Chapter 19: Trinity is a Princess?!

Chapter 19: Trinity is a Princess?!

{Trinity}

"I can't believe my Dad is a Prince!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah I can't believe it either! Am I dreaming?" Tyler said with a daydream look on his face. I reached over and slapped him. "Ow! What was that for?"

I laughed, "You asked if you were dreaming, so I figured I could help you with that."

Tyler and I were sitting on the bed in the guest room where we were staying while staying at the castle in the Celestial Kingdom.

Tyler smirked. "So it looks like we should add another title to your title Luna."

My eyes went wide when I realized what he was talking about and I shook my head rapidly. "Nope! I'm good with just the title of Luna thank you very much!"

He snorted. "Oh don't be so modest, I like to give credit where credit is due! And that means I'm a Prince by default because of being married to you. Hmm Prince Alpha! Now that's an interesting title but I won't add it since you don't like the idea of adding Princess to your title of Luna."

I nodded. "Yeah it hasn't sunk in my brain yet that I'm a Princess. It's gonna take some time to get used to the idea. I mean, I finally got used to the fact that I'm hybrid and now this! At least I finally found out the truth about why my Dad couldn't be there for me growing up."

Tyler sighed, "Yeah I know and now we have that family outing to go to today. That's going to be interesting."

"No kidding!" I said. I looked over at the clock and we didn't have much time left before we had to meet my Dad and my Grandparents at the lobby in the castle. "Well it looks like we should get ready to go."

Tyler nodded and we got dressed and went downstairs. I can't speak for Tyler but I was nervous about what was going to happen today.

I stood at the lobby area with parents dressed in my Royal Attire waiting for my daughter and her husband to come downstairs. I was super excited to announce my daughter as part of the Royal Family in the Celestial Kingdom. I bet her mother's going to be in for a surprise when she hears about that! If she even thinks about crawling back to me after finding out I'm a Prince then she can forget it because I'm not taking her back, over my dead body!

My wolf, whose name is Nick, was very excited. He was sitting down on his haunches in the back of my mind wagging his tail as if he had killed a huge buck while out hunting out in the woods. Nick, chill out you're making me nervous!

I can't help it! I mean seriously it's not every day when you get to introduce a new member of the Royal Family! I can't believe how much she's grown and how powerful she is and she's gotten stronger now she knows she's a Princess! Nick thought.

No kidding! I bet our ex-mate is going to be so jealous! I'm not taking that woman back ever! Over our dead body! I thought.

I couldn't agree more! Nick thought.

I turned my attention to the stairs when I heard the trumpets sound signaling my daughter and her husband were ready. "Announcing her Royal Highness Princess Trinity Amoria the Luna of the Steel Armor Pack and his Royal Highness Prince Alpha Tyler Amoria of the Steel Armor Pack!"

Trinity and Tyler blew my breath away as they walked down the stairs as if they belonged in the Royal Family. The powerful aura that was coming from Trinity it was as if she commanded attention from everyone and even my wolf was resisting the urge to bow to her.

Wow, our daughter is so powerful! And so is her mate! I mean with her power she could lead a whole entire country! Nick thought proudly.

Yeah I know I hope I don't let it slip that she and Tyler are going to be rulers of a whole entire realm according to the High Council because right now we have a lot of things to worry about besides that. I thought.

I know, the hunters and yes I do believe we're still going to have to worry about that she wolf Sasha going after her. I just have a gut feeling about that. Not to mention we'll have to help her control her powers. Nick thought.

I heard my Mom clear her throat just to get my attention. "Ahem, would you stop mindlinking your wolf and pay attention to your daughter? I swear with that powerful aurora coming from her, I could retire and hand her the throne instead!"

I rolled my eyes. "Ha, ha very funny!"

She sighed, "I mean she's meant to rule-"

Dad cleared his throat and gave us a stern look. "I don't think we should be talking about that right now. We don't want to freak my Granddaughter out!"

I ignored Dad and turned my attention back to Trinity and Tyler. I took Trinity's hand and Tyler didn't seem to like that and I'm going to assume that he still might have a grudge against me for almost killing her when we first met. I motioned for Tyler to grab Trinity's hand and he seemed fine after that.

"Ready to face the Kingdom?" I whispered into Trinity's ear.

