Tifa POV:
As Trish and Emma were both knocked awat by the powerful Ms. Evangelion, Evan's reflexes kicked in and he caught Trish before throwing him to safety and dashing towards Emma's direction. With the speed of a cheetah, he leaped into the air and stood inbetween Emma and Ms. Evangelion.
Before I could make a move Evan was chomped up and thrown up into the sky by her.
…
It all happened in the blnk of an eye, Ms. Evangelion spat fire at Evan but not only did he block her attack, but dodged the surprise attack behind the first attack. Not only that, but he latched onto her and knocked her down from the sky. I thought Evan had it all under control until he was also hit by Ms. Evangelion and sent swinging down the sky alongside her.
“NO!” I screamed with worry. Mom noticed and grew some vines out of the ground to cushion Evan’s fall but that wasn’t going to be enough! Mom's Vines has only one fatal flaw and that's the fact that they can't reach far!
What Do I Do! What DO I DO!!!
Just then, Evan was enveloped with magical blue sparkles as he vanished into thin air.
“What the hell just happen?” Trish spoke out what everyone was thinking.
“Teleportation Magic! That was teleportation magic! Shishou is a genius!!!” Lucy screamed with great enthusiasm. She was always excited whenever Evan did anything. I guess it is the pride of a pupil.
The ground shook beneath us as Ms. Evangelion plummeted down like a meteorite, sending a deafening shockwave that rippled through the air. When the dust and smoke cleared, we saw her lying motionless on the ground, a giant crater around her, as if struck by divine judgment. Moments later, she struggled to stand up so we all knew we had to act fast before she took to the sky again.
Trish suddenly faced Mom and started talking. “Your Highness, can you please hold down Ms. Evangelion for some time.”
Mom nodded towards him, “I can, but what will you do.”
“If we can damage her enough so that she won't be able to move then, Evan's friend here can save Ms. Evangelion”
Mom eyes flashed with determination, “Alright, I will do my best.”
Trish nodded and faced his army.
“All Troops! Listen Up! From out earlier fight, I have concluded that the dragon's only weak spots are its eyes, inside the mouth and between its toes! So! On my mark, everyone will charge in and attack those parts! All Warriors! On Me”
Sarah’s competitive spirit rose up, “Heh! Sounds Interesting! All Archers! Attack the dragon’s eyes on my signal, Whoever that misses will receive some harsh punishments from yours truly!”
It was Oswald who started speaking next, “Sensei! I have recovered all my Mana! Let me help you!”
Lucy looked towards him with a smile, “Alright! All Magicians! If the Warriors Retreat, then it’s our Job to cover their backs and blast the Dragon to another dimension!”
The warriors, archers and the mages made a loud war cry, signalling that they were all ready and couldn’t wait to face their for. Looking at their enthusiasm, I felt a bit jealous. I’m neither a Warrior, Archer or a Mage.
I was an outsider from the very start. Even though I was in the Assassin’s corps, I was never fully accepted by the others. It was as if they saw me as a burden, an afterthought. I only joined my Mother’s private army later when I found out that she was my mother and because she and my sister pushed me to do so. But deep down, I knew that It Doesn't change who I am…
Ms. Evangelion struggled to crawl out of the crater that formed when she landed. There was a sense of tension in the air when I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned to see it was my mom who was there. “I don't know what you're thinking. But I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to prove anything. Just stay with me and that's enough.” While she talked to me, her eyes was fixated on the dragon in case it made any sudden moves.
But… I don't have to prove anything, huh? I spent my whole life trying to prove that I was like everyone else. Sarah Helped me, but she was still busy with her work more. It was only until after I met Evan who showed me the other side of the Coin, taught me the wonders of life and brought colour into my world. Even though it hasn't been long since we met, but he has taught me all the things I always wanted to do and now… I don't have to prove myself worthy of others.
… The one thing he's taught me more than anything else is that you can only see the world's real colours when you're worthless. and being worthless is not a bad thing either, staying worthless, is.
I held her hand that was on my shoulder and nodded with a smile. Which made her smile back.
I don't want to prove anything to anyone anymore. But I will show everyone how far I've come.
