Aotori was dealing with mecha-Karito while focusing on Kanata that was high above their heads. Ishigaki worked together with Hikiri to distract Karito with his flames, but he still stood strong without feeling even slightly annoyed by them. Karito then swiped his arm across, and managed to kill some of the warriors that came in his way.

"He's too tough! We need more firepower!" Aosuke yelled, while was trying to dodge some scrap metal Karito threw at him, "and I mean literally!" he then used his sword to slash flames into one of Karito's solid foot, but it just did not burn, "our flames aren't hot enough!!"

The warriors then turned to each other looking for other fire element Jaegers. After gathering some of them, Aosuke then tried once again to blast Karito's feet with fireballs, but they just would not go down.

Kyuuto meanwhile focused on Kanata who was frightened by the height she was on. While Yusuke in the distance was getting nearer, his focus once again waned. But in the end he tried to hop around while the warriors were dealing with Karito in order to save one of his teammates.

But then when Kyuuto was near Kanata, Karito flinched his finger and made the metal pole even taller, making Kanata scream as Kyuuto struggled to reach her. When Kyuuto looked over, Karito stared dead into his eyes, "You will never get her down!!" he then raised his right leg, and stomped the ground as hard as he could, causing an earthquake, making the warriors standing on the ground to fall down. He then punched the ground with his hand, spawning metal spikes from it. Those who were late to realize got stabbed violently and died on the spot.

"Now it's your turn!!" Karito then turned towards Kyuuto, and swung his arm that he transformed into a sharp blade. Kyuuto then conjured an ice shield to protect himself, but because Karito's force was too powerful, he got thrown into a building and destroyed it with the impact, while the shield was also destroyed. The rest of Aotori were terrorized to see their fellow comrades just brutally annihilated in front of their eyes. Even Aosuke was unable to stand, and was on his knees, with tears running down his cheeks.

While the darkness' reinforcements were coming, something sparked inside Ishigaki. Seeing the brutality of Karito boiled blood and incinerated his soul. Ishigaki then grabbed Aosuke's fallen sword and began heating it up. With a blank expression, Ishigaki transferred his heat onto the blade of the sword, making it blazing red hot.

"KARITO!!" he then leapt without warning towards the enemy, while Yusuke and his army also marched forward towards him from the opposite direction. Ishigaki tried to slash Karito, but he managed to block it. Moments later, Karito felt the heat of Ishigaki's blade go through his metal arm, "Enough with this!!" Ishigaki screamed once again.

Right before the blade went through his body, which was located on top of the mech he was controlling, Karito ejected himself and was able to dodge Ishigaki's lethal attack. He then landed on one of the buildings on Yusuke's side, right when their army arrived. The rest of Aotori helped Kyuuto from the rubbles, then he finally saw his brother face to face.

"You'll become stronger than me," Koori smiled to Kyuuto one evening, he was teaching him self defense, complete with sticks used as dummy swords. He asked Kyuuto if he was tired or not, but Kyuuto just shook his head and answered that he was just thinking.

"I was thinking about the future," he replied. Koori paused, his eyes turned blank as if he realized something. He remembered how Yusuke was getting nearer from time to time, and that his body would no longer be his to control. His diary, which he kept inside his drawer all this time, served as notes of the curse's progression.

He knew that someday, he would fight his younger brother, and that he would not have any control over it. A single tear nearly fell from his eye, but he was able to keep it. Instead, he smiled again and replied, "The future is in your hand, you can change it if you have the courage to do it," marking the end of the practice that day, the last practice that they will ever do. Koori's words sunk deep in Kyuuto's heart, as the golden sun sunk into the horizon.

Kyuuto clenched his fists as the memory of Koori flew into his mind. His tears were unbearable, he tried to stand up with the help of his comrades, "Koori..." words started to slip from his mouth, as emotion flowed even harder than the memories. "YUSUKE!!!" he shouted, while radiating a dark-cold aura in the area, sending shivers and dread down both the warriors and the possessed. Everyone in the vicinity felt their hearts getting heavier, as if Kyuuto's sadness spread among them.

"We finally meet properly, Kyuuto. Your brother was dying to see you," Yusuke said to him, he was some distance away from Aotori, they were divided by the mech Karito controlled, and the tall metal pole that Kanata was still trapped on, "or honestly... I also couldn't wait to meet you too," he grinned behind his mask. Then he remembered something, "oh, where are they? The brothers that I met not too long ago, what was their name?" he held his head while thinking, the green liquid from his sleeves dripped onto the wreckage below and just seeped right through without any difficulties.

"Ah, the Itsukas!! I remember now, where are they?" a moment of silence permeated the area, as no one was calm enough to answer him, "well? Okay, I assume one of them is already dead, no? Kazuki? Ah, poor boy he was. But from the first time I saw him, I already knew he wasn't as nice as you would assume, and I guess I was right," Yusuke then squatted, looking at Aotori one by one.

"Hm, I see. You guys are shocked as well. I reckon this is the first time you've ever seen me in millenia, no? And maybe this is also the first time you see me yapping about, not behind Yamisuke," he then stared at Hikiri, Ishigaki, and Kyuuto very closely, "then this is going to be a big reunion..." he stood up, then swung his arm, making the acid splash even more, and corroded Karito's mech in front of the horrified warriors. Now they understand what he was capable of.

"Let's begin, shall we?"