She smiled and nodded. I could sense that she was nervous based on the fact that she was shaking a little. I looked over at Tyler and he seemed to sense the same thing I did. I could tell because of the way he was holding Trinity's hand trying to calm her down.

One of the perks of having a mate is being able to sense the emotions coming from your mate and it helps you help your mate to sort them out. Trinity has a strong mate by her side, the perfect compliment for her and she is the perfect compliment for him. Tyler was able to calm Trinity down through the mate bond. That was a good thing because as soon as we stepped outside the castle, the reporters were on us like moths to a flame!

They asked us tons of questions mostly about who Trinity was and who her mate was and of course we told them that we have no comments until further notice.

Little did I know that Mom's idea of a family outing today was shutting down an entire shopping mall! Not to mention it was the biggest mall in the Celestial Kingdom!

Trinity's eyes went wide and Tyler had the same shocked expression on his face when they saw where we were. Trinity looked at Mom. "Um, your highness-"

"No Trinity, call me Grandma!" Mom cut her off, "I am your father's mother after all!"

Trinity paused and nodded slowly. "Okay… Grandma, what are we doing here?"

"Well what do you think we're doing here darling?" Mom said with excitement and a little too much excitement for my taste. "We're going shopping!"

Trinity groaned, "We're shopping, seriously? I hate shopping!"

While Mom gasped Dad and I couldn't stop laughing. Trinity looked at us and frowned. "What? I've only gone shopping four times in my whole entire lifetime and I only got what I needed because I had no idea when I would run away from home again! And every time I went shopping it was boring!"

Dad and I stopped laughing at that statement and gasped. I looked down because I knew exactly why she ran away from home. I wanted to take her back to the Celestial Kingdom with me when I saw the hunters were after her a couple of times but the High Council specifically told me not to.

Dad sighed, "Why did you run away from home?"

"Because I figured out what the Coven was really teaching the people involved in it and I disagreed with it so I ran from home and then the hunters were sent after me," Trinity explained.

There was an awkward silence between us until Mom perked up. "Okay enough about that. I've had enough negativity for one day, let's shop till you drop!"

Trinity groaned again and Mom grabbed her hand and dragged her to the first store which was a dress shop. I rolled my eyes because I knew what she was up to. She was going to figure out what Trinity's measurements were so she could get her Royal Attire ready to go for when she visits the Celestial Kingdom.

Knowing Mom she's also going to want to buy Trinity a whole new wardrobe. So Mom dragged Trinity off to the first store in the mall. The first store was a dress shop and I had a feeling Trinity wasn't going to like this and I was right.

As soon as Trinity saw where Mom was taking her she dug in her heels. "No thanks! I don't need a dress!"

Mom looked at Trinity. "Actually dear yes you do need a dress. Every woman in the Royal Family wears dresses especially when they're living in the Celestial Kingdom. So we're getting your measurements for your Royal Attire today. And yes I know you'll have to go back to your pack soon so I'll have your clothes here or you can take them with you if you want? That will be up to you. And besides, I've had to wait twenty-five years to get clothes for my grandchild!"

I couldn't help but laugh at my Mom's excitement about getting Trinity a new dress. Tyler leaned over to me and said, "Well at least I don't have to-"

"Oh no you don't!" Dad said.

Tyler paused. "Huh?"

"You need to be measured for a suit at least and get some new clothes," Dad said. He grabbed Tyler's hand and dragged him off to a store that was called: Suits & More.

I couldn't stop laughing because Tyler dug in his heels in the same manner that Trinity did.

It looks like this day is going to be very amusing! Nick thought.

You can say that again! I thought. As I followed Tyler and Dad into the store I knew this day was going to be very entertaining.

"No," I said as I sat down on a nearby chair after standing in place for a full hour just to be measured.

Grandma had picked out at least a couple hundred different dresses and regular clothes for me to wear while I was staying in the Celestial Kingdom. She looked like she was getting to go through another rack of clothing in the store when I stopped her. She turned around and frowned. "No, what?"

"I think I have enough clothes to last me a lifetime for when I stay at the Celestial Kingdom," I said. "And to be honest with you, I'm bored."

Grandma snorted. "Of course you're bored! I get it, shopping is boring, but I've waited twenty-five years to do this and now I can finally buy some clothes for my grandchild! We'll go to a couple more stores after this and then we'll take a break for lunch and then after lunch we can do something fun. Does that sound good to you?"

I nodded. "Sounds good to me."

