{Mary}

I stared at Danger in the mirror and back to Sharry who for reason didn't run away screaming in terror or suggest that I get therapy, she was smiling like she was proud about seeing that stupid wolf in the mirror staring back at her.

"Okay, why are you smiling at me like that?" I questioned.

"Because your wolf has found a way to talk to you outside of your head and it's amazing!" Sharry chirped.

"Uh no, it's not amazing, it's a figment of my imagination and my magic is enhancing it!" I shrieked.

"Chill out Mary," said Sharry, "whether you like it or not," she pointed at the mirror, "that wolf is a part of you, she is your wolf! And another thing, I don't know if you'll believe me you aren't a full blooded witch. But thanks to the magic that your mother put into your chastity belt you are in denial and you will always be until your spouse takes the belt off."

I looked down and felt the chastity belt that was tied around my waist. The chastity belt was just a regular belt with magic weaved into it as a defense for me against anyone who wanted my virginity that wasn't my spouse. The chastity belt wasn't fashioned like a medieval one so it didn't interfere with any bodily functions.

Sharry sighed, "Believe me I'd love to use my magic to break the spells but I can't. That's just the way the chastity belt works."

"Honestly I think she should get together with her mate, what was his name? Tyler?" Danger said. "Or I should call him Alpha Tyler because I can sense I could sense he was an Alpha the moment I saw him!"

Sharry chuckled, "I hate to break it to you but I doubt Mary's going to do that because she doesn't want a boyfriend right now."

"Humph!" I said, "You're siding with my 'wolf' now?"

"Yup!" Sharry said, "By the way she is absolutely adorable!"

Danger stood up on all fours and puffed out her chest. Although I had to admit Sharry was right about that. Danger's fur was a mixture of brown and black fur. It looked like she had mostly black fur with brown highlights to me. The brown highlights looked a lot like tiger stripes going down her back. She had brown patches of fur on her paws and ears. She also had one strip of gold colored fur going across her forehead that made it look like she was wearing a crown or some type of tiara.

She had a strange aurora coming from her that commanded everyone's attention as soon as she walked in the room.

"You know something Mary? My aurora is attached to yours and this commanding presence I have also comes from you which is why you did a great job when you were a cop. You almost seemed right at home with it," Danger said.

I sighed, "You know why I quit Danger, I just couldn't take the senseless murders anymore. I mean sure I loved running into danger. I practically ran into gunfire during an active shooting for crying out loud! At that time I didn't care if I died and if it meant stopping the bad guys from harming anymore people that was good enough for me. But there's so many times you can do that before it weighs on you mentally and then there's that murder suicide assignment I was sent to investigate…"

Sharry put up a hand to silence me. "It's okay Mary, there's no need to relive that memory. I know what almost happened to your sister." She looked up at the clock and saw it was getting late and sighed, "Well looks like I need to go, you seem to be calmed down now and if something is bothering you you know who you can turn to." She turned to the mirror and said, "Danger, take care of Mary for me. See ya!"

With that, she gathered up her spell book and her Ouija Board, she snapped her fingers and disappeared.

As soon as Sharry left, I stood there blinking at the mirror and in shock. Danger laughed, "Wow you should see the look on your face right now! It's hilarious! But your friend Sharry is right."

"Right about what?" I asked.

"You aren't a full blooded witch like you think you are," said Danger in a matter of fact way. "But you won't believe it because of the magic that's been woven into your chastity belt. And whether you believe it or not I am your wolf and you're a hybrid."

The words 'you aren't a full blooded witch' started to play over and over again in my head. I had suspicion of what Danger and Sharry were talking about. But there was no way that I was going to accept that, nope not happening.

Then Danger surprised me by saying, "You know what? I'm done talking for the day, see ya and you should get some sleep."

I just stared at the mirror with my jaw dropped as Danger's reflection disappeared.

{Alpha Tyler}

I smiled when I saw Lauren working on her 'story' that she was going to send to Mary to edit. At first I felt bad because I knew her story was going to give Mary a headache trying to edit it.

