I nodded and she continued "did he say anything to you before turning into that monster" I nodded again "He acted insane saying things that the darkness had given him strength, but at the same time he seemed to have internal struggles also saying get out of my head" Kaito then said "Ive heard of a things called the elder gods, they apparently sometimes come down and give people strength in return they have a new vessel to cause chaos or whatever they want" I nodded "He just didn't seem right in the head when I spoke to him, he also knew things that he shouldn't have known" Rei stood up and we all stood up after her and then she said "Why did he call you John, I'm sorry but its the little bit I had overheard" I sighed and said "He was an insane man so who knows why he called me John" sweat covered my hands and Kaito was looking at me suspiciously "We should try to get to another village" I nodded and then we began to walk through the forest seemingly aimelessly until we came to a small clearing, and we stoped and found some berrys to eat, and then Kaito said "So What are you Hiding from us, I know how to spot a lie" my hands were slightly shaking "I wont speak of that past" he sighed "I get you don't want to speak of the past but we need to know you connection with Ezra, so we can better asses what to do" I looked up at the Beutiful blue sky and sighed and decided I could trust them "I only ask you one thing" they both nodded and I continued "Dont tell anyone else and try not to look at me differently" Kaito extended his hand and our middle and pointer finger were extended while the rest of our fingers weren't, a small gesture of friendship I was about to start "Are you going to tell us your not from earth" I chuckled at my past lie and said "Im Sorry Rei but that was a lie, that needed to be told in order to keep my own secret" she looked down at the grass "Im technically from the golden age of humans, before all of this" I motioned with my hands to the Forrest around us "I know it'll be hard to believe but I think some Elder God brought me back for some purpose" not technically a lie, Kaito was looking me in the eyes "Well I believe you its that or you can tell a really convincing lie" he shrugged "what was earth like before all of this" I nodded "well us humans had giant city's that could withstand natural disasters, we had the entire world mapped out and we had weapons that could easily destroy entire mountains, but we also had a community that wasn't as close as your village was, so it could be said that a long the way of becoming powerful we had lost many things" I breathed out and then clapped my hands together "Any other questions" Rei then said " I have one" I nodded "Go Ahead" she then told me her question "what was your original name" I was still staring at the sky but I looked down "In my previous life I was John Alexander Smith" then Kaito said "SO whats your connection with Ezra" I shook my head "I had only met him in this life" he frowned and then I said "Well I'll answer more questions as we go" he nodded "Probably for the best" and we all got up and crossed the giant field, and we crossed the field and found a tiny pool of water, and it was moving water so I grabbed some and drank it and we continued on our way eventually we hit a roaded area, and the road had burn marks and giant new holes "He must've went this way" Kaito had said, i nodded and then said "We shouldnt travel anywhere near this road" Kaito sighed and then said "Its the way to the next village" Then Rei said "You dont think hes destroying the villages" i shrugged "i Dont know him well enough to say if he would or not" she nodded sadly "we should probably try to find some shleter, its noot safe at night especially when a Behemoth level class creature is coming to exist" I nodded and we found an abandoned house and reinforced the door with some old furniture and wood, we sat around a small light source and talked about how life in the village had been eventually I drifted off to sleep as an entire night of not sleeping bored down onto me.
