"Kyuuto!!" Kyuuto's dream was cut short by Hikiri shouting at him. When he woke up, he saw that the house was under attack, demons and hunters gathered around and wreaked havoc in the area, "get ready!!" the team then prepared to fight outside the house.

The sky began to darken, as hunters and demons flocked around the area. When Kyuuto looked at a nearby utility pole he saw Kanata became a hostage to someone... he then realized it was, "Ishimaru?!--- Why are you here?!"

He only replied with silence. He was pointing his blade to Kanata's neck then said, "The world today is dying. It lost its wonder millennia ago, and we're trying to revive it," he then pushed his blade until it actually touched Kanata's neck.

Kyuuto unsheathed his sword slowly with the fear of Ishimaru just straight up slicing Kanata, while glancing around, he saw a lot of the possessed ready to ambush them from all directions, "What are you talking about...?!"

Ishimaru did not answer, he then looked over to the right, to the dark part of the neighborhood where Aotori could not see anything there. "For now, I won't talk much about our plan. But if you want to see her again..." Ishimaru then sliced a small cut on Kanata's neck, making it bleed. And from it she fainted. He then carried her on his shoulder and hopped away.

"Shit!---" Kyuuto was about to give chase, when all of the possessed attacked at once. A demon leapt from the roof he was standing on, with his talons directly targeting Kyuuto's head. But he managed to defend himself with his blade in horizontal position.

Kyuuto then focused his energy and conjured his ice element onto the blade. With extreme cold on his side, he was able to slash the demon and made him unable to move. At that point he took a step back and charged straight forward to stab the demon. Blue glow as well as ice particles shone in the middle of the night, brighter than the lights around them. The demon was bleeding from his heart, then fainted.

Kyuuto once again looked at Kanata getting carried away by Ishimaru into the dark of night, but with his focus on the possessed, he could not do anything but fight. And believed that she would be okay.

"There's still a lot of them coming!" Rin observed as she was trying to purify the fallen possessed in her area. The demons carried the hunters on their backs and dropped them from the air, "where do they come from?!"

After paying attention to Rin's panic, Kyuuto thought about Yamato as he is the one in charge of the demons. But he did not sense him anywhere. He must be nearby, he thought to himself. Little did he know, Yamato was hiding in the dark spot Ishimaru looked at moments ago. He just stood there observing.

Hikiri managed to slash more than one demon with one quick charge. He seemed like he hacked once, but actually did a lot of cuts before he arrived at the other side of the attack. Every demon in the immediate vicinity of Hikiri's attack got cut, and effectively stopped in their steps.

Karito on the other hand utilized his six daggers to attack. With his magnetic element, he was able to strike the hunters and demons around him with just simple flicks from his hands. With it, he was also able to pull back his daggers, and threw them again to different targets.

A hunter with dual zodiac swords appeared from behind Kyuuto and was about to cut him in half, but Ishigaki came from the side to give him a shield that deflected the attack. Ishigaki then punched said hunter with his fiery fist, even burning the swords in the process. Now he was able to control his flame well, so that the hunter did not just burn into crisp.

"Thank you," Kyuuto smiled from behind him, in which Ishigaki smiled back, "if they keep coming at this rate, we wouldn't be able to defend ourselves, there's too many," he observed some new hoard of hunters coming from the south. But he also still thinks about the possibility of Yamato in the area, but could not locate him.

Aotori then startled by a loud horn from the distance, which distracted also the possessed, lights could be seen from where the base of the warriors was. "Attack!!" a familiar shout then heard, it was Aosuke with the warriors behind him.

With different elements in their arsenal, as well as Oras with light elements, they helped the struggling Aotori to clear the area. Aosuke directly summoned his flame to burn through the hunters and demons, instantly defeating them. Followed by many others.

"I hope I wasn't too late!" he said as he sliced one of the enemies, smiling brightly. Kyuuto and Ishigaki then smiled back after looking at each other.

"You're not," Kyuuto answered, then once again prepared his ice element. Now glowing even brighter than before, with Ishigaki at his side, with his fire element. They are opposites but with one common goal.

Meanwhile Yamato was still observing them from a distance, specifically the two. He was reminded of how Kurouzu and Natsuki used to work together in battle like that, "Your spirits remain the same they seem," he whispered to himself. He then thought about Ishimaru who orchestrated this whole ambush, "what the hell is he trying to do?"
