The shooting competition was starting soon and I'm still gasping for air, this was going to be a nightmare for me. I had to check my holster that did I actually have my gun, I didn't have it.
"Wait, where the hell is my gun?"
I asked Arthur and he looked at me and laughed. I wasn't really sure why.
"Don't you remember? They took it away from you for this race so no one would shoot anyone with their gun."
Arthur said. I calmed down and began wondering how long the waiting was going to take.
"Ready up! The shooting will began in about five minutes! I recommend those who participate in the shooting to come get their guns back to check if they are in the condition to be used."
A man yelled behind a counter and took out a massive box full of guns. A bunch of people rushed to the box and began digging around it to find their gun, only a few people didn't rush to the box. Most of the guns were marked with a tag with their owners name on them, I'm not sure was mine marked with a tag but I was gonna find out soon. After the huge crowd of people had left I began digging around the box to find my gun. It took some time but I managed to find my gun, it wasn't marked but I could tell it was mine because it was shining since it was brand new. After I took it I got some nasty looks from the others because they probably thought I was rich, I wish I were though.
"The box is getting emptier! That means people have found their guns! After that you can select a shooting spot for yourself! Be aware! You cannot change the spot after you choose it!"
An announcer yelled and opened up a gate to the shooting range. Some people rushed to some spots and some stood behind trying to choose the perfect spot, I couldn't tell anything different in any of them so I went to the middle spot. It was a small booth with wooden walls in the sides and a table on the right side with a ton of different types of ammo, small and big caliber. I took a few and loaded the gun and put it on the table to wait for the instructions.
"After everyone has chosen a booth, load your gun and place it on the table on your right! After everyone has done that we will give more instructions!"

The announcer yelled again. I had loaded the gun and placed it on the table so all I had to do was to wait. Someone next to my booth peeked to my booth and quickly looked around then looked at me.
"A new gun, huh? Did yer daddy buy that to ya?
The man asked and grinned at me. I looked at him and took the gun from the table.
"Nope. Bought with the money I made myself. Mind your own business, mister."
I said to the man as I was showing him the gun, he appeared to be pissed off about it.
"Good for you, kiddo. We will see if you know how to use that gun in a bit, keh."
The man said with an annoyed tone and went back into his booth. I put the gun back on the table and leaned on the booth wall to get a more comfortable position. I could see some shooting targets rise in the distance, I could also hear the announcers talk about the targets and something about the differences in the participators guns.
"You might have realized that the targets had rose out of the ground in the distance, that means that the shooting can almost start! We have realized that some people have a different kind of guns, some can hold more bullets than others which would be a advantage in the shooting! We have chosen to allow everyone to only use five bullets so it would be fair for everyone!"
The announcer yelled, then a couple of people began checking our guns and the amount of bullets they can hold. My gun held five bullets since it was an automatically reloading one, and also the newest model, that kind of explains why it costed a fortune.
The people had finally checked all of the guns and took the extra ammo out of the guns, so no one would cheat.
"If you somehow had managed to sneak a few extra bullets back into the gun, we have cameras on you and your shooting target, if you get caught you will be disqualified!"
The announcer yelled again, after that I could hear a few bullets fall to the ground, somehow some people got disqualified before the shooting even began.
"There will be two rounds of shootings, the first round will be a classic with just a regular shooting target. The second round will have a moving target slightly further away than the first one."
The announcer yelled. One of his helpers lend him a paper right after finishing talking.
"You get points for hitting the target, the closer you shoot to the middle the more points you get, the maximum you can get with one shot is ten points and to achieve that you need to get a perfect bullseye. You need a total of forty five points to be qualified."
The announcer said and lend back the paper. Everyone stood silent and looked at the announcer.
"Are the instructions clear?! If so, get to shooting!"
The announcer yelled and stood up. Everyone answered and grabbed their guns and fired. I took the gun and took steady aim to try and score a bullseye, of course it was going to be hard but I needed to be qualified and after that I have to win.
