The alpha strider was holding onto one singular thread which is connected to the ground, he then screeched and that was they're cue for action.

Arachnids swarmed the thread and started climbing it in order to reach their prey. She was the first at the beast and used the alpha strider as an leverage point to climb onto it. Now on the back of the creature, it's screeches just keeps on getting louder, she bit down and injected her venom into it.

It screeched in pain and shook her off but the next arachnid was there and she also bit down. She knew it was only a matter of time until it succumbs to the venom and falls down.

And just like predicted its hairs started to fall out and its movement slowed. It then fell down, the alpha strider still in its cluches. She rushed over and took out a bite from it before hurrying over to the alpha strider who was accompanied with by the strider who struggled to put the egg aramor on.

The alpha strider was of course wounded after what just happened, his movements aren 't restricted but he can 't take another hit like that. Once the alpha was freed he also started eating his fill. As I walked behind the alpha I noticed how that inferior strider kept on admiring the alpha which just didn't sit right with me.

Strangely I don't mind that a strider is leading us.

'Shouldn't it be an arachnid? But he's still wounded so challenging him for the leader role would be rather disgraceful.'

This time we didn't hesitate and immediately swarmed it. I grabbed the othe side of its head to make escape impossible. Once almost everyone grabbed it the creature was unable to move, strength in numbers. I watched as the inferior strider who has been going on my nerves for some time shakily approaches the head with a rock in hand.