“Your highness, please bind her down if she tries to fly or when we’re near her!” Trish said to my mom who responded with a firm nod. “Alright! My soldiers! Charge!!!” With a fierce battle cry, Trish charged forward, his spear held high as he led the charge of 50 knights towards the formidable Ms. Evangeline.
Ms. Evangeline noticed our attack and tried flapping her wings to gain some height, As Ms. Evangeline tried to take to the air, a forest of vines erupted from the ground around her, curling around her massive body like the tendrils of some great beast. With a sound like thunder, the vines yanked her back down to earth, where she thrashed and writhed, struggling to break free.
The knights almost made their way to her as a volley of arrows was launched by my sister in the rear-guard while the magicians waited for their turn.
Evan POV:
It was awkward running out of my own house again but I had I’m so glad that the trick I used back in the game can be used again. I still received some fall damage, but atleast it was the fall damage of a couple meters of fall and not a couple hundred.
I still have about 8 more Recall Potions. In my inventory so I’m good on it’s continuous use.
Anyway, I bolted towards the battlefield the second time and I just hope I get there in time. Oh, just in case I should charge up a mana ball with all my mana and any that regenerates on the way there just in case I have to use a large scale spell quick.
Tifa POV:
The battle raged on, The army moved with precision, their swords and spears lodging between the dragon's claws like thorns piercing through flesh. Ms. Evangelion thrashed about like a wounded animal, her claws lashing out in a desperate attempt to break free. But the soldiers were relentless, their weapons finding purchase in the dragon's weak spots. Trish himself wedged his spear between the beast's teeth again when she tried to eat him up.
Trish noticed that Ms. Evangelion swung her head back as she prepared for another one of her fire breath attacks and immediately issued a retreat. She tried to spew out molten lava but the spear stuck in her mouth stopped her from doing too much and she couldn’t do much since the soldiers were already far away. The molten lava also seemed to have an effect on mom’s invinvible vines as they were slowly melting away.
I can only imagine the pain she’s going through right now.
The dragon’s fire breath attack couldn’t do much either since the soldiers were already far away. The molten lava also seemed to have an effect on mom’s invincible vines as they were slowly melting away.
“Our Turn Now!” Sarah yelled as another volley of arrow was shot towards the dragon Ms. Evangeline noticed it and closed her eyes, most of the arrows missed their mark, the rest that did reach their mark, couldn’t even penetrate the hide of her eyelids.

“UGHHH!” Sarah groaned with frustration, “Alright, I give up! She can't be damaged by arrows! We need something more powerful!”
The vines that had once restrained Ms. Evangeline had now melted away, and she was free once again. The warriors, who had lodged their weapons in her weak spots, had retreated back to us without their means of defense.
“Alright, Everyone! Now It's Our Turn!” Said Lucy.
“Give it everything you got!” Oswald followed suit.
It was the magicians turn now since the knights had retreated, our last hope.
The magicians sprang into action, their faces etched with determination. With a wave of their wands, multiple icebergs materialized above the dragon and descended upon her with a deafening crash. One after another, 24 icebergs pelted Ms. Evangelion with all their might, their frigid surfaces causing her to shiver and shake. The magicians were drained of their mana, their bodies quivering with exhaustion as they realized their attack had failed. Not a single scratch was visible on the dragon's scaly hide, and the magicians were left defenceless, their fate now in the hands of their allies.
I looked over to my mom and her face full of worry and sweat from the heat of battle.
I took in a deep breath and took out the Silver bow that Evan gifted to me a few days ago. He said he got a better one and wanted me to have his old one. He also taught me a lot about archery that time. Although I'm not an expert, It should be enough to knock her back.
I took in another deep breath as I no longer felt the heat from the flames that surrounded us. Everything seemed to slow down as Ms. Evangelion flew towards us. Queen Daisy erected up her barrier magic as a last case effort but that didn’t involve me. I think I heard my mom calling me out but I couldn’t get distracted now. For me, only two things existed right now, The dragon, and my bow.
The Dragon was Charging straight towards me when I remembered one of Evan's Teaching.
