Chapter 28: Treasure Vault
As soon as Neuron managed to break the hatch wide enough, he went down the stairway that appeared before him. While doing so he got stuck by a splinter that stuck out, because he opened it just wide enough for him to fit trough. But he exerted some force and was soon free, but sadly he came loose suddenly and so he lost his balance on the stair and tumbled down while shouting.
* You fell down a staircase and hit your head-200Hp
*Fuck, should have opened that hatch wider* He thought while getting up rubbing his head, then he looked around, noticing unlit torches on the wall, he didn`t needed to light up, because of the special feature of his Hawkeyes, and so he went along the corridor, to which the stairs led. At the beginning he was afraid of traps, but after two meters of walking he realized, that someone wouldn`t place traps inside a place he would walk down often. After a right turn he stood before a door that was again locked.
*I should have looked through the remnants of that bandit, oh well, I just have to break another door* and so he did, but this time he just removed the door handle. What presented itself before him was a really glum sight. The room had a cubic layout, with sides about 10meters wide, but inside there laid just a small pile of gold
*That’s all?, all that threatening and that’s all you got, those bandits were more pathetic than I thought*
While thinking that he pocketed all the coins laying around, and sighed again when he checked the sum. It totaled to 2.000 Cold coins. With so much money they could only build 4 more houses, for the oncoming flood of new inhabitants.
*Kyle will be really disappointed, if he finds this out* Neuron thought, while heading out of the depressing vault, when he was outside he opened the building menu and looked through it, maybe he would find something he could do with so little money, something like getting rid of the ruins, or to level the place, so that more houses could be build on saver ground. As soon as he found it, he activated the option.
* Are you sure to level the ruins inside Kilakios valley?
There are still undiscovered cellars, if you decide to level the place those will be destroyed

Of course neuron wanted to explore those cellars, because he thought that they might have some valuables stored, so he said.
“Show location of those cellars”
And out of thin air a map appeared in his hands that showed their locations, this map didn`t show just the location of the cellars, but also the place like it was before time and maybe a war gritted its teeth deep inside this place, but him exploring those cellars rewarded him nothing else, than spider webs and dust on his clothes, an annoyed mood and a hurting head, because he fell down another staircase, and thus his mood was literally in the cellar.
*I don`t want to see a cellar again in my live* while thinking that he once again activated the level option, but again
* Are you sure to level the ruins inside Kilakios valley?
There is still a undiscovered cellar, if you decide to level the place it will be destroyed

*Huh, what the fuck is it saying, I’m sure I went to all god damn cellars around here*, but looking at the map revealed, that the cellar under the leader’s house was still undiscovered, but when he looked closer the blueprint seemed somewhat strange,
*Shit, nothing to do than to look into it again*
And so he did, but not before venting his anger on the innocent hatch and door, smashing them to pieces in the process.
Once inside the vault he looked at the map the game provided him and noticed no changes, it still was marked as undiscovered, but there was something nagging inside of his head
*This can`t be…., wait, maybe the room is bigger than those walls suggest?*
“Show scale of this room” he shouted, and amazingly the map changed to the blueprint of this room, with length specification on all lines, but Neuron didn`t even see them, because with a quick glance he noticed, that the room on the map was in a rectangular shape, and the room he stood in wasn`t.
As soon as he found that out, he ran at the wall opposing the entrance and observed it really close, but he couldn`t see anything strange, the wall was neatly connected to the floor, there were no gaps or variances, when he compared it with the other walls.
*I guess I have to smash this wall*
After coming to this conclusion he headed once again out of the vault and procured many blocks of stone that he removed from the ruins and tossed into the open hatch. When he was satisfied with the amount Neuron went again inside, and placed all six stones neatly at the end of the turn. He then went to the wall he wanted to break down, and made a mana connection with one of the stones, the wall was made of, and connected it with a stone he placed when this task was finished he went out of the way and activated the rubber band. The stone he was barely able to lift accelerated and crashed into the wall, but it splintered at impact, with only leaving a small dent in the wall, but Neuron wasn’t faced, he just did the same thing again, only this time he connected all stones he procured and shot them one after another in rapid succession at the wall. This was only possible, because he used 9 balls of his thread.
After the dust cleared he saw that all five rocks only managed to make some larger cracks in the wall.
*shit, what do I have to do to break it*
And because he was too lazy to go up and procure more blocks he connected himself with the wall, jumped up in the air, turned horizontally and with a loud shout
“Braze for Impact!”
Neuron activated the rubber band and shot towards the wall, right before impact he brought his feet to his body and performed a jump, and thus smashing into the wall with greater force than the stones had.

