*Evan POV*

“...Sorry” I said to the angry Luna.

I was beaten up by both Luna and the mystery girl who jumped down from the sky. I was knocked down, and they both ganged up to beat me up until I had less than half of my HP left. It was only when the elven girl, whom I had scared enough to cry, stopped them from beating me up and explained that it was a misunderstanding that I was spared. The mystery woman went to console the crying elven girl and i was made to sit down in a sieza in front of Luna who had her arms crossed and was looking at me with cold eyes. The mystery girl was also an Elf, she had blonde hair in a twin ponytail, but her height was so small that she could be mistaken for a teenager. Also, every now and then, she would look at me like I had killed her parents.

“So?” Luna said as she was looking down at me with cold eyes.

“I didn't really mean any of it.” I looked down apologetically with my face beaten down and blood trickling from my nose. “What happened was that I thought she was a part of the Cultists who were after us because she was acting really suspiciously. So, I used some intimidating methods I learned from Liza.” I mixed in some lies about my methods in between my explanation.

I looked towards the Elf who was being consoled by her friend and tried apologizing, “I’m really sorry about what just happened. I didn't mean any of it.”

She was still trembling and had her face buried in her friend’s shoulder.

“I-Its okay,” she said in between her slow cries. “I was just scared. I had never been kidnapped like that. T-That's all.”

Her friend, who was staring daggers at me suddenly said angrily. “I seriously would've killed you right now. If Tifa hadn't stopped me, then you really would be dead meat by now!”

“Yes, I know, and sorry again.”

The Elf named Tifa finally emerged from her friends’ shoulder and wiped away the rest of the tears that were on her face, after that, she tried to stand up and straighten herself, but she stumbled a little.

“I-Its okay now, right?” She said almost apologetically. “It was also my fault for just spying on you rather than going up to you and talking. So, um... You don't have to sit down on the ground anymore, I forgive you.”

I looked at Luna.

“Hmph. Fine,” Luna said with lingering anger as she pouted and looked away.

I finally stood up and, well, because of the pain immunity I wouldn't feel any pain anyways so I'm fine either way. The only problem was that we wasted some precious time but if I can get my name cleared then I’m okay with it. I started dusting off the dirt from my pants and didn’t notice the other elf has somehow stood right in front of me.

“O-oh Hi!” I fumbled a bit. “I'm Evan, also knows as Rei-” I couldn’t finish my sentence as I heard something crack and my body jumped up a bit.

I saw the damage numbers above me, implying that I was just hit really hard. When I looked down, I noticed that blonde Elf had her foot planted in my crotch. ... She had kicked me in the balls.

THANK YOU, PAIN IMMUNITY SENSEI! I thought. You’ve saved me from a world of Pain!

“That's for making Tifa cry.” Tifa’s elven friend said with vengeance.

“Oh, I see” I responded completely ok by her kicking me straight in the balls.

She was surprised by no reaction. “H-How?” She said, almost afraid of my powers.

“Easy.” I said while giving a wide smirk. “Its cause my balls are made of steel.”

I was still inflicted with a debuff that I really hoped she wouldn’t notice.

Cracked nuts: Can't move for 16 seconds.

Now that I think about it, there’s a lot of new kind of debuffs here that I haven’t noticed in the base game.

“Hmm?” Tifa’s elf friend said as she put her hand on her chin and looks at me curiously.

She then moves forward and flicks one of her finger at my forehead. In response, I fell down like a weightless plank.

“Okay, maybe it hurts like hell.” I accepted my as I lied down on the cold hard ground.

“Ha! Revenge is a dish best served cold.” She said grinning evilly and happily

“R-Reid!?” Luna said, the only one worried about me amongst the other two girls.

“Don't worry, I'm fine. Just pain.” I tried to wave my hand to show her that there was no problem but even my hand wouldn’t move. “That reminds me, Why were you looking for me anyway?”

“To recruit you.” Tifa said sadly as she looked away.

“Recruit me?” I said confused.

“Yea,” The blonde elf just said, “I thought you could help Tifa on her missions but now I'm not sure.”

Missions? What are they on about? I thought to myself.

“Sarah, please.” Tifa talked to her friend who seems to be named Sarah. “We're already here now, so might as well? And this was an accident. Nothing more nothing less.”

“Tsk, if you insist.” Sarah said as was not happy with me.

