Ah
I made a mistake.
The spirit is still hostile, how bothersome.
A black flash circles in the dome and whilst running leapt at me. Only to be grabbed by Freya and thrown away. It let out a haunting screech and dashed to the wall.
How bothersome.
I gave you your strength.
And I can take it.
----------------------------------------
Ah
I made a mistake.
I try to free myself to no avail. To think these lamians would come up with a whine trap. And since when are there this many of them?
This might prove to be a problem.
"Can we talk about this?"
----------------------------------------
Ever since coming to this world and being reincarnated as a snake person thing I have been doing my best to survive so of course I know how to make a trap big enough for him.
I'm not sure what to call him, but one thing is for sure. He sucks at chasing things like seriously we didn't even sprint for most of the time.
"Can we talk about this?"
I frowned, he's probably smarter than me so he could trick me but this is a chance to learn.
"What do you want?"
It was a simple but serious question, if I know what to offer him we could come to an agreement.
"I'm part of a unnatural swarm and lamian venom would be of great help."
A lamian? Is that what I am? So he wants our venom, I have an idea.

"Can you offer protection?"
I was always paranoid that something might happen to me.
"Depends, the leaders decision."
So they have a leader?
"Can your leader come here?"
"No, he's wounded."
Wounded? Was he looking for something to help their leader?
"Can I meet him?"
He looked me in the eyes, all the struggle and thoughts vanished from his face, his eyes were cold.
"Depends, will you behave?"
----------------------------------------
How bothersome
The centipede coiled around Freyas upper body and tried to bite her but I already took away it's fangs so it only head butted her. It's a lot slower and lighter than it used to be. It's darkness already left it and it's chitting is thin.
Freya smashed her two free hands into it and it cracked. She grabbed it threw it against the wall, she's surprisingly good at throwing.
I didn't move the entire time, I was gathering the anima from the centipede which is quite hard from this distance. My hands constantly moving, weaving the anima. Streams of anima moving all the mana away from it.
I stretched out my hand, neon yellow strings attached to my fingers connecting me with the centipede, and with a powerful pull.
It returned to the pitiful worm it used to be.
----------------------------------------
I carried her in all of my four arms, even as children lamians are heavy.
"You're heavy."
She looked at me with a confused look like she didn't expect that, because she didn't.With a huf she turned to face forward.
How do I explain this?
----------------------------------------
Hey uh
That's quite a intimidating tent right there. I guess that's where their leader is, I hope he's reasonable.
...
It's dark in here, thankfully I have my heat vision. Though I can't really see in detail. But I could see and feel that there is something.
"Are you the leader?" I asked with dread, that things huge!
"No, she isn't."replied my not-yet-but-soon-will-be steed. As if on cue the large figure moved to reveal a smaller one. The hands of the second figure were constantly moving as if he was weaving something, maybe he is I can't see good.
After that my not-yet-but-soon-will-be steed and who I'm guessing is their leader were talking in a language of hisses and clicks beyond me.
"Do you want to be with your brothers and sisters or-"
"I don't care about them, they left me to die more than once."
He didn't say anything to me but I could feel a hint of malice from him, what are they talking about?
"Well I guess you stay."
Those were good news, but that means there's a catch.
"At what cost?"
More malice could be feld from him.
"You're going to be part of a...experiment."
I wanted to protest but my body went limb and them slowly but surely pain made it's way through my body. It hurt! IT HURT! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! Yet the only response my body gave was a singular tear.
But I know how deaths embrace feels like, this is not it.
----------------------------------------
To think I would use the spirit in such a way. Forcing another being to evolve whilst I could have used it on myself. He says I won't regret it, I will kill him if he lied to me.
I started weaving the ambient anima into a small web, this is my preferred way of gathering anima.
I looked through the neon yellow web, Freya.
This gives me an idea.
