Chapter 26: Viewpoints part.1

In the dungeon, eleventh floor, Lucas was still busy putting monsters and elemental plants throughout the eleventh floor.

Though let us go back to the time when Lucas had just summoned Alcatraz to be his core guardian, at that time while Lucas was busy dealing with the new and unexpected addition to the dungeon in the Ashfall city something was happening.

Man this city is a pretty good place, I had thought that it would be more hot and volcanic but the city itself is actually pretty good.

Then as he turned his attention to Dave the leader of the party and the only summoner among them. Huh, it looks like something is plaguing the leader's mind today. I wonder what it is, though it's not my business as long as he doesn't cause me or my brother to get hurt then it's all fine.

Then he stopped looking at Dave and turned his eyes to once again admire the city of Ashfall.

Man I hate that dungeon but even so I just can't get mad at it because of the lucrative rewards it gives every time. Though if the dungeon keeps getting hotter and hotter then I will have to rethink how I go about with the task which that bitch gave to me.

Then as I was thinking, Rebecca knocked on my room door and called me. “Hey, Luke you awake come down it's time for breakfast”. “Coming just wait a sec”.

Then after I said that I got up from the bed I was sitting on and opened the door and then followed Rebecca to the dining hall to eat breakfast.

Man I hate having to do jobs for the spirit king like this, he always just gives the most annoying jobs but I also can't disobey or else I will be disposed of. But still man I really hate this promotion, like this is more of a demotion than a promotion as they basically just pushed me out of the organisation and left me to the spirit king to be used as a disposable dog. “Hahh” I sign my bad luck.

Then as I was lamenting my bad luck I noticed that the target Luke Iceheart had exited the inn and started to go towards a deserted alleyway so I started to follow him using my (Shadow merge) skill which lets me merge with my shadow and move secretly.

Let's see now where will I find Luke Iceheart and Miles Ashborn. Hmm also have to make sure that others don't discover that I am a spy of Shadow hall.

Then just as I was acting as if I was looking for an inn I found a kid with white ice like hair with a pretty face and a petite body which could easily make others mistake the boy for a girl.

‘Bingo!’ I thought mentally and immediately said to the others. “Hey guys I just remembered that I have a personal matter to take care of so you guys go ahead”. Then I took off in the direction where the boy went in leaving the others behind.

It looks like I am being followed, that's not good do I use that?. Hmm no I should try to get them off my tail without it as using it will cause way more trouble.

Then I took out a small crystal bead and crushed it in my hand, which temporarily gave me the agility of a lvl.10 ranger and as I felt the addicting feeling of becoming more powerful I started to use my full strength to run at full speed through the maze like deserted alleyways of Ashfall city.

It felt like I was only as heavy as a feather and I felt full of energy and I ran so fast that my mind could barely keep up with the speed at which I was travelling so I just left my body to my instincts.

As I was stealthily following the target, a idiot showed up and started to follow the target as well though he was noticed and the target used a power boost gem which can boost a certain ability to boost his agility and started running away though it looks like it was only a level.10 rangers agility so I who had reached level.20 could still easily follow him through the shadows.

Though it looks like the idiot wasn't as high level as me and it also looks like he wasn't the agility type so he struggled to keep up and was also slowly falling behind.

So I helped the idiot to lose the target by making small obstacles out of the shadows to interrupt him even more, which worked wonderfully and he also didn't discover my presence.

So I kept following the target until his boost gem ran out and then I showed myself to him and spoke. “Hello Luke Iceheart it's a pleasure to meet you though I have an urgent message from the spirit king so do forgive me for any rude behaviour”.

Then the target also replied while holding ten more boost gems between his fingers ready to crush them at any moment. “And what might the urgent message be”. He asked with immense hostility, ready to fight a life and death battle.

“Whoa, whoa calm down I know that I look very scary and suspicious but the urgent message this time is good news and no bad news so stop being so alert as if I will kill you the next moment or something”. Man this kid is seriously gonna at this rate and i don't know the rank of the other boost gems so no need to fight and I wasn't to anyways.

I looked carefully for any other spies hiding in the surroundings but found no one and since the shadow guard which was tailing me showed themselves so openly they are most probably telling the truth so I relaxed a little but I still kept the boost gems between my fingers ready to use them should the need arise and I also have my Trump card at the ready as well so I asked the shadow guard what was the message it has for me.

“Then tell me what the message is?”. It replied after I asked the question. “Well this message isn't only for you so both the recipients need to be present before I can say what the message is, so Miles Ashborn also needs to be present before I can say the message”.

Hmm since it's related to Miles it's probably not even related to the task, so I can put my guard down. “Ok, follow me but first show me the shadow guard ID”. I asked the shadow guard and it pulled out an obsidian black card with no writing on it except for an extremely complicated magic circle in the middle.

Alright looks like this one is the real deal, “Alright then follow me”. I said to the shadow guard and gestured to it to follow me as I started to make my way to the inn where the others were staying.