Tifa suddenly looked at us as she remembered something “I almost forgot! we also have information about your king and queen!”

Luna suddenly forgot about the foul mood she was in and quickly said “P-Papa and Mama!? Where are they!?”

Tifa was going to say something else but Luna’s words stopped her. “Papa and mama?” She said. “Are you their sole daughter.”

Luna nodded quickly. By this time my debuff had also finally finished so I quickly stood up.

I looked at Luna and she looks hesitant now. Hey, am I more important or your parents? I thought to myself, but she’s struggling to answer. I’ll help her in the end.

“Fine, I'll join.” I said as I raised my hands like I had given up.

Luna wanted to say something but Sarah quickly interrupted her, “I also wanted to ask this before but are those goggles?”

That’s a random thing to ask. I thought to myself “Uh, Yea? I made them, why do you ask?”

“Well,” Sarah started explaining, “One of our kind requested a mission to obtain lens which he wanted to develop into goggles like those you're wearing right now. We were doing that mission when we first saw you, fighting an endless horde of zombies at night time. I really didn't think you would survive.”

“What?” Luna said as she looked at me worriedly... But did Sarah just said something about the lens?

“Wait, hold on.” I stopped whatever anyone was doing. “A mission about Lens?” I asked as I remembered that the cultist were also looking for lens.

“Hm?” Sarah looked at me weirdly as she started answering. “Yea, our quartermaster requested it, he wanted to make goggles by using the lens from demon eyes for the Elves festival which happens every year to celebrate the birthday of our queen.”

I couldn’t help but grin widely. Jackpot. I thought. I finally found you. Cultists.

I was really happy with my findings but now I have to somehow get these elves on my side. “Okay,” I said, “I know I said before that I will join you but there is a really huge problem that this kingdom is facing right now. And I really need your help in that.”

“A huge problem?” Tifa asked me but Luna interrupted her.

“No! Reid! I already told you that you're not facing that thing!”

Ugh, I have to somehow convince Luna first.

“Sorry,” I said without being sorry, “But I've already made my preparations and this is a huge deal that involves the lives of many.”

“NO MEANS NO!” Luna screamed out almost in tears and she might start crying again if I don't listen to her.

“Alright, fine.” I said as I almost gave up. “But I'm still telling the Adventurers guild about all the things I found, okay?”

Luna wiped some tears off her face and looked really happy. “Really!?” She said. “You really won't Go!? P-Promise me you won't Go!”

Of course, I will go. But I'm just not telling you that. I thought to myself.

I just gave a thumbs up in the end and she sighed in relief.

Woohoo! Deception is working perfectly.

“W-Wait what is this huge problem we’re facing?” Tifa asked me with some fear in her words.

I quickly responded, “I'll explain everything at the Adventurers Guild. For now, just remember this problem can wipe out both this kingdom and your place too. So, quickly follow me!” I started running as they put their capes on and started following me.

Soon, we all reached the Adventurers guild with no problems and I opened up its doors.

“Good morning everyone!” I said without even looking if there’s anyone inside.

I only saw the veteran Lark and the mature torturer/interrogator Liza inside. Lark was talking about something to Liza who was behind the counter. There was some sort of a heavy atmosphere around them, it seems like they haven’t gotten any new information. Well, looks like it’s up to me to make them happy again.

“I've come bearing good news!” I said all excitedly and happily.

Lark and Liza both looked at us with surprise, especially lark who suddenly screamed out.

“LITTLE MISS! There you Are!” Lark looked so happy to see Luna.

“Woah,” I quickly interrupted him, “What happened Lark?”

He was about to run here but suddenly stopped.

“Well,” he said, scratching the back of his head. “We were supposed to keep her here remember? But she kept trying to escape until we locked her in a room. But then I heard the windows breaking and her scream in the room. So, I hurried in to check out what was going on but someone smacked me from behind and I collapsed. We all got worried and thought the Cultists got her.”

“What?” I said as I raised my eyebrow at Luna. She responded by pouting and looking away.

I made a troublesome sigh. What am I gonna do with her? I thought to myself

“Don't worry, Lark.” I said, “It was just another one of her escaping attempts.”

“Really!?” He said as he wiped the sweat off his brow. “Phew, I'm saved from Liza's wraith then.”

“You're still going to receive some harsh training from me.” Liza said as she was enveloped by an angry aura, it made lark flinched at her words.

