When I finally got done with work, I went back to my room to find Trinity sleeping soundly in a pile of pillows. Well it's about damn time she rested. I wonder what happened to make her sleep finally?

"Shhh," I heard Mom say, "She's sleeping. I got her to go to sleep by making a pile of pillows. Why didn't I think of this before? It's much better than you having to use your Alpha Command on her. Just try not to disturb her okay? Because you know once she wakes up it's going to be harder to get her to go back to sleep or just chill out in general."

I nodded. "I'll make sure not to disturb her. This is most definitely a good idea."

After Mom left, I took a shower and changed into some clean clothes. I got underneath the covers and pulled Trinity close to me without waking her up.

Our mate is so adorable sleeping! Like you said, it's about time she rested. She needs to rest as much as possible! Jacob thought.

Mhm, it's a good thing I cut off the mindlink for her at the moment. She needs to sleep and I'm going to make sure of it. While I'm at it I think I'll go ahead and take a nap before dinner. I thought.

That's exactly what I did. I took a nap and then went downstairs for dinner.

When I went downstairs for dinner, I sat at the dining room table with everyone else waiting for the food to be served. I could tell everyone seemed concerned about something based on the looks on everyone's faces.

"Alpha, how's Luna doing?" Lauren asked.

"She's doing fine," I responded. "Mom finally got her to sleep."

Lauren looked at Mom. "Oh really? How'd you do that?"

"I just gathered a pile of pillows and had her snuggle up to them and she was out like a light within minutes of doing that," Mom responded.

Lauren had a look of surprise on her face. "Wow, it's about time she started resting!"

"No kidding," I said.

{Trinity}

I was woken up by a light tap on my shoulder. I groaned, "I'm not moving!"

Tyler laughed, "I had a feeling that you might say that. The way you're snuggled up to the pillows looks comfortable."

"Mhm," I mumbled.

"I know you're comfortable but aren't you hungry?" Tyler asked.

I didn't say anything but it was right on cue that my stomach growled. I sighed, "I guess I am hungry. I could've just let my stomach wake me up instead!"

He chuckled, "Yeah I know but I figured the sooner you eat something the sooner you can go back to bed. Besides, I already had one of the servants make you a nice healthy meal. No cake this time."

I snorted. "Oh gee I didn't realize that I was getting fat."

He frowned. "You're not fat I was just trying to-"

"I was teasing," I laughed. "But okay I'll eat something and then I'm going back to sleep."

"It's about time you started resting," Tyler said.

Tyler motioned to the tray of food sitting on the nightstand. I sat up and he handed it to me. After I ate, I handed the tray back to Tyler. I yawned and stretched and snuggled in the pile of pillows again. Soon after I did that I started to drift off to sleep.

{Andrew}

I sat down trying to catch my breath after training. I was rather worried about Trinity and Tyler and their pack at the moment because I heard that there have been attacks on their pack borders.

I had just started to recover from food poisoning. The type of poison that was used meant whoever poisoned meant to kill me. Most people don't know that I'm immune to any type of poison whatsoever. This time I felt like I had gotten the flu. After a day or two I recovered just fine. I thought for sure it was another test courtesy of my father to see if I could handle the after effects of being poisoned. But this time that wasn't the case.

Someone tried to assassinate me this time! I have a feeling of who tried to do it too. Trinity's mother was probably behind this. Why wouldn't she be? She is the most hateful and spiteful woman I've ever had to deal with. It's a shame that I couldn't use the legal system to take Trinity away from her and she had to grow up and had to deal with that woman's abuse. Now that I look back on it, I'm glad she rejected me because I was getting ready to reject her myself.

I heard that the Moon Goddess summoned me so I got dressed and headed over to her realm.

I knocked on the door to the Moon Goddess's office. I heard her shout, "Come in!"

When I walked in the Moon Goddess ran to me and gave me a big bear hug and I returned the embrace this time. "Okay, what's got you in such a good mood today?"

"Well Trinity passed her second trail," the Moon Goddess said. "And her third trial is starting now." She was getting ready to say something else when Nick stirred in the back of my mind suddenly. She paused. "Okay why is Nick restless all of the sudden?"

I shook my head. "I don't know."

I'm stirring because I feel a strong force pulling me towards Ms. Moon Goddess suddenly, Nick thought.

My eyes went wide when I heard that. I had a feeling of what Nick meant about a strong force pulling him. It was the same feeling I had when I met Trinity's mother.

The Moon Goddess blinked and her eyes were wide and I'm going to assume that meant she heard what me and Nick were talking about. "Are you kidding me! I mean not that being a second chance mate is a bad thing or anything like that… I'm just surprised."

"That makes two of us!" I said.

Go on! Touch her, if we feel the sparks that means I am correct about our mate! Nick thought.

I did as Nick suggested and grabbed the Moon Goddess's hand. Instantly I felt the same sparks that I felt when I met Trinity's mother. My jaw dropped when I felt the sparks. "How is this possible? I didn't think god's could get a mate!"

"Um, actually they can," the Moon Goddess said. "God's can get a mate but it's at the say so of the High Ruler."

I smiled. "Looks like the High Ruler made the right call. I think with all the good work you do you deserve a mate."

The Moon Goddess blushed. "I… Ah…"

Mate, mate, mate, mate, mate, mate… Nick thought in a singsong voice.

About after the thirtieth time of Nick chanting the word mate I shouted, "Alright already! I heard you the first time!"

The Moon Goddess covered her mouth to stifle a laugh. She composed herself but it looked like she was going to start laughing again at any moment. She cleared her throat, "Yes I understand Nick's excitement about finding a mate. I've seen it happen one too many times. The wolf will always alert their human if they've found their mate. The wolf gets excited and the human is confused at first then they accept it for what it is.

