"So... what happened? Huang Lu, are you there?"
Huang Lu shook his head, as if he suddenly woke up from a sudden long nap. "I just seem to have zoned out."
"Huh? You did?"
"Yeah." Huang Lu said. "I think we are done here."
The marsh was finally behind them, and they were now on their way to Godspear City. Godspear is a large city, and the Godspear Sect are widely considered a regional sect. Their Sect Master was at the peak of the 7th realm, comparable to Uncle Gui. But those are just numbers, really. All that matters was that they were both powerful people.
"That's Mount Godspear." A mountain that seemed to be perpetually covered in clouds was before them. Uncle Gui was more than happy to explain it to Huang Lu, though he didn't seem to entertain anyone else's questions. "Home of the Godspear Sect, and an old geezer who's clearly too stuck in the old ways."
Toh Gen smirked at the old geezer. "I found the Sect Master of the Godspear an exceptionally charming man."

"You've met him?" Xue Xinling asked as she twirled her hair.
"Once, when we visited the Godspear Sect." Zhan Yuanfang answered on behalf of her fellow disciple. "We both did."
"Huh. I feel kinda left out." She shuffled closer to Huang Lu. "But I guess that just makes the two of us who didn't." Qian Ziyi just quietly nodded. She didn't either, but she didn't want to speak up.
The road leading to Godspear City was scenic. There were small villages, and large swaths of farmland that planted maize.
"Should we rush to the city, or just take our time?"
Huang Lu looked around, and decided. "Let's just... take our time for a bit."
The plot only moved as fast as the main character after all, so if the main character decided to take a break, the heavens conspire to slow things down to the main character's pace. Or in Huang Lu's case, there really was no plot at all. Or is there?
The village was really quaint, stuck in a moment in time. Well, actually, the entire world was stuck in time. Millennia passed in a world with cultivation and nothing seems to ever really changes. The forces that held the world suspended in this quasi-medieval-feudal remained strong.
The village had a house that also doubled as a small restaurant for those who travelled along this road.
"We have corn, and corn-flavoured meats." The old auntie greeted them, and Huang Lu nodded. "Let's have some."
The party of six sat, and ate corn.
