Boscha and Luz slipped into electrical together just as the game began. Luz looked back and smiled at Boscha, who was looking at her cuticles, or pretending through her red suit. “I’m really happy you volunteered to help me learn the game! I’m usually terrible at these. I know it’s really surprising, but I’m terrible at lying.”
“Mhm.”
Luz looked at her tasks before slipping behind the servers to start work. “Uh, Boscha, do you know how to do this?”
Boscha brought her arm to look at a watch she had on her sleeve. “Mhm.”
Luz sighed in relief before humming to herself as she got back to work. “I’m really happy you know how to play. I suck at minigames like these, at least until I know how to do them. So, can you tell me how to do thi-””
Snap. Boscha watched as Luz’s purple body hit the ground before going, “Mhm.”
Luz looked at her corpse before looking at Boscha. “That was just mean.”
Boscha lazily kicked the vent in the corner open before going, “Mhm,” one more time before jumping in.
BODY FOUND
Emira popped out a lollipop she was sucking on before saying, “Found purple in electrical. I think Ed did it.”
Edric’s eyes snapped open before yelling, “What? Why do you think I did it? I was in Navigation!”
“Because you weren’t following me.”
Amity tapped at the table, wishing she could say something but her mind was preoccupied with the torture she’d been going through in Admin for the past minute. She’d just vote skip so she could get back to doing her task.
Boscha on the other hand was all too happy to say, “That is pretty sus.”
Edric threw his arms up as he shouted, “How is that sus? Emira had tasks in Reactor, I didn’t. We split up. It makes sense!”
Emira pressed the little screen in front of her as she said, “And now he’s trying to argue with logic. Definitely is Ed.”
“Emira!”
Batfather was not the Imposter.
Emira sighed in her dark green suit. “Well, shit. Guess we should stick around the bu- Amity, where are you going?”
Amity’s black arm kept swiping in front of her as she moved away. “I need to get this task done.”
Boscha watched as Amity went before chuckling. “Ah, card swipe. The bane of all new players.”
Emira crossed her arms with a smirk. “Oh? I’ve done it first try every time, even when I first began.”
Boscha stared at the older Blight sister before smiling. “Hey, Amity, you here that? Emira says she did card swipe first try!”
“What!?”
NotEmiraBlight was not the Imposter
Gus567and9 joined the game
Emira looked at Gus’s name before simply stating, “That is the dumbest name I’ve ever seen. If I’m imposter, I’m killing you first.”
Gus scoffed at it before looking over Emira’s head. “Oh, and yours is so clever? At least Amity’s just seems naive.”
Amity looked up from the computer where Luz and her were trying to choose matching head wear. “It… It’s just my name.”
Everyone in tandem on the pod said, “Exactly.”
Amity paused as she looked at the computer before simply going to a corner to sulk. It wasn’t her fault she didn’t spend a lot of time online.
OXYGEN RUNNING LOW
Emira, Gus, and Edric all looked up at the warning. Emira then looked over to Edric and said, “Hey, bro, think you can go to the one in Oxygen? Gus and I have this one.”
Gus’ eyes widened at the question before he said, “Oh, uh, you know, I think I can go get it so you two just enjoy some good, quality family ti-”
Gus didn’t get out another word before Emira stopped him from getting too far from a knife in the spine. She finished it with a few more quick stabs… And then a few more for good measure. She then got up, her dark green suit now drenched in blood, before turning to Edric. “You know how this is going to go, right?”
Edric looked at the body, looked at Emira, and then simply sighed.
BODY FOUND
Edric started with, “Fuck,” right before Emira said, “I found Light Green standing over Blue’s corpse in Admin.”
Everyone moved to make a decision before Amity said, “Wait!” That at least got Boscha and Luz to pause as she continued, “Emira said that if she was imposter, she’d kill Gus first.”
Emira rolled her eyes before crossing her arms. “Come on, Mittens, can’t you take a joke?”
Luz now tilted her head now as she mumbled, “Didn’t you put suspicion on Edric because he wasn’t with you last round? Wouldn’t he want to stay near you this round?”
“He tried using the emergency to separate us. I decided to come back after briefly leaving to make sure he didn’t do anything and that’s when I found him over Gus’ corpse.”
Boscha raised an eyebrow before asking, “Ed, what do you have to say?”
“I already voted for myself.”

Gus567and9 left the game
Amity stared at her sister as the elder Blight girl merely gave the other three a wide smirk. She then just sighed and briefly wondered if Edric would do the same for her if she asked nicely enough.
OXYGEN RUNNING LOW
Boscha and Luz looked up at the sound before the two left electrical to head up to Admin. They both turned the corner to see Amity at the card swipe table before glancing at each other and moving on to head to O2. After all, Amity had this side covered and getting to the other side took a little bit of time.
