I sat looking towards the door discreetly, after a few seconds of knocking my parents opened the door, and the Elf girl I had saved from the bullies was standing there, the hood she had over her head showed a tiny bit of golden hair and her eyes were green, my dad looked down at her and said "What do you want?" she looked frightened and blood was running down from her head, my mother pushed past my dad and picked her up and brought her over to the table to clean up the blood on her head, I got up and walked to my room to try to stay out of being found out for being awakened,

I laid on my bed starring up at the ceiling, after a few moments my door opened and the elf girl was standing there and in a quite voice she said "thank you for helping me get away from those bullies" i looked over at her and said "Your welcome" the girl then left the room and i assume left the house too because i heard the door shut, i then got up and left again, i followed the small footprints and found her sitting next to the tree, i sat down next to her and said "So about what i did during that fight" she looked over and said "what the weird magic ball" i laughed and said "Yes please don't tell anyone about that" she looked over confused "why?" i looked up and said "The human elders don't like when humans use magic" she nodded "i understand" i stuck out my hand "I don't believe i caught your name but I'm Orion Rivers" she shook my hand and said "I Lyra Frost" her skin was Pale in the light coming from under the tree, she then said "Could you teach me how to use magic?" i looked over shocked, since most Elfs naturally could use magic "We would need to find a secret place for me to teach you, and since we cant leave it becomes near impossible" she nodded "and if i found a spot would you teach me?" i shruged "sure but I'm still finding out about my own ability and magic" she frowned and looked down "My parents don't even belive i have mana, they are ashamed of me for it" i looked over to her and said "i know that feeling" she got up and began walking to the wall of stone "I've always wondered whats outside of these walls, always heard stories from the golden age and how beautiful the world once was, and how the behemoths and gates ruined its beauty" i walked with her and said "The world once was beautiful but disgusting" she looked over to me with wonder in her eyes "how would you know?" i panicked and said "the elder told me so" she understood it "maybe i should hear this elders story then" i nodded "She was apparently there for the golden age" i got up and said "why don't we both go to her house" she nodded and we walked over to the elders house and we sat there for hours listening to her tell story of the golden age, when i said "Whats your thoughts on the awakened?" she looked at me in the eyes and said "I think that if they had stepped forward when the fall first started then we would still be in the golden age" I looked at her and said "And what if they didn't yet exist?" she shrugged "we don't know if they did or didn't" I nodded and then Lyra said "Why do you dislike awakened people?" the elder looked down at her and said "I dislike them because even now they still make us pay for their services and they barely do anything, and I get that they didn't start all of this" she motioned into the air "but they do at least keep us from being wiped out" I nodded and got up since night was beginning to fall "Talk tomorrow Lyra" she nodded.
