Chapter 11: The third floor
In Ashfall city, the dungeon gateway square.
The other adventurers who had entered the dungeon started to exit a couple of hours after Mile's party had exited.
But only one-third of the people who had entered returned from the dungeon and the fate of the other people was most probably death because of which everyone stayed quiet and mourned the fallen for a while.
After that the people who had passed had finished resting; they all gathered in front of a stage on which Armod got on top of the stage and started speaking.
“Congratulations newbies now all of you gathered here have officially become full-fledged adventurers” Armod continued.
“All of you don't forget to get your adventurer IDs from the Ashfall adventurer guild and best of luck to all of you in your future adventures and goodbye until we meet again,” Armod said before walking away.
While all the parties were going toward the Ashfall adventurer guild for their official IDs.

Lucas pov.
In the dungeon, on the second floor, Lucas had woken up and was looking at the new level-up messages.
[Ding, the host has leveled up to level 3]
[Obtained one skill point and floor limit increased to 3]
[Requirements for the title slaughterer have been met]
[Title slaughterer obtained]
[Slaughterer lvl 1:
A growth-type title given to one who has killed 100 sentient race members. This title allows the holder to use the skill bloodlust.
Bloodlust lvl 1
This skill allows the host to be able to intimidate weaker creatures. ]
Holy shit Man! For some reason I had actually forgotten that these challengers are intelligent creatures and there are even humans among them and I had still killed them without feeling anything but why? As I was questioning myself a new system message popped up in my vision.
[Detected that the question is valid]
[The host is no longer in a human body but a dungeon core because of which the host's soul is also slowly becoming similar to a dungeon core so the host no longer possesses pity and remorse for any intelligent race other than dungeon cores. ]
What! Noo I don't want to lose my humanity! Hey system, tell me a way to stop this change in my soul. As I mentally asked the system for answers while being extremely angry, a new system box popped up in my vision after a couple of seconds to answer my questions.

[The host can stop the human soul from turning into a dungeon core soul by either reaching level 50 and acquiring the human form or by obtaining the harmony skill from having two opposing elements as primary elements. ]
But how can I have water as my primary element when I have chosen fire as my specialization and lost all access to it?
[When a dungeon has five floors of their specialization completed then the dungeon can choose a new specialization for the next five floors. ]
Hmm, I see then system activate the floor designation skill, and let's start building the third floor.
As I asked the system, the skill floor designation immediately turned a part of the dungeon space into the new third floor which was waiting to be completed.
Alright, let's see if I follow the theme then first let's make the nearby area around the gate into an igneous rock area. I immediately used my terrain manipulation skill to turn the nearby area around the gate into an igneous rock area.
After doing that I then started to turn the rest of the first half of the third floor into desolate basalt plains with some scarce patches of obsidian here and there and I also made thin veins of lava run throughout the basalt plains.
After this, I turned the other half of the third floor into an upwards going volcano with rivers of lava flowing down the top and having the gateway to the next floor be in the middle of a lake of lava at the top.
Alright, that should be everything done now, system upgrade the monster creation skill again using the available skill point.
[Ding, the skill monster creation lvl 2 has been upgraded to monster creation lvl 3. ]
[Monster creation lvl 3:
Choose two new types of monsters
Magma golem (fire)(rare):
This is an evolved version of the lesser magma golem and has higher physical capabilities and defense together with faster regeneration.
Ash imp (wind+fire)(uncommon):
A special type of imp found in Ash filled volcanic regions and has a special body made of ash making the Ash imp immune to physical attacks.
Basalt hounds (earth)(uncommon):
A mutant species of hounds who live in basalt plains and have bodies as hard as basalt. ]
Huh, the lesser magma golem choice changed but why? As I wondered that question a system box popped up to answer my question.
[Detected that question is valid]
[The lesser magma golem option turned into a magma golem because of the floor being suitable for magma golems and most importantly being a lower floor than the second floor which turned the lesser magma golem into its superior version]
[The system advises the host that he lets the option grow even more before choosing it]
Oh, this is the first time the system directly advised me about something so the two new monsters which I will choose are quite obvious, I choose the Ash imp and the basalt hound as my two new monsters.
After choosing the new monsters I immediately started putting the monsters throughout the third floor.
First I put thirty Ash imps and twenty basalt hounds throughout the basalt plains and then I put twenty flame salamanders and twenty lava eels throughout the other half of the third floor and I specifically put eight lava eels in the lava lake at the top of the third floors second half.
Alright now that the monsters have been placed throughout the third floor. System show me the absolute laws for this floor.
[The absolute laws for this floor are:
1)Scalding heat
This absolute law covers the entire floor in scalding heat which will burn any challengers who are without any type of heat or flame resistance.
2)Restricted area specification:
This absolute law allows the user to be able to specify an area as a restricted zone which will make it inaccessible to everyone.
3) All-seeing eyes bestowal:
This absolute law allows the user to be able to bestow the all-seeing eyes to all living beings on the dungeon floor allowing them to be able to see the level of each other living beings. ]
Hmm, let's see. I think the first absolute law is the most suitable for this floor so I choose the Scalding heat option.
After I finished choosing, the entire floor was covered by scalding heat.
Alright, the third is now officially completed so let's wait for the next batch of challengers who will come to conquer my dungeon, shall we. After thinking that I once again fell into a quasi-sleep state.