“Hey Liza, How are you holding up?” I asked her as she looked really tired.

“Barely.” Liza said lazily “I’ve been running everywhere right and I couldn’t get much slept must last night either.”

“Oh, here, take this. It might help, might not. I don't really know but it’s better than nothing.” I gave her one of my swiftness potion.

“Hm? Are you sure?” She asked me and I nodded. I have no idea if it would really help though.

“Thank you.” She said as she drunk the green coloured potion. Her pupils widened as the tiredness aura emanating from her completely disappeared.

Liza smiled brightly and said “Thanks, that helped a lot.”

It did?

Liza interrupted my thoughts and said “You said you had good news?”

Her words instantly brought me back to the right track and I said quickly. “Oh yeah! I may have found where the Cultists are.”

Liza and Lark both looked at me seriously.

“So is anyone ganna fill us in what's going on around here?” Sarah, who was behind me, said confused.

“Lark, can you do that?” I asked lark to inform the hooded Tifa and Sarah about what’s going on.

“Sure, So, listen here miss's...” Lark started to tell them on what's happening and Luna walked up to next to me for no reason.

I looked at Luna and she looked away, she stood next to me as if she only wanted my company. I looked towards Liza and started explaining all the things that has happened so far. “What I found out is that they're gonna summon the eye of Cthulhu in the Elven kingdom. Those two behind me are Elves, whom I conveniently met up with, told me that they were working on a mission to retrieve some lens yesterday. If what they’re saying is correct then we have a solid lead. We can wake up Lennard and get some more info out of him. Aside from that, I need to visit Arnold for a sec so I’ll be right back.”

Liza nodded and I went upstairs with Luna following me. I need to make her stop following me.

“Hey Luna can you order some food? I'm starving.” I said, which wasn’t really a lie, my hunger bar was 39% left.

“Um, Okay. Yea, you must have been hungry.” Luna said as I left her at the 2nd floor and went onwards to the 3rd floor

“Yo Arnold!” I screamed loudly, Imitating Lark when he brought me here first time. “You There!?

I heard a series of crashing noises and Arnold came out from the back door.

“Whut you want!” He said angrily before he noticed it was me here. ”Oh, it's yu me laddie, how can I halp ya today?”

“Yea, how much for a full set of silver armor?” I learned a little about the prices before I thought a set of silver armor might be in my price range.

“It's 2 gold coens.” He said. Thankfully, it's cheap.

“What about platinum armor?” I asked.

“That's 18 gold coens.” And he responded.

Oh, Come on! Why is everything above silver so expensive!

“Okay give me a silver armor set and can I use your anvil and furnace?” I asked him excitedly.

“Alreght jest don't break anytheng.” Arnold told me, he sounded a bit annoyed too, maybe it was because I might break something in his eyes.

If they don't know about the crafting list then they probably don't know about inventory and all its functions too. Best be careful and quick cause I have no way of explaining this. Arnold went to get the armor and I quickly went inside and made the Grappling Hook.

Finally, I got the Hook. Can't wait to try this out. Before Arnold even comes back and sees me, I quickly went back behind the counter.

“Hm?” He looked at me confused. “Didn't you want to use teh anvel?”

“Yea, I was gonna, but I changed my mind about the anvil I'm in a rush too so I need the armor quickly.”

“Alright here.” He said as he placed a basket filled with armor pieces I thanked him and gave 2 gold coins before I went away with the basket in hand. I used my inventory and instantly wore it when I was out of sight from Arnold.

Silver Helmet: 3 defence

Silver breastplate: 4 defence

Silver pants: 3 defence

Set bonus: +3 defence.

I armor looked neat decorated with gold linings and a large Ruby fitted in the very middle of the breastplate. The helmet completely covered my face too but I equipped my goggles in the social slot and now I have a much wider view with no drop in defence.

I went back to Luna who was surprised to see me in armor.

“Reid?” She asked if it was me, blushing a bit at the same time.

“Hello” I said as I waved my hands at her.

“Um.” Luna was looking bashful as she continued talking. “You look good in that armor... just like a prince.” She was starting to blush a lot.

Hm? Why is she-? Oh yea! Its because she's a princess, isn’t she?

There was some type of chicken on the table so I ate it quickly went to have an audition with Lenard in the basement.
