Chapter 12: The fourth floor
In Ashfall city, The Adventurers guild, quite a while earlier than when Lucas finished his third floor.
Miles and his party had immediately come to the guild after the adventurer exam was completed and had gotten their official adventurer IDs which were made of bronze and had some enchantments on them.
“Whoa cool, hey Rebecca what are these enchantments on the ID for exactly?” asked Miles.
“Well I think these help with some kind of identification process or something, actually you know what, let's just ask the receptionist shall we?” said Rebecca before asking the guild receptionist the same question that Miles had asked.
“Oh I see you guys want to know what these magic enchantments on the IDs do, am I right?” asked the guild receptionist for confirmation who was a blonde-haired lady with a petite body and a gentle smile on her face.
“Yes we indeed want to know what these are on the IDs for?” said Rebecca.
“Alright then you see these enchantments on the IDs are to help in identifying the adventurer and also to prevent theft and fake fabrication of guild ID and it can also recognize its owner by the blood pact which we had you adventurers do to get your IDs where you had to cut your finger and let the ID's absorb your blood.” explained the guild receptionist.
“Oh I see, thank you very much for explaining it Ms… uh actually we never did ask your name did we?” said Rebecca, a little embarrassed.
“Oh it's no problem and my name is Emily. Nice to meet you,” said Emily.
“Yeah, nice to meet you Ms.Emily, and let me introduce ourselves as well. I am Rebecca and that red-haired boy is Miles and the green-haired boy with a bow is Robin and the cat beastwoman wearing the cloak is Luna and the white-haired boy who is the ice mage of our party is Luke.” introduced Rebecca.
“It is very nice to meet you guys as well and you don't have to call me Ms.Emily just Emily is fine,” said Emily.
After this new encounter with Emily, they all headed back to the inn and rested for the day.
When the morning had come they had woken up and gone to the guild to get their first quest but when they arrived all the quests were already taken.
“Oh hello guys, nice to see you again, and good morning though if you guys are here for the quests then you should have gotten up even earlier as adventurers wake up very early,” said Emily.
“What man I was looking forward to getting our first quest but oh well” sighed Miles.
“Ah also you guys are a party right?” asked Emily to which Miles and the others nodded.
“Then you should officially register as a party,” said Emily before explaining to them how a party must be registered with the guild and have a name.
“Then our party's name should be Free Hearts, how's that?” Rebecca suggested to which Robin and everyone else agreed after thinking for a moment seeing which Emily registered them.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“Congratulations from now on you guy’s party will be known as Free Hearts,” said Emily.
“Also since no quests are available you guys can instead go and challenge the new dungeon if you want and if you get any materials then you can sell them to the guild,” said Emily.
Hearing this the party decided to head toward the dungeon.

Meanwhile in the dungeon, on the third floor.
Lucas had again woken up after hearing the level-up message.
[Ding, congratulations to the host for leveling up to level 4. ]
[A skill point was obtained and the maximum number of floors increased to 4. ]
Oh nice, then shall we get back to business. As I thought that I immediately used the floor designation skill to designate the fourth floor.
After this, I started to use the skill terrain manipulation and followed the previous theme and made the entire floor into an upwards rising volcano with rivers of lava flowing from the top with many small lava geysers spread throughout the floor.
There are also many hollow spots in the terrain filled with lava where if someone steps on it the terrain under them will break and end up resulting in the challenger falling straight into a pool of lava with no way up.
Alright, that be all for this floor's terrain manipulation so, let's choose the new monsters, shall we. As I thought that I upgraded the skill monster creation.
[Ding, the skill monster creation lvl 3 has been upgraded to monster creation lvl 4. ]
[Monster creation lvl 4:
Choose two new monster types.
Lesser molten metal golem (fire+earth)(rare):
A very rare type of magma golem that has absorbed rare metals into its molten body to make itself stronger but still failed to become a true molten metal golem. It has superior physical capabilities and defense together with high-speed regeneration and knows basic metal magic.
Elder flame salamander (fire)(lesser champion):
It is a unique lesser champion type monster among flame salamanders and has the ability to command other flame salamanders and can also cover itself with reinforced lava armor when fighting.
Number limit per floor:1
Fire imp (fire)(uncommon):
It is an imp that lives in volcanic regions and has the ability to use basic fire magic and has minor fire resistance. ]
Woah the first two options are so fucking awesome and it's also the first time I am seeing a monster type with a number limitation per floor. Why is that?
[Detected that the question is valid]
[There number limitation for this monster type as it is not an ordinary monster but instead, a champion among its race and champion monsters do not tolerate any other champion monster of their kind to exist in the same place as them. So there is a number limitation for champion-type monsters.]
Oh, I see, then system, can you tell me more about what these rare, uncommon, or common specifications which these options have is really about? As I mentally asked, a system box popped up to answer my question.
[Detected that question is valid]
[The specifications that you see in the menu refer to how common or rare a monster is among its kind such for example how among the salamander race the flame salamanders are rare and another example is how the fire imps are not very common among the entire imp race.]
Ah, I see now so that's what the specifications were about huh, I thought about this for a while before choosing my two new monster types.
System I choose the elder flame salamander and the fire imps as my two new monster types.
[The monster types Elder Flame Salamander and Fire Imps have been chosen as the two new monster types. ]
After I had finished selecting the two new monster types I started to put them throughout the floor.
First I put ten Flame salamanders and an elder flame salamander at the top of the volcano floor where the gateway to the next floor was.
Second I spread thirty fire imps and fifty Ash imps throughout the floor together with twenty flame salamanders.
And at last, I also put some lava eels in the small lava pools below the weak terrain so that if someone were to fall into the lava pool even if the lava didn't kill them the lava eel would.
Then after these changes were done I asked the system to show me the options though they were all the same as the third floor's options so I just chose scorching heat for this floor as well.
Alright, that should be all. Now let's see how the new challengers are doing to pass some time.