Once there, Boscha moved over to the vent to start clearing out some leaves. Luz could take care of the emergency. She was curious who the imposter was. Could it have been Amity? No, she had genuinely looked like she was doing card swipe and how annoyed she was getting at that task made her pretty doubtful she’d choose to pretend to be doing that one. It didn’t really matter. If Amity was dead, then it was definitely Edric who was the imposter. Amity should have had more than enough time to punch in a couple digits though before he got her. Unless he used the vents…
She then stood up and turned around to see Luz rapidly pressing buttons at this point. The bully tilted her head a little before asking, “What are you doing?”
“It won’t turn off no matter what I do!”
“...You do see the note on the side, right?”
“...”
“...”
“I told you I’m bad with stuff like th-”
“Apparently!”
Boscha sighed before checking the watch on her wrist. Weird, the emergency wasn’t turning off. “Well, I think Amity is dead.”
Luz gasped. “Then we need to go press the button, right? And take out that fiend Edric!”
Boscha stared at Luz for about five seconds before going, “Really?”
Luz put her hands on Boscha’s shoulders as she stared deeply into the bully’s eyes. “This is life and death and if we don’t act we may lose one another.”
Boscha’s cheeks began burning before she glanced at Luz’s hands. The human was really lucky that she wasn’t the imposter. “Uh, okay then. Anyways,” she said as she turned away, “we have to go turn off the emergency first. If we get going, we should have just enough time to get it done. Or, if Amity is dead, reporting the body will stop the emergency.”
They both ran over to the other side before stopping at the sight of Edric. He was staring into the Admin room before glancing at them. He then held a finger over his lips before pointing inside. The two girls came closer before looking over his shoulders.
Amity was still at the card swipe. Even as the emergency ticked its last few seconds, she simply kept staring at the task.
Imposters Win
Amity blinked a few times before asking, “Wait, how did the imposters win?”
Luz shrugged. “I’m guessing that we all died from Oxygen running out? What do you all think?”
“Wait, we were running out of Oxygen?”
Both girls waited a few seconds for any of them to speak. Amity frowned for a second before going to hit her Caps Lock to speak again. It was then that the door to her room was slammed open. She turned around and stared at her siblings and Boscha. “What?”
The three of them shouted in tandem, “What were you doing?”
Amity pointed at her computer screen before yelling back, “That card swipe thing is impossible!”
The three other witches just stared at Amity before Boscha pinched the bridge of her nose and said, “Okay, we’ll show you how to do it next round, alright?”
Amity sighed before simply nodding. If she was going to waste ten minutes on this, it would be nice to not be the only one wasting their time.
-
Vrrr, beep!
Luz pumped an arm at her side in victory. “Finally, first try!”
Emira turned to her sister as she went up to the card swipe and first did her too fast, too slow, and then finally just right. “See, not that hard.”
Edric followed in his sister’s example before wasting an extra few seconds to just rapid fire fail it. Boscha rolled her eyes at the idiot before coming up and having Amity hold her wrist as she did it. “See, simple and smooth. Doesn’t take that much speed. Ready?”
Amity nodded before the two swapped positions so that if Amity kept failing it, her old friend could grab her arm and help her as needed.
And then Amity just stood there.
And continued to stand there.
Boscha turned to Amity before raising an eyebrow. “Amity? Are you going to do it?”
Amity shifted a bit on her feet. “It won’t let me.”
“What do you mean by it won’t let you?”
“I mean that I keep hitting the use key and nothing is happening!”
Edric and Emira glanced at each other before stepping back and summoning popcorn to enjoy while Luz came up to her crush. The human then grabbed Amity’s hand, turning the serious girl’s face bright red, and saying, “Well, first you need to put your hand in your po-”
Shck!
Amity’s face once again turned bright red as she stuck a knife straight into Luz’s throat. The poor girl’s eyes widened before she screamed, “I didn’t mean to do that!” No one heard her though because they were all too busy laughing at what just happened.
Amity Blight was an Imposter
Boscha rubbed her forehead with one of her hands before looking at her wrist. “Well, I have to go. Weekend practice and what not. You all have fun.”
Luz frowned for a moment. “Aw, but I was just about to see if Willow was available to play!”
Boscha raised an eyebrow at Luz before crossing her arms. “Oh, yeah, I totally want to play with someone who’ll vote for me every round regardless of if I’ve done a visual task or not.” She then glanced at both Amity and Luz before sighing. “Okay, I’ll try playing with her another day, but I do need to be going. See ya.”
XxBadBitch69xX left the game.
Treehugger joined the game. Tree joined the game.
Luz and Amity looked up as they stopped playing with the pet abomination she’d bought. Willow had said she’d be bringing someone but they both tilted their heads at the names. “You think…”
Amity glanced away as her cheeks lightly burned. “No. I mean, romance? We’re too young for it. Willow has more important things to focus on. Grades and what not.”
Luz looked away as she chuckled nervously. “Um, yeah, and who knows when she might not be able to stay with whoever she’s with? Or, you know, if she’s too weird for them?”
