Amity let out a slow breath as she looked at the short, single story house. Boscha’s family wasn’t the wealthiest which always meant that if they were going to have a sleepover here they kept the groups small. Three at most and what not. It honestly felt somewhat right for tonight. Bare minimum, you wouldn’t constantly be reminded of your place in the magical hierarchy here which was one of the reasons that she assumed helped Boscha calm down. After all, of her friends, Boscha was the least important to her family.
Maybe she always liked things to be simpler like this. She’d never really thought about it before now but it was nice to consider. Now if only it didn’t feel so complicated nowadays. It was one of the few ways that Luz had made things worse. Amity expected it to be fine though. An acceptable loss. Instead, Boscha decided to actually do something about it and messed up that thought.
“Hey Amity! Wow, you look amazing tonight!”
The serious girl shook herself out of her thoughts before looking behind her. Luz and her had agreed to meet up in front of the house, if not just to make sure the idiot managed to find it. Amity’s cheeks burned at the reminder of the fact that her mom had spared fifteen minutes to dress her up a little. Just some makeup and light curling to her hair, but it did mean she was able to let it down and frame her face better than her ponytail commonly let it. “Oh, uh, thanks. You look like… you.”
Luz giggled for a second before holding up a bag she had with her. “Don’t worry, I did bring pajamas with me. I’m just pretty comfortable in my own clothes so I didn’t see a reason to change ahead of time.”
Amity shook her head a little. See, this was the sort of simplicity she was talking about. Still, “Okay, I get it, but I want you to put more effort into trying to get along with Boscha than you did with your looks. It,” she bit her cheek for a second before whispering, “This means more to me than I’d expected it to.”
Luz felt a small pang of jealousy before raising one hand and placing her other one over her hand. “I, Luz Noceda, promise to do my best.” She then giggled before looking at the house. “So, uh, anything I should know before we head in?”
Amity groaned as she had to think about everything Luz would have to avoid doing. Still, there were a few simple ones. “Don’t talk to her dad more than you have to. He’s probably not going to be as chill as my parents about you.” Which Amity still didn’t entirely get and her parents kept insisting it was just because she was a friend of hers. If that were true, it wouldn’t have taken Willow showing off her skill with plants and new found control over her powers to get her to be allowed over again. “Two is to not go through Boscha’s stuff. I know that should be simple but she’s incredibly touchy about people trying to figure out more than she wants them to. There’s a reason her Penstagram only shows what she wants it to.”
Luz pouted for a second before saying, “I might get that better if someone would finally help me get my own spell phone.”
Oh Titan, not this again. “And we’ve talked about how you’d have no reason to send it into its own dimension so it could charge, let alone retrieve it.” She then waved her hands lightly to dismiss the topic. “Final ones are not to touch her phone, don’t mind it if she wants to take pictures, and do not touch her water bottle.”

Luz creased her brow for a second as she rubbed her chin. “That last one seems really specific.”
Amity shrugged her shoulders. “Supposedly it’s a workout blend that she made for herself but takes enough work that she doesn’t want to waste any. Besides, I’m going to tell you to avoid it.”
Luz gave Amity the biggest kitty eyes she could as she whimpered, “But what if it smells delicious?”
“And what if it liquifies your insides?”
Luz winced at the thought before standing up straight. “Alright, alright. I think I can handle all of that.”
Amity sighed in relief before looking back at the house. She hoped the rest of the night could go this smoothly. The two would also hopefully be reminded to keep it quiet with the fact that Amity was wearing one of Edric’s shirt and a pair of sleep pants to try and be as comfortable as she could. Well, that and to look as far away from the bitch Boscha was used to so she didn’t forget that she had changed.
“Hey, are you two going to just keep standing there like a couple of losers or get in here?”
Luz rolled her eyes before looking at Boscha. And then looking. After all, Boscha was reminding both of them that as far as Penstagram she went, she was a star and it wasn’t just for her work on the field. Her gray blue eyes were accented by light red eyeshadow while being half closed like a seductress at them. Her lips were black with some sort of glossy lipstick and the blush on her cheeks was just the right amount to be seen but appear entirely natural. Not even like she was just blushing but just adding a little warmth to her face.
But while that was all nice and good, it was what she wore that had stopped the two girls’ hearts. Even what could be considered benign was more than enough to catch someone’s attention such as her fishnet stockings or shoulder length, black gloves that stopped at the second knuckle of her fingers. Then there was the less benign stuff, such as the white wrap over her chest that contrasted too well with her gloves. All she had to do was place a hand on her chest to make both girls consider the fact that Boscha was the most… developed of them. Finally, her ensemble was finished by a pair of shorts that looked like they were barely more than low riding underwear. Luz could imagine Boscha bending down and- Nope. Nope. Nope.
Boscha merely raised one of her eyebrows before asking, “Like what you see?”
Amity and Luz jumped at the question before looking away and babbling nonsense for about ten seconds before the human finally figured out something to ask. “Uh, are those really your sleep clothes?”
Boscha strode over with her hips swaying like she was a professional model on the runway. She then traced a hand along the right side of Luz’s chin as she whispered, “Well, if I’m trying to make sure we can get along, I thought I’d make sure I had you in a more… receptive mood.”
Luz’s mind exploded as a thousand thoughts bashed into each other at the same time. In fact, it was so bad that not only did her nose start loosely bleeding, her hair burst into flames. Boscha flinched at the fire before looking at Amity, who hadn’t fully registered that Luz was in trouble as she was trying to not think of how ‘receptive’ she was to Boscha right now. The bully wasn’t caring about that for once though as she yelled, “I swear I didn’t do that!”
Amity blinked a few times before shaking her head to clear it before looking at Luz. Her eyes then widened before she let out a shriek and grabbed her friend’s hand. The two of them booked into the house and even blew past Boscha’s dad as Amity headed for the shower to put Luz’s head under it. That left Boscha standing there outside with a shiver as the cold night air blew over her.
Of course she’d just get Amity’s attention back on the fucking idiot. She shut her eyes as she marched back into the house. She didn’t look at her dad, because she knew exactly how he would be glaring at her, and just focused on grabbing her cold, metal water bottle, the one only for her home, and slammed back a quick gulp from it before breathing out slowly as she calmed down. Amity did like how she looked after all and Luz did too. Yeah, it’d be okay.
It’d be okay.