Lauren looked up at me. "What are you smiling about? Mary's not even here yet!" Her lips turned up into a smile and she teased, "Oh I get it! You're already daydreaming about sleeping outside her bedroom door. You might want to work on not doing that anymore because she's a grown woman and she can take care of herself. I mean didn't she used to work as a cop?"

I nodded. Just that fact alone made me proud of her but I still couldn't help but want to protect her in every way possible. But I guess the stalker thing is taking the urge to protect Mary a little bit too far. Hey at least I don't break into her house and watch her sleep at night. But then Alpha's very protective and sometimes possessive of their mates.

I'm content just sleeping outside her house in my wolf form just waiting in the shadows for the day I can become completely part of her life. I want her to accept me as her other half.

"Yeah I know I watched her as she ran head first into danger during an active shooting!" I said, "It was like she didn't care if she died, she just wanted to stop the bad guys in their tracks!"

"I don't think that's the only time she's been brave like that and I have my suspicions that she's more powerful than we think," Theo said.

I turned around and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

"I've been doing some research on our future Luna's bloodline and have you ever heard of something called a Knighted Wolf?" Theo asked.

I blinked. "A Knighted Wolf?"

"Based on your answer, that would be no," said Theo. He took out of his backpack a couple of books that looked like history books and a couple of newspaper articles. He walked over and placed them on the kitchen table. "While you were out stalking your mate and mustering up the courage to say hi to her I decided to do some research. And I found out something interesting about Mary's bloodline at least on her father's side."

"Huh?" I said.

Theo nodded. "Mhm, from what I was able to gather her father was from the Crescent Moon pack. Their territory is located near Italy and of course we don't know the exact location for security purposes. Given how much power that pack has there's a chance that further down the line they would have a descendant who has enough magic to wield a sword during battle while in their wolf form. And that type of magic takes A LOT of power to do! Although it was thought that the leader of the pack's descendants would be the one to become a Knighted Wolf."

"But Mary isn't the daughter of an Alpha though!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah I know," Theo responded. He unfolded a newspaper article and I looked at it. "Just take a look at this article from over fifteen years ago and this happened right before Mary became of age."

I looked at the article and the headline said: YOUNG CHILD SAVES 27 STUDENTS, 2 TEACHERS AND THE BUS DRIVER FROM A BURNING SCHOOL BUS!

I read the article and it talked about a fourteen year old child by the name of Mary Ava Dawn who rescued everyone when their school bus somehow caught on fire while they were traveling home from a field trip to the zoo. The article didn't really say exactly how Mary rescued everyone but it did say that she rescued everyone moments before the bus exploded into an inferno.

The article then went on to say that Mary was the only one that had injuries from the incident and everyone else was fine. She won a medal from the mayor for her bravery that day.

After I read the article my eyes went wide at what Theo was implying. "Theo, are you saying that Mary might be a Knighted Wolf?"

He nodded. "Yup! That's exactly what I'm saying! I mean seriously who manages to save that many people from a burning school bus and on top of that being the only one with any injuries? That's next to impossible! Not to mention Mary's half witch so she has power from that bloodline too."

At that moment I started to feel my knees get weak and I sat down on the nearest chair in the kitchen.

"Wow Tyler!" Lauren said, "You look like you've seen a ghost!"

"Yeah I know," I said. I took a deep breath and let it out. "Listen when Mary gets here don't say anything about this to her. She still doesn't accept that she's a hybrid at the moment so mentioning anything like this is bound to freak her out. Yeah don't say anything to her about this and that's an order this information stays between us got it?"

Lauren and Theo nodded.

I composed myself, "Good…"

I looked up at the clock and smiled. "Well I think today would be a good day for you and me to train Theo. We haven't trained together in a while and I have a feeling you've been slacking lately since I've been off following Mary around."

Lauren covered her mouth to stifle a laugh.

"Fine I'll train with you, but I'm not going to like it!" Theo said.