‘The Bow, Huh? Its hard to Utilize it fully but when done properly then none of your enemies are safe, near or far. One of the biggest Misconception I think the ‘Bow’ has is that users of it think to stay away from enemies to use it. However, you can't bring out its full potential if you cower away and use it. If you’re too far, the arrow losses all its momentum, If you’re too close, there’s no momentum for it to use, You gotta find that sweet spot to bring out any bow’s full potential. The best way I can explain it is that using the bow is like staring at 'Death' straight in the eye and telling him to fuck off.’ -Evan.
I took in another deep breath and bent down a little as I closed my eyes and focused. This is one of the skills Evan taught me called 'Sniping Arrow'.
Focus.
‘The Bow is your Focus and the Arrow is your Will. Remember it well and keep it in your mind when you hold your bow and shoot your arrow otherwise don’t waste your time.’ -Evan.
I opened my eyes and all I could see was the dragon near me, yet also far away. It felt like I was in another world. I couldn’t help but grin a little. Is this what you meant when you told me to look death straight in the eye?
The dragon's jaws unhinged with a thunderous roar, revealing a chasm of darkness and death. I drew my bow and let my arrow fly, It shot forward like a bullet and spun like a silver whirlwind as it pierced the void and found its mark with a huge boom. The beast's head recoiled, its massive frame convulsing as it struggled to dislodge the arrow from its throat. Seizing the opportunity, I dove aside as Ms. Evangelion's massive body fell to the ground. I had narrowly avoiding being crushed by her thrashing limbs. As her head hit the ground and created a trail of destruction, leaving a deep trench in its wake. The ground shook with the impact, sending tremors through my body.
Just when I thought the chaos was over, I saw the dragon's head slammed into Queen Daisy barrier shield with a resounding thud, sending sparks flying in every direction. The force of the impact reverberated through the air, causing my ears to ring.
For a moment, everything was still. Ms. Evangelion lay motionless on the ground, and the air was filled with the sound of heavy breathing and the crackling of flames. It was as if the world was holding its breath, waiting to see what would happen next.
Everyone was stupefied when Ms. Evangelion slowly stood back up. I prepared another arrow to shoot but Ms. Evangeline just flapped her wings and tried flying away.
“She’s trying to flee!” Trish quickly screamed as I tried to get into stance again and shoot another arrow.
“No! Evangelion!” Queen Daisy screamed with sorrow as she saw her friend going away but before I could do anything, I heard a deafening explosion come from over the kingdom walls…
Evan POV:
Okay, maybe I spent a little too much time on this Mana ball I’ve been charging up. I’m pretty sure I’ve spent like a thousand Mp on this thing, just as much as it took for daisy to turn into that monstrosity.
I look towards the battlefield from the Kingdom walls and I could see Ruby slowly flap her wings and try to fly away from everyone else.
Wait… is she seriously trying to flee? Not on my flippen watch!
I Shape Shifted this Mana ball which contained thousands of Mana points, into an Arrow. I also imbued the arrow with the Wind blade spell, giving it more slashing power but that also changed the arrow’s pointy end into a crescent-shaped blade.
Cooooool.
I took out my dark purple Demon Bow and readied the arrow. I also used Siege with Sniping arrow and imbued them both with Wind Vortex. I couldn’t put the wind vortex spell on the arrow I created because It would just explode on my face, but I could put that spell on the ‘Siege’ and ‘Sniping arrow’ so I did that.
Now. I’m not trying to kill Ruby. But I also can’t not make this arrow more powerful.
I could feel the wind revolving around with power rather than speed. It made me feel like im in the middle of a tornado.
“What an amazing and destructive power!” Said one of the guards stand near me whom I didn’t even notice until now.
Shut up guards!
I aimed towards Ruby and let go of the Arrow. The sheer power of the arrow leaving the bow made a Loud explosion that blew everyone away. Including me.
Ruby was doing her best to fly away but the Arrow went and cleaved her left wing clean off!
-897
HOLY SHIT THAT DAMAGE!!! and It wasn't even a critical!
I started sweating when I realized that if that hit was a critical then Ruby actually might have died.
