Cain was pushed back by the blow, and his feet skid across the arena. He flashed forward and struck Lambard directly. He couldn’t get too close to him because the heat around Lambard acted as protection.
“First movement”
Lambard suddenly shouted. His halberd struck towards the earth like a falling star, obliterating anything in its way. Cain dodged by flashing away, but the attacks radius was huge, so he was still caught on the edges of the blow. Luckily the damage was minimal, however the tips of his clothes were burned off, making him look pretty awkward. The two kept trading blows, however Lambard was getting slower and slower with each additional attack.
Just keeping up his sun body mode used up a tremendous amount of energy. Now that he had fought for such a long time he was starting to run out of steam. He started getting desperate, and decided to take the risk.
“Second movement”
He’d never successfully used this move before, nonetheless, he no longer had any options. Lambard was extremely lucky however, because the pressure from the fight let him break through. His halberd flashed down, if before it was like a meteor, now it was like the sun itself was collapsing towards Cain.
Seeing this, Cain wasn’t worried. Lambard wasn’t the only one with martial techniques.
“First spear strike”
His spear shot forward like a snake, slithering towards its prey’s neck. The spear and halberd smashed against each other, causing a massive shock wave to spread across the arena. Cain used his ability to flash back, avoiding a heavy chunk of the damage. Alas, Lambard didn’t have the same ability, so he took the brute of the attack face first.

He managed to hold on for a little bit, before the power ultimately overwhelmed him. He was blown back off the arena and landed on the floor unconcious. His clothes had been burnt off completely, and he was covered with ash. His goons wasted no time and picked up his unconscious body before rushing off.
Cain was standing on the other side of the arena with his back straight. The crowd seemed to suddenly realize what happened, and broke out into cheers.
“He actually did it. DAMMIT, I bet all my contribution points against him”
“Idiot, I bet 1 point on him just incase. Seems like my planning paid off”
“Who cares about your contribution points. There's a new top 10 disciples, Lambard has officially been dethroned. I really didn’t expect that…”
Cain walked down the arena steps. The disciples quickly got out of the way, not daring to offend him. Lambard would be able to smack them all around with a single arm, much less the person who defeated him.
“Cain you actually won! I was expecting a tie at best”
Durren said, not bothering to hide his true thoughts at all.
The group decided to head to a fancy restaurant to celebrate Cain’s win, however Lefric seemed somewhat off the entire time.
“Cain, I’ve been thinking about this for a while and this fight only confirmed my thoughts. I think it would be best if you became the new leader of our Greenwood faction.”
“What are you saying Lefric. I might be strong, but you’d definitely do a better job of being a leader then I would”
“Well, I’d feel embarrassed”
“What are you saying Lefric. Cain’s right, you’ve lead us for such a long time and have already become a natural leader”
Aliz spoke, Nabar and Durren wasted no time agreeing with her.
Seeing that Lefric still felt slightly off despite everyone agreeing. Cain decided to pitch in with his own idea.
“How about I become something like an elder. That way Lefric can stay leader and I can have my own role.”
“Yeah, that's perfect! From now on Cain, you will be our factions supreme elder.”
“Let’s have a drink to celebrate. To our new supreme elder, and 10th ranked outer disciple!”
The group downed their drinks, and started their feast. However little did they know that this wouldn’t be the end of the good times, in fact their new supreme elder would lead their Greenwood faction to a golden age.