"You never like it when we train together!" I laughed.

"Because you're too rough on me!" Theo whined.

"Ah, dude you're my Beta for crying out loud! I have to do that and you sound like a wuss right now!" I said.

Theo crossed his arms and pouted like he was a five year old, "I am not a wuss!"

"Oh yeah?" I said.

"Yeah!" Theo declared.

"Well then," I said, "prove it!"

"You're on!" Theo growled.

I laughed when we headed to the training area because teasing Theo about him being a wuss is the only way to get him to do any training whatsoever. Honestly I'm surprised because of how lazy he can be that he hasn't gained any weight.

{Mary}

It's been a week since I had that temper tantrum of mine and I went to that ceremony because one of the younger witches in the coven just became of age. I've been feeling even more on edge with every passing day ever since I heard those words 'you're not a full blooded witch.' Those words kept replaying in my head over and over again like a broken record. Nothing Danger said helped matters.

I wrote everything that I was feeling down in a journal and not even that helped. That surprised me because normally when I write something down in my journal I forget about it. This time when I wrote things down I didn't forget about it. I couldn't forget how I was feeling because for some reason I started having nightmares about the day I rescued people from a burning school bus. I have no idea why those words trigger that memory.

I remember it so clearly now like it was yesterday when it happened. I remember being the first one to smell the fire when it started. As soon as I smelled that I shouted at the bus driver, "Bus driver we need to pull over now!"

The bus driver looked at me like I was crazy. "Why?" Then he sniffed the air and his eyes went wide. When his eyes went wide he slammed on the breaks and put the emergency lights on. "Okay kids this isn't a drill! Exit the bus in an orderly manner!"

At that moment everyone except me and the bus driver started to freak out. That was when I casted my first spell. Or at least I thought that's what it was. I just remember the magic coming out of me felt weird, and I mean really weird.

I saw a bright flash of light and I thought that maybe I was entering into the afterlife and I was dead. But when I turned around there was actually a door in front of me and for some reason I knew exactly what to do with it. I grabbed everyone that was on the bus with my magic, opened the door and tossed them on the other side. After I did that, I stepped through the door and moments after that the bus exploded into an inferno.

Thankfully the door led to the outside of the bus and everyone that I had pushed through the door landed onto the street away from the bus safely. After that an ambulance was called along with the police and fire department and I was the only one rushed off to the hospital.

When I told my mother about what happened when I used my magic she freaked out. She took me to the Voodoo Doctor who is the doctor that takes care of the witches in the coven. The Voodoo Doctor said that I was fine and was close to becoming of age. I have a feeling that something else happened that day but I don't know what. Every time I try to figure out what happened it's almost like something blocks my memory of it.

Tonight was no different but it wasn't really nighttime because when I woke up from having that memory it was 8am in the morning when I looked at my alarm clock. I groaned and sat up.

For some reason I felt sore all over like I had a cold or something like that. What the hell? Why do I feel like I've been hit by a bus?

Because you went into heat again this month. Danger thought.

You mean it's because I started my cycle yesterday? I thought.

Okay I would insist that it's something else but you probably won't believe me anyway. You never do when I tell you shit. Danger thought.

I rolled my eyes and thought, Yeah, yeah sure I think I'll just take the day off today then.

I got out of bed and realized that I was in a lot of pain. I staggered over to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water and some medicine to help with the pain. As soon as I took the medicine I staggered back to bed and when my head hit the pillow I fell asleep.

{Alpha Tyler}

As I sat outside of Mary's house in my wolf form, my wolf Jacob was restless because of what was happening to Mary.

Our mate is in pain! We need to go help her! Jacob whined.

No, we can't! You know the rules: we have to wait until she accepts us, not to mention accepts who she is! I thought.

I know, it's still terrifying to watch from the sidelines when this is happening. Jacob thought.

Yeah don't worry sooner or later, she'll accept us. I mean her wolf already accepts and Mary will in due time right now all we can do is wait… I thought.
