I began heading to the west side of town to find my horse, it's actually surprising that they were able to escape or to be stolen. The town was getting more creepier with every step I took. The dark colors and the burnt buildings didn't make the town any better.
"They should have just let this town burn to ashes, it would have been cheaper to build it again than leave it like this."
I mumbled to myself and touched a burnt support beam of a building, it left black marks on my hand. Staring at the black marks on my hand made me wonder how many people actually died during this fire, how many people had lost everything to the fire, it really made me think about it.
The further I walked, the more burnt stuff there was. During my sheriff training, I remember once coming to this town to investigate a murder that had happened once, the case was never solved but the town was filled with life and people before the fire that took that all away, I assume the culprit was either killed during the fire or they fled from it.
I had walked to a point where most of the buildings are only piles of ash and burnt wood, I wasn't even able to tell what they were before they were burned down. Only a few of these buildings were barely even standing, those being a few houses that were located further away from the others.
I was starting to lose hope for the horse, there were no signs of life to be investigated. The people who were once staring at us were completely gone, while back we could hear their whispers but now we can only hear the wind pushing the trash around the ground.
I was ready to call it quits but suddenly I heard a loud noise from the distance, it startled me but it gave me hope to find the missing horses, or at least one of them. I began heading towards where the noise came from. It became harder to move in the streets because they were filled with trash and broken wooden planks, even the electric poles had fallen on the streets which made it even harder, the muddy streets didn't make it any easier to move.
I had approached a dead end with buildings forming a circle around me, they stood tall with clear signs of what they were before burning, some were houses and some were stores, in the middle was a church with a big cross that had suffered minor damage from the fire.
"Well, either it's good luck or maybe God is real?"
I mumbled to myself and continued looking around. I could hear something from the inside of the church, I had to take a look. I got to the doorway and went inside, the inside was dirty and broken but the noises got louder the further I walked. I could see a shadow figure next to the altar, the noise was coming from it. I went closer and closer until the thing lifted it's head, it was Arthur's horse eating the sacramental bread it had found.

"Hey! Stop it! That ain't for you, unless you're here to pray!"
I shouted at the horse and grabbed the box from them, they stood there with crumbs falling from their mouth. I grabbed their leash and began leading them out of the church.
"Unfortunately, You ain't my horse. But I'm still going to take you back to him.. How does he even handle a juggernaut of a horse like you?!"
I shouted at the horse again. The horse was massive and strong, I'm sure that the horse was able to throw me just by yanking the leash a little harder than usual.
I had gotten the horse out of the church, I checked if it was doing fine and that it was not injured, it was in good condition. I turned around to see what I had to drag the horse through and realized it was going to be a pain in the ass. I also realized a glowing figure standing in the middle of the dead end road. It resembled a human and it was greenish blue.
"Um, hello? Can I help you?"
I asked the thing. The thing took out a long thing and held it in its hand, I assume it was it's hand.
"Hey, drop it!"
I shouted towards the thing and pulled out my sheriff badge.
"In the name of the law, drop it!"
I shouted as I opened my coat and took out my gun, before I could get the gun out the thing dashed towards me quickly holding the long thing at me, I swiftly crouched to avoid it and then swiftly got up and jumped away from the thing. It dashed again and tried to hit me with the thing it had, I took out a knife and hit its attack away from me, its attack sunk to a support beam which gave me time to take out my gun and a few extra knives.
"Stop! I will have you taken to jail for this!"
I shouted at the thing as it tried pulling its weapon off from the support beam. The thing had no intention of stopping and it managed to pull out the weapon, it then dashed at me again and tried to hit me again. I blocked its attack but the knife got heavily damaged, I quickly shot the thing and the bullets flew right through the thing. It then hit my right shoulder with the weapon, it also went right through me. I then swiftly jumped away from the thing and stood still.
"You can't hurt me! I can't hurt you! What are your ideas?! Why do we fight?"
I asked the thing, the thing then proceeded to dash at me again, this time I stood still and let it do its thing. It tried to pierce me with the weapon and then punch the same spot to make a hole in my chest. The thing then hit me multiple times and slowed down.
"Getting tired?"
I asked the thing and smiled, then it stopped attacking me. It stood there and then began fading away. I stood there staring at the thing as it faded away.
"Wait... All this for nothing?"
I asked the thing as it faded away. It had faded away and left me wondering what was the point of the fight.
"Wait, it still managed to damage one of my knives... Oh well."
I wondered and looked at the knife, it had a big crack on it that made it nearly useless. I loaded the missing bullets back into the gun and holstered it. I then went back to the horse which wasn't surprisingly scared away.
"C'mon, horsey, let's get you to your owner."
I said and began leading it through the trashed streets. I began wondering how I managed to move around so fast during that fight. I did kind of feel light headed but I think it was from stress. It was going to be a pain to get this juggernaut through all this trash, it wasn't going to be a fast quest, rather a painfully long one.
