As the door exploded inwards a giant two horned man who wore lots of red pushed inwards " I reacted quickly and tried to grab my dagger but nothing was there, so I grabbed the nearest kind of sharp object and that object was a fork, not the smartest thing I've done but it didn't matter much because as I was rushing towards the person who looked like a Mizukai, Kaito stoped the man, killing the attacker " who was that" Kaito shrugged " I'll explain later but follow me" I nodded and said " is the village being invaded?" He nodded and said " I'm trying to get the biggest force to try to counter attack" I saw as the city was being burned and building that once looked tall and sturdy fell apart, " so why did you come and get me, a 14 year old awakend male" he chuckled " you can't lie to me I know that you awakend can slow your aging to a near stop if your strong enough" I had herd rumors that awakend could do that but I couldn't confirm it, we were running to the gate, we got to the guard tower and grabbed some weapons since they stored them under a board in the floor, I found my dagger and a longer sword and took it since it meant I could kill faster, " so now what do we do?" He opens the door " we stop the invaders".

Hours later

I wiped the sweat from my head and walked through the blood covered streets I saw many different types of people some looked like they were in casual cloths while other wore full armor, I whent and found Kaito " I see you also survived" he was covered in blood and had many wounds " we need to do a full sweep of the village and the area outside the village" I nodded " you should get some rest, and try to find a healer" he nodded " If anyone try's to kick you out of the village show them this patch" he handed me a small blue patch" I thanked him and he left me, I went around the streets and found a few of the invaders hiding and well they didn't live, eventually i just sat down and for awhile I didn't hear anyone else it was just me, but eventually the peace did stop and some soldiers came up to me and they all drew their blades, I pulled out the small patch and their leader squinted " how do we know you didn't kill him" I sighed and said " because he's currently sleeping in his house after helping stop these invaders" they left with a slightly angry look in their eyes and I got up and walked to the main gate and climbed onto the wall, and looked into the woods and saw some bushes move, I focused on the tree line since I wouldn't know if the invaders would come back or not I looked along the wall and saw that the other people weren't paying attention to the woods and were instead celebrating, I scoffed at this and kept my eyes on the woods when one of the people walked over to me drunkenly and grabed my shoulder and said " man we saw you out there your a great fighter, you should patry with us" I shook my head " No because if those invaders come back we'll need to be able to fend them off again" They then said "Man you a party killer" They left me alone and I looked into the woods all night until Kaito climbed the walls and said " You should get some sleep" I shook my head " I'm not sleeping until I'm 100% sure that the invaders are gone and not coming back" Kaito shook his head " I know humans awakened or not can't stay awake for that long without issues and your fighting will suck" I sighed " we can't leave those idiots up here when they're drunk" he nodded " if I go and get some new guards will you sleep" I looked down and saw a bunch of guards who weren't drunk and nodded, and then Kaito when down there and brought some new guards up and I kept my word and then began the walk back to his house but a bunch of people were trying to get me to drink with them, but I didn't and instead weaved through a giant crowd of people who were drunk, when I got back into Kaitos house his wider or sister or whatever she was, she sat at the center table and said "Why don't you come to get something to drink, consider it a treat since you kept my brother safe" I sighed and said "Sure but I'm not going to drink a lot" She nodded and said " I heard you also stood on top of the wall after the battle" I nodded and she poured me a large amount of whatever alcohol it was, she pushed the drink over to the side of the table I sat on "So I heard you're quite the good warrior with those steel blades" I shrugged "I'm just trying to earn myself a place in this village" She smiled and nodded "Well I think so far you've earned it" I took a sip of the drink and it tasted like a weird combination of chocolate and grapes, I looked up from the drink and said "How many humans have stayed in this village" she put up two fingers " and the last one was executed for letting the Enkaku into the village" I looked over at the semi fixed door and said " are those the same people who invaded today?" she nodded " they attack around every 6 months" I sighed " so why don't you build stronger walls" she shook her head " they could easily burn it down" I took another sip of the drink "well we shouldnt be talking about the depressing nature of this on a day of celebration" i nodded and we talked for awhile.