Ruby Wailed loudly and Fell to the ground while I quickly grappled towards her.
As I arrived on the scene, Elizabeth's vines had ensnared Ruby, trapping her to the ground. Emma was crouched beside her, her hands hovering over Ruby's head, as a soft white light began to emanate from her palms. Ruby's still form lay there, helpless, while Emma worked her magic.
“Looks like I got here in the nick of time just to shoot her down huh.” My voice shocked everyone as they all turned to look at me. There was smiles all around as they realized it was I Who brought her down.
“Evan!” Tifa screamed as she ran up to me and straight up hugged me. “Thank goodness!” She tightened her hug as she seemed relieved to see me okay.

A realization dawned on Tifa, and her grip on me loosened with sudden embarrassment. A rosy blush crept up her cheeks, betraying her realization. Just as she let go, Lucy jumped up to me and grabbed my hands with stars blinking in her eyes. “Shishou! You used teleportation magic when you were falling didn't you!?”
“Huh, Uhh that?” I took out a recall potion from inventory and showed her the flask with light blue magical liquid swirling inside. “It wasn't teleportation magic but rather Teleportation Alchemy. I'll teach you about it soon enough.”
“AHH! HAHAHA! I CAN HARDLY WAIT!” Lucy screamed with thrill but now it was Trish who walked up to me.
“I am glad to see you’re okay Evan. Good job bringing Ms. Evangeline down but I have to ask, what weapon was that which you used to shoot her down.”
“Oh that was just some…” I flashed a mischievous grin. “Magic.” Trish sighed but Emma called me out so I walked over to her. I saw that Ruby had already turned back to a human, or a dragon-kin in this case, there was a blanket covering her naked self but I could see a lot of dark-purplish scales covering her body that was hidden under her clothes last time. Daisy was kneeling down with her and explaining the whole situation while Elizabeth was standing next to her just in case.
“Master Evan. She is healed.” Emma said in her monotonous voice like this was another routine job for her.
“Yea, Thanks. You were a huge help.” She nodded and held her hands towards me with robotic, yet expectant eyes.
“Oh yea, the cost. How much do I owe you?”
“34 Silver coins.”
I gaming system popped up in my view and I just thought yes to the payment before it went away and Emma did a slight bow to me.
“Evan.” It was Daisy who walked up to me next followed by Elizabeth and Ruby who was covering herself with the blanket but her long and thick, alluring legs were still visible, covered in scales that grew darker at the sides. Also I couldn’t help myself put sneak a peek at her naked feet, It wasn’t something I did naturally but the internet had poisoned my mind into doing it whenever there was naked woman’s feet in the vicinity.
Wait. I’m not even attracted to feet why am I doing this?
My thoughts were distracted my Daisy talking to me. “You have no idea how grateful I am to you saving my friend.”
“Don’t be, It was kinda my fault to begin with.” Daisy made a helpless sign but it was all in good thought.
“D-Did I really do this?” Ruby asked nervously as she looked at the surrounding where the lush green forest was not charred black with fire burning in the background like a scene from hell.
“Yep, You also almost chomped me up too, twice as a matter of fact.”
“I am so, So Sorry about it, I didn’t mean to-”
“Yea, Yea, I know. I forgive you but let’s talk about this later, Daisy you fill her up on what’s happening and try to extinguish the fire burning everything away before it starts effecting the ecosystem… though I guess it has already affected it greatly.” I paused for a moment to think as I thought I was forgetting something. “Oh yea, I have to take care of all the refugees coming near my house… Who wants to join me in giving them the good news?”
“I'll go, The soldiers will listen to me.” Said Trish as Tifa Joined in too.
“Wait! Bring me too!” Said Sarah but Elizabeth gave her a cold look.
“Don’t think you can run away from your responsibilities lady.”
“Damn it! I was too slow!” Sarah cursed but everything made a turn for the good.
It was finally started feeling like everything went back to normal.
Now the only thing left to do after this is to check on Lucy for clues because if she has learned the How to learn Japanese book from one of the previous hero, then just maybe… she’s hiding more secrets than I can imagine.
Anywho, that was a thing for after we finished dealing with the aftermath.
