As I wore the ring dad gave me with his last breath, I felt strange. My head was in terrible pain, and I even felt like a bomb just exploded inside my brain. All of my muscles are strained, I couldn't move much, and breathing was even very hard at that instance. I looked at my surroundings, it was getting brighter and brighter even though it was in the middle of the night.

I couldn't handle standing up, so I was forced to kneel down, while looking at the nerves of my hands slowly glowing. I felt a surge of peculiar power through my blood. My body heat rose tremendously, I lost my ability to see clearly.

I hold my head with both hands, to just ease the pain caused by this extreme headache, but it just wouldn't stop. Then I felt the heat burst coming from my eyes. I couldn't handle it anymore, and so I screamed, I screamed as loud as I could. I lost my vision, but remember that something comes out of or either comes inside my body from above creating a vertical streak through the roof. I don't know how far the blast reached, maybe even through the earth's atmosphere.

After that painful and magical experience, I fainted. For an entire week.

I woke up in some kind of student health center room. With many beds around me, and many other people laid down on them. They were unconscious. I felt familiart, despite knowing that I was in a place that I've never visited before. Someone knocked, and opened the door in the corner of the room. He was a tall old man, with a muscular body.

He sat on a chair beside my bed, and began to talk, "You're finally awake. How do you feel?" he asked me with a deep and rough voice. I looked at my hands, then my body down to my feet, I was glad everything was still intact, but I was weakened.

"I'm okay," I answered briefly.

The old man sighed, cleared his throat, and began to talk again, "My name is Yuukai, I am the leader of this special academy. You are one of a few hundreds people we managed to save after the Great Search last week,"

The Great Search, that's what the people are referring to when asked about the havoc last week. A man with peculiar power destroyed the city and killed many people, only for the sake of finding me.

"We have buried your parents with honor, and if you'd like to, I will gladly take you to their graves," said Yuukai, with grief and sorrow in his eyes. At that instance, I didn't remember well what happened, only after he told me, that I remembered the horrible thing done to my parents by that mysterious man.

"No, I'm fine," I answered, looking at my hands. I was trembling, I wasn't ready to see the final resting place of mom and dad. Then out of curiosity I asked Yuukai, "What happened to me?"

Yuukai stood up, then offered me his hand, "Let me show you,"