I sat on a nearby chair watching Tyler get measured for his suit and Royal Attire. I was rather amused because even though Tyler didn't complain about getting measured for his suits and other things he seemed rather annoyed by it. I don't blame him because getting measured for something is boring and tedious.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

Nick chuckled, Tyler looks bored! I don't blame him! This is kind of boring, remember the first time you got measured for something?

I was getting ready to reply when Dad cleared his throat, "You seem to have a habit of mind linking your wolf at the wrong times!"

"What?" I said defensively, "Nick's just really excited that's all."

"Yeah and Jacob's still mad at you for putting Trinity in the hospital when we first met," Tyler said with an annoyed tone of voice. "He wants payback on you for that."

Dad snorted. "Yeah I heard about that, your Grandma wasn't too happy about it either," He turned to me and said with sarcasm, "Good job in almost killing your daughter Prince Dumbass!"

"I wasn't going to kill her, I was just testing her to see what she would do if Tyler was in danger," I said. "And she did exactly what I thought she would do! She took the sword that was meant for Tyler."

Tyler sent me a death glare at that statement and if I didn't know any better I'd say he was seeing red with that look. Not to mention if looks could kill I'd be dead on the spot.

"But that spell Trinity used before I aimed my sword at Tyler actually turned my own weapon on me at first! That was pretty badass," I said.

Tyler went from glaring at me to smiling. "Oh yeah, she's been working on that spell for the past couple of weeks now with her trainer! It's called: Weapon Return. She doesn't want to teach it to anyone yet."

"Well of course she's not going to teach you that spell! It's an unspoken rule for witches not to reveal their tricks to anyone and that includes their significant other so that they can have the upper hand in battle," I said.

Dad nodded. "Makes sense to me."

"Man, I wish I had Trinity's power," Tyler chirped.

"Yeah but having a lot of power isn't all it's cracked up to be, trust me I know," I said. "From what I can sense about Trinity's powers is they're out of control and I think it's because the being that is her Gate Wielder Being has yet to reveal herself. From what I can sense there are a total of seventy-five beings and that includes Trinity sharing Trinity's body at the moment."

Dad gasped, "Seventy-five people and all of them sharing one body? How do you know that?"

"Part of being a Knighted Wolf is being able to sense how beings are inside a body at one time," I said. "I have a feeling that seventy-one of those beings are spirits from the Guardian Ritual that binds a witch to their Ouija Boards. Dad you're a Gate Wielder, did your Gate Wielder Being make themselves known to you yet?"

Dad nodded. "Oh yeah he did, and his name is Frank. And yes I can mindlink to him just like you can mindlink to your wolf."

"I see," I said.

Tyler's eyes went wide. "Wait, you know about that ritual that binds a witch to their Ouija Boards?"

I nodded. "Yeah, Trinity's mom is a witch so of course I would know about that. The original plan was to take custody of Trinity before she became of age for that but when her mother banished me from ever setting foot in Coven again, that complicated things…

"As I was saying from what I can tell seventy-one of the beings residing inside of Trinity's body are spirits from that ritual. The other four beings belong inside Trinity's body, they are Trinity's human soul, her wolf, her shadow and her gate wielder being."

"Wait, what about her witch powers?" Tyler asked, "Doesn't she have a being for those?"

"She does, that would be her shadow," I responded. "A shadow is the source of a witch's powers."

"Interesting," Tyler said.

"Yup, very interesting indeed!" Dad said.

"Grandma!" I whined, "I'm going to die of boredom. How many more stores do we have left until lunch time? I'm hungry!"

Grandma snorted. "Okay, we're going to one more store and then we'll meet up with the boys for lunch. Gee, you're just like your Father! You can't seem to sit still for a long period of time. When he was a teenager I had trouble getting him to sit still for a family photo!"

I tilted my head. "Really? I had that same issue on Picture Day at school! The Photographer's would get annoyed at first but somehow they managed to do it by bribing me and I stayed put. Of course I got better at it in High School and didn't need any bribes just to sit still I just wanted to get the pictures taken over with."

"Oh yeah I would have to bribe your Father just to get him to sit still for a picture," Grandma chuckled.

"I see," I said. I perked up. "Hey, after this whole family outing thing is over, is there a forest that I can go take a run in? I'm pretty sure Danger will be itching to take a run somewhere soon. And before you ask, Danger is the name of my wolf."

