The person that was against me had also taken their first shot, the counter wrote it down for us.
"How's the drink, pal?"
I asked the person in front of me, they heard me put ignored me once again, I could see them get the chills from the taste.
I poured myself another shot and took it, the person in front of me did the same. After taking them the counter wrote them down. Everything felt boring and time was passing slowly. I think I also felt the ground shaking a bit, or it was my imagination.
I took the bottle and poured another shot for myself but as I was pouring I could see something in the distance, it was movement. I almost took the shot but put it on the table and pointed into the distance where the movement was in.
"Ya guys see that as well?"
I said as I was pointing. The counter looked at the direction and so did the person in front of me, the counter was worried.
"W-Wait here for a bit, I will be back soon."
The counter said and placed the board on the table and ran towards the announcer. I had a chance to see their name and took the chance, their name was Ana.
"Ana, huh?"
I asked, they turned their head towards me as quickly as they can.
"Shut it you stalker."
They said and turned their head away from me again. I thought of that name for a bit.
"Wait, isn't that a woman's name? Wait... You're a woman?!"
I said loudly as I slammed my hands on the table. In a second they pulled out a gun and pointed it at me.
"I said shut it!"
They yelled, somehow the neighboring tables just now realized that we were talking, and also that they were pointing a gun at me. The neighboring tables took out their guns and pointed them at them as well.
"Hey now, put that down before this gets nasty."
A neighboring man said and cocked his gun, they didn't react at all.
"Do as he said you moron!"
Another neighboring man yelled and held their gun out. They began sweating and the gun began shaking a little bit, I stood still and quiet just in case.
"The hell are you people even arguing about?"
A man asked and walked up to the table, he came from the side where the counting board was on, meaning he could see our names. I snatched the board and wiped their name off from it and replaced it with the name Bill. I threw it back on the table and acted like I did nothing.
"This guy is just handling the liquor better than me! It pisses me off!"
I said and slammed my fist on the table, they slowly began putting their gun down and eventually back into their holsters.

"You bastard! We thought this was something serious!"
A man said and put his gun back to its holster, I could see a counter shaking in fear wondering how and why any of us have weapons inside a competition.
"Oh, sorry. It just happened to annoy me a lot."
I said. The others put their weapons away and continued the competition, I think they should have checked us before they let us in, a drunk guy with a gun would actually be terrifying.
"Why? Why did you do that?"
They asked me in a neutral tone.
"If I would have revealed that you were a woman, these people would have began treating you like shit, I can't stand to see that."
I said quietly just to be sure no on heard, then I took the liquor bottle and poured a shot for myself and for them.
"But why? I haven't done any good for you, and I won't do."
They said. I let out a sigh and took the shot glass.
"Welp, I would have died if I would have revealed that"
I said and looked at the shot glass, they seemed to agree.
"That is also true."
They said and took the shot glass.
"So, how about it, Bill?"
I said and held out the shot glass. They held out their shot glass as well.
"What a stupid name, but fine."
They said and both took our shots at the same time. Both coughed from the taste.
"Attention everyone! There seems to be a slight problem in this competition!"
The announcer suddenly yelled.
"There seems to be raiders approaching the town, well to be more specific, they are approaching this competition!"
The announcer once again yelled. Everyone had stopped drinking and began listening to the announcer.
"Because they are approaching this competition first, we have to defend the place as much as we can before help arrives! Everyone who wants to help will be paid back the money they had to pay to attend this competition and they will also receive a full bottle of the liquor we served you!"
The announcer yelled, suddenly everyone took their guns out and loaded them. I was going to help as well just so I will get my money back, I don't care about the liquor at all. I walked to the gate to talk to Joy, he was nowhere to be seen.
"Hey, Joy! Throw me my guns!"
I yelled hoping that he heard it where ever he was. Eventually I could see a bag flying across the sky, it was heading my way. I caught the bag and looked inside, my guns were there. I took the guns out and put them back to their holsters, the bag also contained extra ammo for the guns, I really hope the aliens invent a reloadable laser gun, it would make the gun way more convenient.
"Those who will help, hop over the fence and form a vertical line! And help the personnel carry the tables and bags to the line, you can use those as cover!"
The announcer yelled, he was also reloading a gun with his shaky hands. The people also went to grab their bigger guns, such as rifles and cannons, who would use a cannon? I could see that a few people actually had carriable cannons as weapons, also the woman I named Bill was using one, her real name was Ana, I didn't know she was going to take part in this. I was outside the competition area moving the bags for cover as they were getting closer and closer to us.
"You ain't got bigger weapons?"
Ana asked as I was sitting on the ground.
"I don't use bigger weapons, other than..."
I said and stopped, she was confused.
"Other than what?"
She asked again, a drop of sweat began rolling down my cheek.
"...This gun, yes, this gun!
I said and took out the gun I made myself. She looked at it and smiled.
"Not bad, it still ain't as big as this though."
She said and dropped her cannon on the ground. It looked a lot like she made it herself, it was finely made with light metals and parts.
"That sure is a nicely made cannon."
I said and tapped it a few times. I gave her my hand cannon for her to look at it. She seemed interested in it.
"What is this metal you're using? It's something I have never seen before."
She said and handed the gun back. I looked at the cannon and put it back to it's holster.
"It's just darker metal, nothing special."
I said, she nodded and sat down. She still had the hooded cloak on.
"Alright, just asking."
She said. I sat there wondering about who the raiders were but I would only get that answer after they arrive.
"Alright everyone! Get ready! Approximately fifteen minutes and they will be here!"
The announcer yelled. People began taking cover and checking their weapons. Ana took cover in the same place as I did, the spot had a good amount of bags to stop bullets, I think. She took out a smaller gun and I took out the hand cannon and loaded it up with gas, Ana seemed interested of the gun.
"I will explain how it works after this."
I said and began pointing at the raiders. Who were they? What do they want? That doesn't matter, they were gonna pay for interrupting the competition.
