As the flower bloomed in my hands I looked around and saw very little variety in the colors since I only saw green and blue, not that there was many people nearby since it was only Kaito and Rei, and as the color began to show I got a system ping but I was way too focused on the flower and mine was red in color, and it drew the attention of Rei "I've never heard of anyone getting a red Veridrake" Kaito walked over to me and said "seems you're either really lucky or unlucky, only time will tell us" I nodded "Well now what" they were still holding theirs "well we use the leafs for tea, not that it taste good" I blinked a few times "what if the red one has poison?" they shrugged "better hope not" kaito said, I sighed and we went back inside and plucked the colorful Petals off of the plant and put them into cups and used them as tea leaves, and they weren't kidding when they said that they tasted horribly, after awhile they left to go to sleep and I remembered the system ping and looked at the system.

I sighed "it was only and easy quest" I looked up at the roof and then slowly called onto the bed mat, and fell asleep.

I woke up to Rei walking into the room "Seems I woke you up again" and as if she remembered I slept with my shirt off she turned around "why do you keep entering the room while I'm sleeping" and I could tell her cheeks went red because I could still partially see them "Well I come in here to make sure your ok" I stood up and put on my shirt "Why?" she sighed "Because I'm your friend and I don't want anything bad to happen to you" I walked up right behind her "and who would have enough skill to kill me without making a noise" she nodded "fair point" I squinted at her and said "is there another reason" for some reason everything she was saying had been making me doubt what she said despite the fact the I didn't have evidence of it, "Well, ok ill tell you but don't make fun of me" she faced me again and she looked like she would actually cry if I made fun of her so I said "Ok I wont make fun of you" she breathed out and said "Your the first human boy I've seen before" I sighed "that still doesn't explain it" I forgot how bad kids my age were at lying, "I just wanted to see if the rumors were true that humans had a super sense" I chuckled "I wish, my sense have been honed over the years for survival" she nodded and then left to go do her job, which I found crazy that they made a 14 year old girl act as a guard of such a valuable place, but that wasn't for me to act or care about since my mana core was now fully formed, I went over to the sword masters house and he invited me in to have some tea, and so to try to learn some more I came into his house "so you know my real name but I don't know yours" he laughed and said " My name is Lyell" I nodded and said "so what are you teaching me today?" he responded with "Patience child, patience, I've just woken up" I frowned but sat silently until much latter, when he began to stretch "So Im going to first teach you the basics of silent step, but I'm not going to teach you how to use it fully because I want you to form your own style of it" I nodded and he began to explain it, and in short all I have to do is force mana into my feet creating a sheet of it on the bottom, and that removed most if not all sound.

"well go practice now" I nodded and began to try to create a sheet of mana on my feet but I couldn't since my concentration was constantly broken by random things like the sound of a hammer striking steal, after awhile I got a small extremely thin layer to cover my feet but it broke the second I tried to stand on it, and at around noon, master Lyell said "Go Home and don't return until you can use the most basic form of Silent step, because if you cant even learn that then why should I teach you" I sighed and began to walk back to Kaitos house, I walked in and to my surprise Rei was sitting there, she looked up from her book and said "Whats got you down?" I sat down on the edge of the house and said "I just cant seem to get the basics of the Silent step technique" she nodded "not an easy technique to learn especially at your Core level, nothing meant by that, but at being just the beginning stage of a Mana core trying to use a higher level Technique would need you to be at least a red Core, or higher" I looked at her confused "I thought I had a mana core" she looked down as if slightly disappointed "So you need to strength and refine you Mana so you can use the higher level techniques, and the cores go from Black to Blue, Blue being the highest and black being the basic core level, and to refine your mana you'll need to meditate and focus on your core for hours at a time, but there are many different in-between stages for a mana core" I nodded and said "Thank you" she smiled and went back to reading, while I went to my room and began to meditate.