"Huh, well that's an interesting name for a wolf!" Grandma said.

I chuckled, "I get that reaction every time I say her name!"

Grandma shrugged, "Makes sense but yeah we can go for a run, that is if you don't die of boredom before then."

I snorted. "Ha, ha very funny Grandma!"

Grandma didn't say anything else, she just went back to browsing through the rack of clothing in front of her.

After going to a couple of stores to get what was needed for Tyler's Royal Attire and regular clothing for when he would be staying at the Celestial Kingdom we headed over to the café to meet up with Trinity and my mother. I laughed when I saw Trinity sitting next to Mom looking like she was going to die boredom as she ate her lunch. I'm going to say that she gets it from me because she looks like she's having a hard time sitting still and all she's doing is eating.

"Why do you look like you're getting ready to die of boredom?" Tyler asked as he took his seat next to Trinity. "It's a wonder how you were able to do your editing job."

"I've always had a hard time sitting still and it was a wonder to me how I was able to get through class at all in school!" Trinity said. "Especially on school picture day! I think I'm going to die of boredom because shopping is boring!"

Tyler, Dad and I snickered at that statement. Mom shot us a death glare and we stopped laughing.

"Shopping isn't boring but okay then I guess I'll just have to go shopping with my girlfriends next time," Mom grumbled.

Trinity looked down with a hurt look. "I'm sorry…"

Mom looked over and frowned. "It's okay darling, there's nothing to be sorry about. I was just excited to get clothes for my granddaughter only to find out that she's just like her father when it comes down to that type of stuff. You have nothing to be sorry for okay?"

Trinity looked up at Mom and nodded. "Okay then."

Dad perked up. "Hey I have an idea! There is something fun that we can do at this mall. We might as well make use of it because half of the stores are shut down because of our visit today."

Tyler tilted his head. "What is it?"

"I'll show you once we're done eating," Dad said.

***

"Whoa! Cool!" Trinity said as she looked at the rock climbing wall in awe. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the fact that Dad thought this was a good idea for fun. Rock climbing at a place like this is way too easy for a full fledged Celestial.

The place that we were standing in was a place that was made exclusively for rock climbing. There were rock walls with foot holds to climb up on on every corner of the area. The area where we were at in the mall for this was at least three stories tall which is about how many floors the mall had.

I gave Dad a look of disbelief. "Don't you think this will be a little bit too easy for them?"

"Maybe or maybe not," Dad shrugged. "I say we make a bet."

"A bet? For what?" I asked.

"How about we have a race and if I win your mother and I get to spend one whole week with Trinity and Tyler without you," Dad said.

My jaw dropped because Dad knows how long I've waited to spend time with my daughter and now he wants to keep me away from her for a full week as part of a bet? Seriously! I composed myself, "Alright and if I win I get to spend time with my daughter alone and you have to start training Tyler on how to strengthen his powers for one week!"

Dad opened his mouth and shut it. I smirked because I knew he would take the bet and do whatever he could to win it. He's always done this with me in the past and he has no trouble gloating about it if he wins. I held my hand out and Dad shook it.

"What are you guys doing? Are we going to go rock climbing or are you two just going to stand around and shoot death glares at each other for the rest of the day?" Trinity asked.

Dad and I stopped glaring at each other and we both smiled at Trinity.

Mom groaned and then looked at me, "Let me guess, you and your father made a bet on something didn't you?"

"Yup!" Dad said and he shot another death glare at me. "And I'm going to win just like I do 70% of the time! Trust me son, you have no chance of winning!"

"Oh yeah!" I snapped, "Well we'll just see about that!"

Dad rolled his eyes. "Uh-huh sure, keep talking!"

Without another word Dad and I got our gear and attached it to the rock climbing wall ready to start the race.

***

"You're. Going… Down!" I said while narrowing my eyes.

Dad smirked. "Yeah I don't think so."

Mom stood in between us. "Alright, to make this rock climbing race fair you guys can't use your magic, just your strength and skills at rock climbing. Are we clear?"

"Crystal!" Dad and I said.

Mom nodded. "Good ready… Set… Go!"

Without hesitation Dad and I scrambled to get to the first foothold on the wall. Before we could make it halfway up to the top of the wall I felt a slight breeze brush past us. I looked over at Dad and growled, "Are you using your powers? Because you're not supposed to use your powers!"