“Too weird for what?”
Both girls jumped as Willow stood over them before both babbling about there being nothing to worry about. Then Luz glanced at the person who was next to Willow and gave them a bright smile. “Hi! Who are you?”
The new player took off their red helmet to reveal a fluffy, faded purple ponytail, round cheeks, and bright, gray eyes. Amity’s heart stopped at the sight while it took Luz a second to realize the problem.
Skara didn’t. “Amity! It’s so good to see you again!” The social girl walked up and hugged her old friend tightly before stepping back. “I feel like you’re always too busy nowadays for us to find any time together. Then again,” she said with a touch of blush and a smile at Willow, who followed suit, “I guess I’ve been pretty busy too.”
Luz glanced between the two before tilting her head and looking up at the two’s names. She wasn’t quite ready to bring anything up though as Amity tried to play it cool. “Oh, uh, yeah. Finding out how to ration my time has been pretty hard. I know you’ve always had issues with that though between Grudgby practice, studies, and the… seven study groups you’re a part of.”
Skara blushed a bit at the last question before scowling and turning away. “Willow convinced me to chill out on the study groups and please don’t mention Grudgby. I could do with as few reminders of Boscha as possible.”
Amity and Luz glanced at each other before they both gave her a nervous, forced smile as Luz said, “Well, um, you could always just quit the team.”
Willow huffed for a moment as she crossed her arms. “She doesn’t need to. Boscha kicked her off a couple weeks ago.”
Which would put it close to shortly before Boscha came to Amity and Luz… Amity sighed before stepping closer and putting a hand on Skara’s shoulder. “I’m sorry to hear that. I hope it wasn’t too hard on you.”
Skara let out a laugh that caught them off guard before waving the concern away. “Are you kidding me? It just meant that instead of having to spend my afternoons getting yelled at, I could hang out with my girlfriend more.”
Amity’s cheeks turned bright red before she glanced up at the two’s usernames. “Oh. Um, c-congrats! When did you two get together?”
Skara tapped her chin for a few moments but this time Willow spoke up. “She was so taken with how kind I was during the Grudgby match that we started talking afterwards. About a week later she asked me out.”
Amity’s eyes became pinpricks at the idea of starting to date someone so quickly before Luz shouted exuberantly, “You two have been going out for months now and you never said anything?”
Skara glanced away as her cheeks burned bright. “Well, Willow likes to keep things quiet and we weren’t sure if we were ready to start double dating with you two yet.”
Willow groaned for a moment while Luz and Amity looked at each other and said at the same time, “We’re just friends!”
Then Amity added, “Just like Boscha and I.”
The young couple both tilted their heads at the same time before Skara asked, “What are you talking about? I thought you and Boscha were through.”
Willow giggled a little before pointing a thumb at Luz. “I wouldn’t worry about it. Even if Boscha tried to hang out with them, I’m pretty sure she’d try to kill Luz within five minutes.”
Skara rolled her eyes as she mumbled, “Sounds like h-”
Amity Blight has left the game. DarthOtter has left the game.
Skara blinked a few times before her eyes widened. “Wait, did they say they’re just friends!? How? Wha- Shouldn’t we say something?”
Willow, Edric, and Emira all responded with, “No, but you get used to it.”
Meanwhile, outside of the game, Amity furiously stomped around her room as she waited for Luz to pick up. The second she did she yelled, “You were supposed to tell Willow that we were hanging out with Boscha again!”
“I tried, but do you know how much those two hate each other?”
“I don’t care! Do you know how often Boscha talks about wanting to throttle Skara for quite effectively cutting her out of their friend group? She’s the one who was best at making plans after all! Boscha at least is trying not to be a bitch with Willow.”
“Yeah, but trying for Boscha is a pretty generous term in most people’s bo-”
“What the fuck are you two yelling about!?”
Amity let out a small shriek before putting her phone and yelling, “Familiar, devour!”
The familiar looked between it’s mother, the phone, which was, at best, the same size as it, before its shoulders slumped a little in defeat. Boscha rolled her eyes before looking at Amity. “Anyways, I wanted to stop by and ask that you tell Willow sorry for me that I’m not able to play and I hope we can do something together sometime.”
Amity blinked a few times before asking, “Really?”
Boscha rolled her eyes before mumbling, “It was your idea that I try getting along with people, wasn’t it?”
Amity stared at where her friend had been as the footsteps of her leaving the house sounded off until Boscha was off of the stairs. The serious girl groaned before picking her phone back up from her familiar. “Did you hear that?”
“All I heard was what sounded like jello trying to eat a microphone.”
Amity sighed before hanging up and sitting back down. Great. She not only had another friend that she needed to repair a friendship with, but also would need to try and not get Boscha or Skara to tell her to go take a hike because of the other.
Or she may have to decide which one was more important to her.
