Divine Perception Planet

Divine Perception Planet

“Ho-ho-how…?”

Hotch was stuttering trying to get a sentence out of his mouth, but in the end he could only say a single word. The students of Accelerated Institution jumped out from their seats in jubilation. Cain only needed a single movement to defeat the entire opponent team. People started realizing how much they underestimated Cain. He was beyond a monster, he was a freak, that seemed to constantly do the impossible.

“Cain, how the hell…”

George was trying to come up with something to say but he just couldn’t. He always knew Cain was talented and knew he’d have grown a lot this year, but only now did he notice Cain was already living in a world beyond them, they simply couldn't be compared to him anymore. The rest of the event passed by however the crowds excitement had died down a long time ago, after seeing Cain’s performance the other battles started seeming lackluster in comparison.

Accelerated Institution took first place no problem, the reward was a supreme gene stimulating elixir, Cain could still use these elixir’s so he humbly accepted. The trip back to school was quiet. Graxi who always had something rude to say was silent for the first time. The group arrived at the school and Cain headed back to the headmasters room, the emissary from the Divine Perception Sect was most likely here by now.

“You must be Cain, young man. I watched your performance and was quite impressed, however if you think that is enough to make you special, you are greatly mistaken. The students from my sect can’t be compared to these children, they are the true geniuses gathered from among the countless planets in the universe. Each one of them goes through an extreme selection process before being accepted into the sect. Had your headmaster not done my a life saving favor in the past you would never have this opportunity. However don’t think you are already in, you are only given a chance to partake in the examination, whether you pass or fail is up to you.”

Cain could hear the arrogance in this emissary's voice, he wasn’t surprised. From this emissary’s perspective, the geniuses on this planet wouldn’t even have the talent to become servants in the Divine Perception Sect, so naturally he looked down upon them. Cain wasn’t concerned with what the emissary thought about him. The only thing he wanted was this opportunity, and he had no plans of failing

“Get all your things ready, we’ll head out soon”

Cain felt his blood boil, he was finally going to head into the real world. He quickly said his goodbyes to everyone before joining the emissary on his spaceship. This was the first time Cain had been on a spaceship so he kept looking around at all the nifty features. This spaceship was more like a mansion then a vehicle. There was a bathhouse, cinema, training room, garden, Cain felt like he was in a 5 star hotel.

“It’ll take us about a month to get to Divine Perception Planet. You can use any of the rooms in the meanwhile”

“Divine Perception Planet?”

“Naturally, the entire planet belongs to the sect. The disciples are like kings in a mortal empire, and can do whatever they want. The sect owns multiple planets, but this planet is our homebase. Core disciples get one of the sects subsidiary planets as their own, this is only part of the benefits awarded to the sects most talented disciples”

Cain was shocked, he didn't know much about sect's other then the fact they were extremely powerful. Learning now that the sect owned an entire planet astounded him, and the fact that they could just hand out planets to the talented students almost made him fall back. He started noticing how big the universe was, for a sect a planet wasn’t anything special, considering the universe had an abundance of them. The amount of resources they had on hand was unimaginable, it made sense that all disciples from sects couldn’t be compared to regular people at all.

He looked back at Earth that was fading away in the distance and clenched his fist. He suddenly felt like that planet, that once seemed so endless to him, was merely a grain of sand in the ocean called the universe. Cain looked forward, he wasn’t worried or scared, he was excited. Everything in the past had been building up towards this moment and he was ready. His character underwent a slight change in that moment, the him he used to be, the one who still felt insecure and afraid of the future disappeared. Cain’s back seemed to get straighter and he exuded a confidence he never had in the past.

The emissary watching this watch slightly shocked. What Cain just underwent was a type of enlightenment. This enlightenment wouldn’t increase his power, or make his genes level up, instead it made his character stronger. This was a change in belief, he would no longer look back to the past, instead he would constantly fight for a brighter future. His prospects suddenly seemed much grander then they had in the past.

“Maybe this kid actually has a chance after all”

The next few weeks passed by in the blink of an eye. Cain had spent his time training and reading up on some of the research books the ship had onboard. He looked out the window at the massive planet floating in the space beyond him. It was about 100x bigger than earth and was a bright silver color, like a pearl in the night sky.

“Were here, I hope you’ve spent this month training well”

“Don’t worry, I’ve been training my whole life for this moment…”