* Endurance +2
But Neuron didn`t notice those system messages, because he lied on the ground crying and swearing while holding his feet, that bend in a weird way and were shorter than they used to be. But after a short while the pain subsided and his feet healed.
*Damn, this was a stupid idea*
Then he looked towards the wall, when his eyes finally were clear of tears he saw a stunning view, the rocks that made the wall crumbled down at some parts, and revealed a black substance beneath them, when neuron touched it he assessed it to be some kind of metal, although he didn`t knew of one in such a black color, that at the place Neuron shot into it, was bend a few centimeters inwards
*Really a metal wall, what the heck is behind that?! But this is just to Op, but oh well*
“If you want to play dirty I can do so too!” he said to no one in particular.
After saying it he went to the Iron wall and scraped it, to procure bits of Iron, then he concentrated himself to connect the iron scrapes he collected with the “Door” from which he took it
* The connection between the metal scrapes, and the vault door has become permanent

“So see you soon, but at that time you will be open” he said with anticipation but it sounded creepy even to himself,
*If Kyle heard that he would have laughed at me for ages*
Embarrassed he went out of the vault and placed himself so, that between him and the now underground Iron wall where in a straight line roughly 20 meters apart. Of course he stood at the part, where the corridor was, he knew that this would make breaking the door harder, but he did it to prevent that the loose door would destroy some treasures.
Up there he placed a big stone, and then to let the connection manifest through that rock he went behind it before he activated the rubber band Property, this cost him a whopping 3800 Mp, nearly all he had, while the stone sunk a little bit into the ground.
*Wow, this costs much mana, and I don`t want to run out of Mana Balls again, so I have to use them sparingly, shit, this will take time* he added, after he looked at his mana bar and how little it regenerated.
And with it being like that he took out his tailor utensils, and began leveling the skill with little breaks, where he made new Bodkin arrows, and pondered over the next arrow he could add, like this 2 Hours went past with 10 Rubber bands that Neuron managed to create. Those performed a huge pulling force on the rock that drove it into the ground. When Neuron activated the tenth one
* Mana connection has leveled up!

A split of a second after he created the fifteenth one Neuron could feel the whole ground trembling, and some ruins even crumbled altogether.
*This must have been the iron wall!* he thought with a big smile while rising up, and dashing into the vault, not before cancelling the now useless Rubber bands of course.
Inside the whole room was filled with dust, Neuron couldn`t even see his own hands before his face,
and when he went around the corner to go inside the vault to see what happened he hit his head on something and because of all that dust he couldn`t detect what it was.

When his vision finally cleared out, he saw what he crashed into.
“What the fuck is this, how is that possible!?” neuron shouted stupefied. It was the whole Metal Wall that was stuck horizontally inside the wall. The pulling force and acceleration was so powerful, that it was driven into it a whole meter.
But this didn`t hold him up long, because he saw a gleaming from the side were the Wall stood a few moments ago.
While he charged towards it he was able to make out more and more details. The first thing he noticed, where mountains of gold, when he got nearer he saw that diamonds lied between those gold coins. When he reached the part, where the wall stood he had to slow down, because his brain overworked from seeing all those valuables placed neatly one next to each other.
There where shelves with Necklaces, Rings, little Statues. More inside there was a table on which different books where neatly arranged. But what he noticed, no Weapons at all. Not even a well decorated dagger. Then he saw a quiver laying alone on a table. Of course this drew his attention, so he went near it and tried to take it, but he was stopped by something like an invisible barrier. Panicking neuron tried to touch anything inside the room, but all items had that shield.
*Guess that’s the reason, they didn`t fall down, after that explosion* he thought with gallows humor
When he turned around, to go outside to wait for Kyle he saw something white in a edge of the room, walking near it he identified it as a skeleton, that held a heavy book really closely towards its chest, and this piqued his interest. With a “Sorry Pal” He broke its grip free and went out into the sun to read the book, because that was his last straw, if he didn`t do anything, he would go crazy about not being able to touch all those wonderful treasures lined up right in front of him.
At first the book was boring and aggravating to read, because it listed all items inside. Then finally an interesting part came. It was a diary, apparently written by the fellow that died inside the vault.
* If you found me inside this room you must be wondering, why you aren`t able to touch anything, listen to my story.
At the time this is being read, my flesh will surely be long gone, and hopefully not my bones too. If you would be so kind to bury me after reading what I have written I would appreciate the fact.
So it all began with those United Kingdom’s attacking us. This place was the last to fall, because it was designed to withstand a siege for a very long time, maybe also eternity, this was due to Kilakios being the treasure vault for the whole country.
It was ideal, narrow entrance, a big place where crops can be grown, and also a great place to live in. But I go of course, so we are defending ourselves now for over a year, but never where we this close to annihilation. A traitor told our enemy about the passageway that connects Kilakios, to the other side.
When we finally noticed, it was too late, so we decided to at least prevent the invaders from getting the riches f the country owns, so we drew lots, and I drew the short one.
If you are still wondering, it is because the vault could only be closed permanently from the inside, because if the mechanism is outside, someone is bound to stumble over it.
So now I am laying here and waiting for my death, I hope that my finder will bury me….
And like this it continued over the rest of the pages, till he couldn`t write anymore and collapsed.
Neuron wasn`t a brute and fulfilled the last wish of him. He even chose a special place. he would have buried him anyway, even if it didn`t provide him anything, but because of him begging for it so many times he choose a perfect place right where the two valleys met themselves, from where the skeleton could easily watch over Kilakios for which he gave his live.

