Max walked to a certain room and had Lucy open the tightly closed stone door.
Inside was nothing other than water, emerald water, to be exact.
Max smiled creepily, looking at the water he had Lucy produce over the last 2 weeks.
"Lucy, first Kidnappe an oubach for me to scan. If everything checks out, we'd rain it down on them. "
'okay.'
"be careful about it Lu, make it as silent as possible. "
'okay. '
Soon a lonely Oubach was embraced by Mist and swiftly drawn into a tunnel that opened and vanished in an instant.
Soon enough, the Oubach found itself bound with white chains in front of Max.
it recognizes all humans as an enemy, so it started growling at him.
"Grrrrrr! ".
Max looked at the ugly creature in front of him with slight disgust in his eyes, still he put his hand on the creature's head.
"Simulator scan potential pet. "
[Ding, scanning …]
Max didn't plan to have an Oubach as a pet, unless there's something unique about that Oubach.
However, using this excuse is the best method to get the simulator to perform a more advanced scan than normal.
Still, not the level of scanning performed on his own pets, but it was good enough.

Max was speechless for a moment, because he knew that this particular Oubach wasn't some elite.
He saw it all alone, too weak to claim subordinates or such, so having such a luxurious lineup didn't make sense.
However, after some thinking, Max found out that it was completely reasonable.
{Weak evil aura}, {corrupted}, and {enhanced fertility} were so compatible to the point that it couldn't be natural in such a weak creature.
It was obviously someone's doing :
With {enhanced fertility}, the numbers of the Oubach will increase substantially, which will cause {weak evil aura) to stack.
At that point, it will create enough evil presence for all the tribe members to start mutating daily because of {corrupted}.
Even if Max turns off his brain, he could still tell that there was a bigger conspiracy going on with this bunch of Oubach, but did he care?
Not a single bit!.
As for them being controlled, Max didn't care because when he observed the two figures and the Oubach's attitude towards them, it was merely not hostel.
other than that, they didn't show the slightest respect towards them.
Most probably such a weak effect can be broken if the Oubach becomes a little more stronger.
"Lucy, make it rain."
'okay.'
Although Lucy felt reluctant to waste her precious emerald water on this bunch of ugly things, she still obeyed.
Max switched his vision back to the underground.
A single drop fell on an Oubach's head.
The ugly creature wiped his head and smelled his hand after, in confusion.
However, its red eyes lit up immediately, recognizing it was a treasure, and it started licking its hand.
Not getting enough, it started growling and opened its mouth wide to the Direction it fell from.
And its actions were soon rewarded, as drop after drop fell into its mouth.
The ugly creature was so excited it started breathing heavily.
The other Oubach noticed its strange actions, and soon enough, a taller, much stronger Oubach came and pushed the first one away.
That oubach didn't dare resist and made way, but its red eyes gained a deeper shade as a crazed light flashed inside them.
The new oubach tasted the droplets of emerald water, growing excited by the minute.
The other oubachs went restless, wanting to give it a taste, but before they could act, it started raining down that same liquid everywhere.
Max saw the shimmering droplets falling down.
For a moment this place was lit up, as the group of oubachs rushed to give it a taste.
But when they did, it was then when all hell broke loose.
Primal greed flashed in their red eyes.
As they started massacring each other without hesitation, competing for this precious resource.
Max was stunned as he witnessed a war of a few thousand Oubach breakout.
It was a free for all, there were no consideration for kinship or race, only greed was left.
Soon the rain stopped, but the war didn't stop only half an hour after.
Max was tongue tied, as he witnessed the victors feast upon the bodies of their brethren.
At least half of the tribe was killed in a mere 45 minutes.
Max kept watching, as he witnessed their numbers rising again at a mind-boggling speed.
" this is practically an infestation!.
Such ferocity! Such disregard for one's life in battle."
Max smiled from ear to ear, because now he was sure this bunch will be able to buy him enough time to achieve his purpose, or completely break Kain-city.
In either case, Max will be able to find opportunities to fish in troubled waters then.
At the same time, he was curious about the effects of emerald water on them.
Because Oubachs have a faster growth speed than even his crows, although they suffered from a shorter lifespan.
A Minimum of one year and a maximum of 2 years, also their intelligent is almost non-existing, functioning as deadly beasts nothing more.
" interesting! let me see what becomes of you. "
Max stopped observing and went back to reading his article.
