A few days passed, a plan was devised to further expand the base. It involves the expanding of the beacons, as well as eliminating more of the possessed. Kyuuto's team were assigned to check on the supplies while making sure all of the Zodiac swords and Auric gauntlets were prepared, "We're starting to build the Capital back, eh?" Yato remarked as he tried to fasten a tie on a supply box.
"This is one step closer to taking back the city," Kentarou agreed. Then the team came across a man who had been the nightwatch the night before, he described something peculiar that happened during the night.
The man was sure that they were being watched by a pair of eyes among the buildings across the boundaries. "Come on, don't scare us man, we're just only on our first week here," Yato commented. The Jaeger seems to be relieved and laughs as he went to do other tasks. But deep inside Kentarou's mind, he knew something terrible was coming. As the night came, he volunteered himself to watch atop the tallest building in the area.
Hours went by, he didn't see anything under the moon. But then an eerie cold breeze of wind whizzing by his nape all of the sudden. He tried to maintain clear sights up ahead, while also maintaining his eyes open. After more hours struggling to stay awake, Kentarou finally understood what the previous guard had seen on the night before. He saw the same sight as he explained, a pair of eyes looking at him from the distance, among the broken windows of the buildings across the road.
At first Kentarou was startled as the pair of eyes directly stared at him, but in the following moments, he tried to draw his sword, ready to face off the lurker. But the pair of eyes disappeared.

As the dawn rolled by, and Kentarou's eyes grew more tired, he saw something out of the ordinary. He saw a person standing on the roof of a building about the same height as the one he's standing on. The man seemed to raise his right arm and was staring at the base. He then scratches his own chest in a painful way with his nails seemingly powered by darkness. A flash of light suddenly erupted, then a lightning strike soon followed.
"Everybody wake up!!" Kentarou alerted the whole base, but just a small group of people actually heard his scream, mainly just the nightwatch who had fallen asleep in his vicinity.
"What the actual hell---" some of them were terrified to see what stood up on the horizon. A looming titan suddenly in front of them, right outside of the light-barriers. Kentarou and others were frozen in seeing the creature, his black body covered in dark aura and goo dripping from all over his body. His eyes were purple, while his mouth was watery and full of jagged teeth.
The creature prepared to run, the nightwatches were a little too late to actually run, and they realized what's going to happen next.
"Everyone get back!!" Kentarou screamed one more time, then got away from the barrier by jumping to the nearest building as the titan dashed and went through the barrier, destroying the group's defenses. Some of the warriors in the vicinity were killed during the initial breach because the titan attacked some of the buildings, destroying them in the process.
Soon the warriors woke up, extremely horrified by the sights they were about to see. A tall figure with bright eyes, standing over 20 meters above ground, with sharp claws for every finger on his lanky arms. Amidst all the chaos, a warrior froze when a piece of a building came falling on her head, ending her life instantly. A friend of hers was hysterical, trying desperately to save her lifeless body under a massive boulder but to no avail, while another warrior pulled her to safety.
That day, the warriors received a grim reminder.
