They slashed the golems in order, based on the sequence of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and violet. The golems collapsed, and the next stage triggered.

At that moment, they were greeted with the sight of a monstrously massive spider. It was the size of a building!

"A spider!" Zhan Yuanfang yelped and turned away. She dashed and hid behind Huang Lu. The spider didn't give them any chance, and it's feets attacked the group. Huang Lu immediately parried, but even so, it's legs punched with such strength that he had to take a few steps back.

"Fuck that."

The eight legged spider was at the peak of the 4th realm, and matched Huang Lu's fists with its own incredible natural strength. Huang Lu took off his clothes, and lathered himself in oil.

The spider smashed with four of its legs, and Huang Lu blocked one of them. The others dodged sideways, and Qian Ziyi struggled to keep up. She was horribly, horribly outmatched against a beast two entire realms above her.

Huang Lu shouted. "What do you guys do if these sort of things happen?"

"Struggle to the death, of course!" Toh Gen said. "Normally an elder would be present, but I've not heard of Secret realms having peak 4th realm monsters that could not be avoided!"

Huang Lu frowned. It's his royal bloodline. Of course it was. The plot dictated that Huang Lu fight a monster of sufficient strength, and the heavenly spirits decreed that he hunt a bigger beast. It just so happens that the bigger beast, is a giant spider!

He immediately turned back to face the spider.

Qian Ziyi caught the pill as it landed beautifully in her palms, as if guided by the spirits itself. She stared at it, and wondered whether she should eat a pill given by a man she's travelling with. What if it's a drug to make her go nuts? After all, most parents would tell you not to simply eat things given by others, especially a man of the opposite sex.

It was beautiful, though, and because it's beautiful, she was drawn to it and ate it. She immediately felt her cultivation surge and crack, and her cultivation increased to the peak of the 2nd realm.

Huang Lu, of course, didn't pay attention. He was too busy parrying the attacks of the Giant Spider. The Giant Spider was black and red, and each of its legs were thick and muscular, and had multiple tiny blades.

"Are we going to just play defense?" Huang Lu asked, as the others attempted to counterattack at range.

"Well, yeah."

"Alright, we need strategy." Huang LU shouted. "Should we aim for the head, or cut off the legs?"