Then the book Neuron was about to bury with him became hot and glowed. When it cooled of Neuron opened it, and saw, that the begging was replaced by a speech.
* Thank you kind one, whoever you are. Sorry that I had to be so annoying about it, but I wanted to be buried.
While he read, the words began to change; new letters formed themselves, while others disappeared.
* I see, you have buried me in a really nice place, I hope that Kilakios will strive once more under the ruler ship of the both of you.
Goodbye, I will forever be looking over it.
*Creepy, this is just creepy*
* Ah, I nearly forgot, because you buried me in such a nice place, you are now written as the new owner of all the wealth that is placed inside the vault. I hope it will come in handy
Then a white figure formed itself over the grave that flew off somewhere, but Neuron wasn`t there anymore, as soon as he heard that he could pocket the treasure he jumped over the cliff and broke his fall close over the ground with a mana thread he fixed at the top of the cliff.
The next thing he noticed was him being inside the vault and pocketing valuables, so that he would finally be able to flatten everything and begin building the village from scratch.
While going outside a now heavily overloaded Neuron stopped to look at the destruction he caused. The iron wall was apparently pivotable. It appeared, that when it wasn`t used it was fixed to the ceiling, and a step height of difference was between the two rooms, that always where just one, where the wall stood before Neuron ripped it out its place.
This step was eradicated, the wall was forced open from below, because above it couldn`t be moved, so all pulling force concentrated itself below, and when it managed to destroy the step the Wall went horizontal because it was still fastened to the ceiling, then the connection to it broke, and it flew straight into the opposite wall.
*Wow, this makes so much damage, I have to REPLACE it into my fighting style, so how will I do it?*
He thought, while leaving the vault behind him for the last time. Outside he completely leveled the place, not just the ruins, but all that was inside the valley, this cost him 5.000 Gold coins alone, but he couldn`t even feel his pocket becoming lighter at all. Now the whole valley was just a plain brown place.
*good, now I need to begin somewhere*
“Show map of Kilakios valley”. And like before a map appeared, that only showed the outline, namely the cliffs that where around it. He pondered for a while where he should build something, then because he suddenly remembered the NPC`s he bonded with he decided to build their places first, just for old times’ sake, he didn`t think about the place where they should appear, he just placed a archery, a training ground and blacksmiths workshop. Those houses where placed all over the place. Then Neuron had an idea, he looked into their respective windows, and after reading for a while he jumped around while laughing maniacally.

You are able to hire specific NPC`s to work for you, but you have to know their name, occupation, and location.
Only possible with the consent of the hired NPC
“Hire Brairan, archery instructor in the town named Gaber, opposite of the Willamar mountain range”

“Hire Warnton, smith and weapon maniac in the town named Gaber, opposite of the Willamar mountain range”
* A job offer has been sent to Warnton
*Shit, how is the name of the training ground instructor, if I remember correctly Kyle only called him with Master?*
* Warnton and Brairan have accepted your offer, they agreed to work for you for an hourly wage of 20 Silver
“If that ain`t our little Neuron” as soon he heard that familiar voice he turned around with a smile on his face, before him Warnton and Brairan stood, side by side also smiling and looking around
“Hey neuron, you didn`t slack of I see” mentioned Warnton, after looking at the new possession of his pupil, and Brairan, just went towards Neuron and gave him a bear hug.
“Its really great to see the both of you, but before we indulge ourselves in stories, what is the name of the Training ground instructor, that trained Kyle?”
“You don`t know?, I see so Kyle hasn`t mentioned it, he is my brother, well half brother, and his name is Tonan” Answered Warnton
“I seriously didn`t know, he always named him master, and your brother, you never told me!”
“Yeah, he is a strange one” Warnton said while looking into a distant past ignoring the Neurons outburst
“Hey, don`t lose yourself, neuron, I thought you had something to do” Brairan added aiming at Neuron, who only stood there
“Yeah, right, so hire Tonan, training ground instructor in the town named Gaber, opposite of the Willamar mountain range, and the half brother of Warnton, that stands before me”
* A job offer has been sent to Tonan
Immediately after
* Tonan has accepted your offer, he agreed to work for you for an hourly wage of 20 Silver
“Hey there all of you!, where is Kyle” he asked, when he noticed that he wasn`t around
“I`m here!” came the reply from Kyle who just logged in.
