68. The Dao of Cloth

"At the core of it, the components are simple. Cloth and threads, woven or stitched together, to form clothing, shaped to fit." The master tailor repeated. "The quality of components change, and the techniques may differ, but at the heart of it, is still cloth, thread, and fitting to the body."

Huang Lu nodded. It was fascinating to watch the master's work on the beast-skin. Scissors, made from some kind of high quality, high tier metal was imbued with Qi, and cut through the beast skin like it was nothing more than a thin sheet of paper.

There was something orgasmic about it, as lewd as it sounded, the sound made when the cloth was shaped with such mastery. The tearing of the skin, and the movement of the knives across the beast's corpse to clean it. Processing the skin was really an art of its own, in some places, probably a profession of its own.

"Specialisation is great in theory, but all that requires a consistency supply of materials. With cultivation-grade materials like this." The tailor tapped the skin, "We do it ourselves, for control over the entire process. Each material must be processed and formed differently, even if the principles remain largely the same."

The master cut the skin slowly, but there was a strength in it. He couldn't sense the depth of the tailor's cultivation, and wondered whether the world have many other such masters.

It really took days. Processing the skin itself took two days, and then they spent another two days to stitching them together. The tailor's assistants collected the skin, hair and fur of the catbeast and turned them into threads, and then used these threads to bind the processed skin together. At the end of the fourth day, it finally looked like a set of pants.

No wonder they said come back after five days. "Try it on."

It was like a pair of dark brown leather trousers. It was a little stretchy, and he could tell the material was really tough and durable. He just wasn't sure whether it was good enough.

"Hmmm..." The tailor watched as he moved. "I'm afraid this may still be insufficient."

"Really?"

"Try activating your Qi through your legs."

Huang Lu did as commanded, and he felt his thighs and legs swell with Qi. The pants stretched, as his Qi crackled around.

"Oooooooooh." The master tailor looked impressed. "It's definitely not sufficient. You need something stronger for sure. These leather are from the third and fourth realm, and they definitely cannot withstand the entirety of your fifth realm strength."

Huang Lu sighed. How would he get something from the fifth realm anyway, unless he hunted some 5th realm beast? Could he send Uncle Gui to hunt a 6th realm beast so that the pants could be useful for a longer period?

"But it should be good for light to moderate use of your power. Just use the pants sparingly."

"Are you asking me to fight nude?"

The tailor frowned. "I'm afraid that's the best option at this point. Your power manifests itself directly on your skin and muscles, unlike most cultivators who tend to concentrate their power in their weapons, their palms, or their external projectiles. The way you fight is just different, you are a physical brawler, while they are fairies and dancers, fighting with their swords, spears and knives."

"Can I at least... protect my modesty?"

The tailor looked, and then asked. "Strip, and then, exert your full force."

"Strip?"

"Yes. I want to see where on your body, where the Qi is strongest and weakest, so, where it is weaker, I could probably design something with weaker materials."

Huang Lu shrugged, and decided to do as commanded.

"Hmmmm..." The tailor stared at his body. "It's amazing well distributed, your Qi seems to permeate every part of your body at roughly the same density. You were saying that you have an issue with destroyed pants?"

"Yes. Sometimes I wake up with a stiff rod and it pierces through my pants."

The tailor stared at his nether regions, but not in a sexual way. He was observing the way Qi flowed around that part of the body. "Alright, are you able to recreate your stiff rod? Perhaps, just imagine something?"

Huang Lu nodded, still nude, and then imagined boning the two ladies. His dragon naturally rose and the tailor, nodded as he observed.

"I see. You certainly need stronger materials, or alternatively, some Qi-inscriptions and patterns on your pants to expand when your dragon is on the rise. Unfortunately, I can't do that for you, so you'll have to find a master inscriptionist."

"Ah." Huang Lu sighed as he got dressed. "Where can I find one?"

"The nearest one may be in the Fallen Dragon Sect, in the Burning Craters."

"Oh."