"And yes before you ask, I, Selene the Moon Goddess, accept you Prince Andrew Scott as my mate!"

Yay! Accept her! Accept her now! Nick thought urgently.

I smiled. "And I, Prince Andrew Scott, accept you, Selene the Moon Goddess, as my mate!"

I tried not to laugh when I felt Nick prancing around happily in the back of my mind.

"Well someone's wolf is excited!" the Moon Goddess chuckled.

"Yeah I know this about the most excited he's been ever since meeting Trinity's mother!" I said, "So when Trinity becomes the High Ruler means she'll have a on whether or not a god can have a mate?"

The Moon Goddess nodded. "Yup! And before you ask, no I can't tell you what her third trial is even though you are my mate. Sorry."

I shook my head. "Oh there's no need to apologize for doing your job. I'm pretty sure there's going to be some things related to my job that I won't be able to tell you."

"Yeah, that's true," the Moon Goddess said, "So what do we do now?"

"Hmmm, that's a good question," I said. "Why don't we get to know each other better?"

She smiled. "Sure why not?"

"Do you have any more appointments for today?" I asked.

She smiled and she was going to say something when a young woman who looked like she was about Trinity's age. "Ah, Moon Goddess, ma'am, you have three more clients to see today."

The Moon Goddess groaned. "Okay, can you do me a favor?"

The woman nodded. "Yes ma'am?"

"Can you please cancel my appointments for today and reschedule? Something important just came up," the Moon Goddess said.

The woman nodded again. "Yes ma'am."

When the woman left I turned to the Moon Goddess. "So, Moon Goddess or should I call you Selene now?"

She nodded. "Yes, you're my mate so please call me Selene."

"Okay then, Selene," I said. "Is there any place you have in mind that you want to go to?"

She shrugged. "Not really. It's wherever you want to go."

I smiled again. "Alright let's someplace private so we can get to each other."

"Works for me!" Selene said.

{No Name}

I kept High Council Member Maddie tied up in one of my guest rooms. I gave her at least three meals a day and treated her like my prisoner. When I asked for sex she gladly gave it to me because she was my mate. I still can not believe that the High Ruler had the balls to send me a mate when my death sentence was sealed by the High Council.

Whatever reasons the High Ruler had to send me a mate at this time were definitely not good ones of course. I know for a fact that the Moon Goddess is best friends with the High Ruler and knowing her she told the High Ruler about what was going on between me and her finally. That is if he didn't already know what was going on and took just now to finally act on it.

"When are you planning on rejecting your mate?" My best friend named Roman said.

We were sitting on the couch in my living room talking about recent events going on in my life lately.

"And who said I was going to reject her?" I growled.

"Well it's just that you've been more pissed off than usual lately. Not to mention you've been holding your mate captive for three days straight," Roman noted. "So it might be in your best interests to reject her and move on. Besides, don't you want to marry Trinity instead?"

"Yes I do want to marry Trinity but things are a little bit complicated at the moment," I said.

Roman raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What's going on?"

"Well Trinity is married to her mate and she's pregnant," I answered. "I was thinking about waiting until she gives birth to her children before sending the hunters out again to capture her."

Roman gave me a surprised look. "Oh really? Yeah does complicate things. Actually if I were you I'd give up trying to pursue Trinity and just go for your mate if that's the case. If you pursue Trinity after she gives birth to her children you don't have my support."

I blinked. "Wow that was fast for you to withdraw your support for my marriage with Trinity. Why the change of heart?"

"Think about it," Roman said. "Let's say that you married someone that you were deeply in love with and they got pregnant. The very moment your partner gives birth to her children she's kidnapped from her family. How would you feel?"

I thought back to how it felt to lose my ex-girlfriend and child as a punishment for a crime I committed over a decade ago. I'll admit that my heart aches for them till this very day.

I sighed, "Even if I stop pursuing Trinity I'm still going to die. So what's the point on giving up? And from what I know of Trinity's Mom is already starting a war with her pack. If they lose the war, Trinity will be all mine!"

Roman shrugged but before he could say anything I had made up my mind. "I'm going to reject my mate. Keeping her here is probably giving her hope that I might change my mind and accept her."

He nodded. I went to the room that I was keeping Maddie in and untied her after I dragged her out into the living room in front of my servants and Roman.

"I think it's about time I reject you Maddie!" I snarled.

"No please-" Maddie started.

"Just as I thought, keeping you here was giving you hope that I might accept you," I said. "Now stand up!"

"But-"

"I said, stand up!" I roared.

Maddie did as she was told.

"I, No Name, reject High Council Member Maddie as a mate!" I declared. I turned to Maddie and glared at her. "Your turn."

Maddie sighed, "Fine. I, High Council Member Maddie, reject No Name as a mate!"

I nodded. "Good, now get out of my sight!"

Maddie rapidly shook her head. I snarled at her and she left as fast as she could.

I let out a sigh of relief after she left, "You know something that was a good idea rejecting my mate. So after the IronClad Coven wins the war-"

"How do you know they're going to win?" Roman asked, "They could lose, unless you had a vision about the future?"

I rolled my eyes. "Never mind but the IronClad Coven is a pretty strong coven so there's a good chance they'll win."

Roman rolled his eyes at me. "Alrighty then, all I gotta say is don't count your chickens before they hatch!"

"Yeah, yeah whatever!" I said.

I'm betting on the IronClad Coven winning this war. Once the war is won by them, Trinity will be mine!
