"NO!!!" Kurouzu tried to reach Yamato with his hands the moment his ring glowed even brighter than before. From his back, spawned two ethereal arms which held onto the spear of his opponent. Kurouzu then swung the arms, throwing the soldier to the side. When Yamato looked at him, Kurouzu's eyes glowed a bright yellow.
Kurouzu then conjured a bow and arrow from this aura, separate from the bow and arrow that he was carrying. "Move away," he said quietly, Yamato then rolled to the side. After charging his ethereal bow and arrow, Kurouzu then shot the dozens of soldiers behind Yamato.
These ethereal arrows went through the soldiers' armors, killing them instantly. But then after panting heavily, Kurouzu heard that one soldier who attacked Yamato before running away, turned his attention to him. He then conjured a spear by spreading his right arm to the side with his palm opened wide, the spear then miraculously placed in his hand.
"Say this to my brothers," he said as he pulled back to charge his power to throw. In a flash, said soldier was struck right on his chest, killing him instantly. Both Kurouzu's ethereal arrows and spear then disappeared, seemingly evaporating into the air.
That was the first time he discovered his element, a form of cosmic power. While Yamato looked at his friend, absolutely terrified thinking about the possibilities, Karito stared in awe at how powerful an Ookami with their rings actually are. And deep inside his heart, he too wanted to be all-powerful like him.
----
"After that first impression, Karito trained with us even harder. He told us he wanted to be stronger, and to be able to help in our revolution to take back the kingdom from Yamisuke. But something happened two years into our friendship..." Kurouzu continued his story.
As the three grew into early adulthood, and with the world still crumbling around them, they wandered into a small village called the Okuto to see if they could stay and find some odd jobs to do. Suddenly, a villager screamed at the sight of Karito among the three, after his hood was blown away by the wind and his hair was visible. This old man then fell on his back, then ran away while screaming, "Raisuka!! It's the Raisuka!!"

The other villagers then turned their heads around, and rushed the trio with whatever weapons they could gather. Kurouzu covered the rest of the team in front with his arms stretched out, "We don't want any trouble," he tried to negotiate with the people.
"Move aside, our problem is with that kid behind you, he's a Raisuka," when he asked what the villagers mean by that, one of them explained that the Raisuka was a clan long ago that immigrated from the west to their village to seek shelter and promised to help with their economy. But a few years later, while the other families were getting poorer, the Raisuke were getting more powerful over time.
This also coincides with children disappearing for the following years, making the rest of Okuto citizens suspicious of the Raisuka that they are committing witchcraft. It all escalated when one of the Raisuka was elected to become the new head of the village. This seemingly quick rise in their social status drove the original citizens into a rage, they raided the house of the Raisuka and murdered their leaders. Their suspicion then came to a climax when they found dozens of small skeletons in one of the Raisuka houses, and a multitude of scrolls with unknown languages. After that horrible revelation, the Okuto massacred all of the Raisuka until no one survived, they were also burned all of their scrolls and even houses so that nothing remained.
The villagers then theorized that Karito perhaps was one of the surviving Raisuka clan members that were not in the village when the massacre happened. And that even though he was still a young boy, they did not want to take any chances.
----
"Something changed inside Karito. His thirst of power grew even stronger after the discovery of his past, and for the years I knew him, he always has this one goal to fulfill: he wants the Raisuka to essentially be reborn, and perhaps take revenge to anyone who wronged them," Kurouzu ended his story, then sighed heavily. "Or at least that is my interpretation of his possible motive... then again if he is here now, then it means the Raisuka didn't go extinct. The body that he is in right now, his family, must also keep their ancient scrolls, hence why Yamato found some of them in his hideout,"
Kyuuto did not respond directly, then Kurouzu spoke again, "I couldn't believe that this is the path he takes... could it be that---"
"I'm thinking the same way as you," Kyuuto cut him, "It's Anrui again. The old man he said he lived with in his childhood is him. He had planned this since all those centuries ago. Yato, Yusuke, and even my father... they were all manipulated by him..." Kyuuto's eyes shivered after realizing how powerful and omnipotent he actually is.