"I'm well aware of that!" Dad snapped. "That wasn't me, it was Trinity!"

I heard Tyler chuckled as he was climbing the wall behind me. "Yup Trinity's a fast climber! Trust me, I've tried winning a race against her before and lost every single time!"

I smiled and I thought to use this opportunity to get the upper hand and I did. I climbed up the rest of the wall as fast as I could and won the race.

I beamed when I saw Trinity sitting at the top of the wall looking bored out of her mind again. She looked at me. "What took you so long?"

"Uh, well I'm not as fast a climber as you are!" I answered.

She scoffed and shook her head. "Tsk, tsk, excuses, excuses!"

I burst into laughter at my daughter berating me about not being a fast rock climber. Trinity joined in on my laughter once she figured out what I was laughing about.

My Dad and Tyler came to meet us at the top of the wall and to my surprise Mom had followed them! "Mom, I thought you didn't like this type of thing!"

"Usually I don't," Mom said. "But this is a perfect family bonding moment. Do you really think I'm going to miss out on it?"

I laughed and looked over at Dad. "Guess what you old fart? I win!" I stuck my tongue out at him and Mom laughed at it.

"So what was the bet?" Mom asked.

"If Dad won then you two would spend time with Trinity and Tyler alone for one week," I said. "And if I won I would get to do father daughter bonding time with Trinity for a week and Dad would have to get started on Tyler's strength training for the week."

"That makes sense that you would want to spend time with your daughter," Tyler said. "I mean this is the first time you get to do that in twenty-five years."

I nodded. Then I thought what was going to happen as soon as we left the mall and groaned.

Trinity frowned. "What's wrong?"

"I know as soon as we leave the mall the news reporters will be all over us like moths to a flame!" I said, "We're going to have to have a press conference sooner or later."

"That's okay because then it would draw out the hunters because they're after me. So when they see where I'm at I have a feeling that they'll jump at the first chance to get me," Trinity said.

"Alright then, if you say so," I shrugged.

***

The next day after we had the family outing I decided to finally have that press conference just to get it over with. Since the press conference was going to be talking about my daughter and her husband, Dad decided that I should be the one to take the lead on it.

Normally I don't get nervous for a press conference but since this one was about my daughter I was nervous. I practiced my speech for two hours the night before and I was still nervous!

Before I went to the podium for the press conference, I took a deep breath and let it out. I stepped on the stage and started my speech. "I know you guys must have a lot of questions in regards to the young lady and young man you saw with us the other day. Please let me explain and save the questions for the end of the speech."

I cleared my throat, "The young lady is my daughter. Her name is Trinity and she is the Luna of the Steel Armor Pack and the young man is her husband and my son in law and his name Tyler. He is the Alpha of the Steel Armor Pack. And yes before you ask they will be coronated into the Royal Family but only when it's the right time for it. That is all."

After I finished my speech the reporters asked a whole bunch of questions like why did I wait so long to introduce my daughter?

When will they be crowned into the Royal Family?

They asked questions like that. I did my best to answer the questions without revealing too much information. Right now I just gave the reporters the information that they needed to hear and nothing more.

Once I got done with the press conference I went to my dressing room and crashed on the couch and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness that's over with!"

"No kidding!" I heard someone say and I practically jumped off the couch and my senses were in high alert mode. I let out another sigh of relief when I saw Trinity standing in the doorway with a goofy smile on her face.

I smiled when I saw her. "Yeah, I'm just glad it's over now comes the hard part. Dealing with people sticking their noses in places where they don't belong. Which means they might try and talk to members of your pack."

"Yeah I figured that would happen too, Tyler's already sent word to Theo to not let any reporters on pack grounds and if there are any drones destroy them on sight. If a reporter somehow manages to make it past border patrol, capture them and take them to dungeons," Trinity said.

The way she said that statement with such authority in her voice amazed me. When I look at her I see that she looks more like me than her mother. She does have her mother's gray eyes but that's just about all she has of her mother as far as looks go. I wonder if that's why her mother treated her so badly growing up?

I nodded. "Alright then, it sounds like you got it covered. I just wonder what your pack's reaction will be when they hear the news?"

Trinity shrugged. "Have no idea but it will be interesting to see their reactions."

"You can say that again," I said. I smiled and couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day because I couldn't wait to get started on Trinity's training. The sooner she gets control of her powers the better.
