Chapter 5: The Ashfall city and volcanium

In the elemental realm Crystalia, earth domain, western volcanic region, Ashfall city.

The Young adventurer named Miles with his party of 4 excluding him has finally reached Ashfall city where their adventurer exam will be held one day before Lucas had finished setting up the first floor and started the passage collapsing.

“wow! This city really is made by carving a volcano just like the rumors said” said Miles.

“Miles slow down a little, will you? We have just arrived here after a long journey and everyone is very tired,” asked a golden-haired girl.

“Yeah Miles you can explore the city later but first let's check in at the inn and rest a little” said a black cloak-wearing young cat beast woman.

“oh come on guys you can't possibly be tired just from a little traveling and aren't you guys also excited to explore this city” said Miles

“You know Miles, not everyone here is a fire elementalist and always has lots of energy like you” said a green-haired boy in a roguelike outfit.

“Yeah not everyone is a hot-headed idiot like you Miles” said a white-haired boy with very pale and soft skin and a face like a girl's.

“Hmm shut up ice princess who asked you anything here.” said Mile in an annoyed tone.

“What did you just call me huh?” asked the white-haired boy.

As soon as the words were said the air around them started changing into hot and cold.

“Miles, Luke enough, stop it both of you right now or else” said the golden-haired girl.

Just as she finished speaking both Miles and Luke immediately became like docile puppies.

“Yes that's how you boys should be” “Now everyone let's go and check in at the inn” said the golden-haired girl

“Man we are lucky to have you with us Rebecca or else who knows what trouble these two idiots would have caused” said the green-haired boy.

“Hey he's the one who started it so why are you blaming me” said Miles.

“Ok ok everyone let's stop arguing and go check in” said Rebecca.

After that, they spent a while trying to find a place to stay for the duration of their visit to Ashfall.

Then at an inn named sleeping cat, they booked two separate rooms. One for the two girls and one for the three boys.

“Hey Rebecca, why is the ice princess in the same room as us boys shouldn't he be with you girls.” asked Miles.

“Miles I have told you many times to stop teasing Luke just because he has a feminine face” “Now say sorry to him Miles or else” said Rebecca with a threatening smile.

“Woah ok ok I am saying sorry you don't have to get mad alright” “hey Luke I am sorry ok” said Miles hurriedly.

After this small exchange, they settled into their own rooms and after eating dinner and got ready for bed.

“Hey Robin and Luke, do you guys know why our adventurer exam is taking place here because there isn't any dungeon here” asked Miles.

“Hah looks like you are as clueless as ever Miles aren't you” Robin sighs while saying it “Anyway our adventurer exam is taking place here because a dungeon appearance has been predicted by the guild in the city of Ashfall and they want to use this newly emerged dungeon to conduct our exam” Robin explained.

“Though now that you know you guys should get some sleep because tomorrow we will be exploring the city” added Robin.

“Yeah, you are right, let's go to sleep after all not everyone has the same amount of energy as a hot-headed idiot” said Lucas before going to sleep.

“Hmm, I will let it slide this time because of Rebecca but I am not a hotheaded idiot” said Miles angrily.

“Argh, fine I am going to sleep already”“Good night Luna” said Rebecca.

“Yes, good night Rebecca,” replied Luna.

The next morning.

“Ooh yeah, good morning Ashfall” shouted Miles.

“Oh my god the hot-headed idiot has already started annoying people” said Luke in an annoyed mood.

“Now c'mon Luke don't be so grumpy and cheer up” said Robin in an encouraging tone.

“Hey boys have you gotten ready, it's time to go and have fun in Ashfall” asked Rebecca.

“Absolutely prepared to have fun so let's stop dilly-dallying and go have fun and explore Ashfall” said Miles.

“Yes we are also prepared so let's go” said Luke and Robin.

After that, they started to explore the city of Ashfall. First, they went to a famous tourist spot known as the volcanium which was an aquarium of monsters who live in lava ponds of the volcano.

“Hey guys look, those are baby lavahorses” said Rebecca with an excited voice.

“kyaa, Are they not just so adorable?” squealed Rebecca.

“Oh you are so right Rebecca they really are very cute and adorable little guys” said Luna.

“Seriously, what do you girls even like about those tiny and weak creatures?” asked Miles.

“You should instead look at these lava eels, just look at them. They are all so awesome and powerful, nothing like those weaklings” said Miles.

“Well, I have no interest in those lava eels so don't annoy us girls” replied Rebecca.

“You know we should split up into two groups to enjoy the volcanium you boys can see what you like we girls can see what we like” said Luna.

“Oh that's a great idea” said Miles and Rebecca simultaneously.

After this, the girls group watched many cute animals in the volcanium. while the boys group also saw many deadly and strong creatures in the volcanium.

Just as the two groups were enjoying the volcanium an announcement for a special show was broadcasted through sound transmission magic artifacts placed throughout the volcanium.

“Attention, dear visitors, the volcanium special holiday show will begin shortly at the lava pool. Be sure not to miss it.”

“Man our luck must be really good today because this show is rarely held at the volcanium” said Robin.

“We should definitely go there if it's a rare opportunity. How can we miss it?” said Miles with excitement.

“Hmm I agree we should indeed go to this show as I am also very curious,” said Luke.

After the group of three had decided they started to head towards the center of the volcanium where the lava pool is located to watch the show.

Meanwhile, the other group had also decided to go to the lava pool to watch this rare show.

Though none of them knew what was about to happen.
