Chapter 23: The battle on the fourth floor.

In the dungeon, fourth floor.

The explorer party had finally reached the top of the fourth floor where they encountered the lesser champion monster of this floor, the elder flame salamander who was accompanied with ten other flame salamanders.

Also Lucas, noticing that the explorer party had finally encountered the lesser champion on the fourth floor had started to use his monster champion commander skill to help the lesser champion monster in its fight by giving it some basic commands.

These commands included using the elemental plants and the terrain around it to its advantages and also info on the skills of the adventurers which Lucas had observed them using.

Then as the explorer party grew closer towards the lesser champion monsters group the champion monster commanded its flame salamander subordinates to hide and ambush when the party of challengers was not paying attention.

Then as the explorer party saw the lesser champion monster they immediately got into combat ready state and the members of the party who had ranged skills immediately started using them to attack the lesser champion monster.

Among the ones who attacked were Miles who used his ember stars skill to attack the lesser champion monster and Rebecca who used a new skill she had gained known as (light arrows of judgement) which summoned a barrage of light arrows which flew towards the lesser champion monster at high speed and Robin also attacked using his skill (summon lesser fae) to summon faes who immediately started to attack the enemy using their skills.

The elder flame salamander responded to this ranged attack by covering its entire body in a reinforced lava armour which was able to withstand all of the attacks while it only took a single small crack which also closed up after a couple seconds.

Then just as the elder flame salamander had just finished withstanding the barrage of ranged attacks from three of the adventurers it was attacked by the combined melee attack of Luke and Luna.

Among them Luke used his new skill (frozen armament) to create a great sword which he also strengthened using the skill (ice enchant) and Luna used her skill (shadow step) in conjunction with her skill (shadow edge) to attack the elder flame salamander.

Then even though the elder had reacted as fast as it could it was still too late and thus couldn't stop the two attackers in time and got two small gashes one in the left arm which it used to try and stop the two attackers attacks and the other in the right shoulder.

Then after their attack on the elder flame salamander was successful, the elder flame salamander had tried to slash the two attackers with its claws covered in lava armour but the two attackers had immediately distanced themselves after their attack had succeeded and thus dodged the elder flame salamanders attack.

Then the other three members of the explorer party had joined up with the two members of the party who had attacked and were about to launch an second assault but as they were about to activate their skills to attack the elder flame salamander they were ambushed by the hidden flame salamanders as the explorer party members weren't paying enough attention to anything other than the elemental plants and elder flame salamander.

Then as they were about to react to the unexpected ambush they were attacked by a lump of magma which was thrown at explorer party by the elder flame salamander because of which they couldn't react properly and all of the members of the explorer party suffered varying injuries among which two had been heavily injured by the ambush and two had just gotten light injuries and Rebecca who was in the most defended position just got some light bruises.

Though the explorer party had been able to get out of the encirclement of flame salamanders after killing six flame salamanders, then after getting out Rebecca started to heal Robin and Luke who were the two who had suffered heavy injuries while Luna and Miles who had only suffered some light injuries fought the remaining four flame salamanders and the elder flame salamander.

In the fight Luna used her movement skills to distract the elder flame salamander while Miles fought the remaining four flame salamanders though due to the commands the elder flame salamander had received from Lucas, it didn't get easily distracted and was instead focusing on attacking Rebecca who was currently healing Robin and Luke though it was still not able to get to Rebecca as Luna just used her new skill (shadow manifestation) to manifest shadow shields to protect Rebecca and shadow blades to attack the elder flame salamander.

Then after a while when Luna was starting to falter, Miles had defeated the four flame salamanders and joined the fight against the elder flame salamander and it was not just him as Rebecca had finally finished healing Robin and Luke who also joined the fight against the elder flame salamander.

Then as the odds of victory shifted greatly towards the explorer party by all the party members joining the fight against the elder flame salamander Lucas decided to stop giving commands to the lesser champion monster elder flame salamander, which was defeated after quite a while of intense combat.

“Yahoo! finally we did it, we defeated this giant flame salamander and the other ten flame salamanders who were with it so we have now officially completed the fourth floor.” shouted Miles with great joy.

“Indeed we finally did it and man was this fight a tough one like I almost got killed in the ambush and was only able to survive because of Rebecca.” said Robin who was extremely exhausted and was about to collapse any minute now.

“Yeah let's just quickly finish harvesting this giant flame salamander and the other ten flame salamanders and get the hell out of this hellhole.” said Luke who was also very exhausted and wanted nothing other than to go back to the inn and have a well deserved rest.

After this little chat they all started to harvest the elder flame salamander and the other ten flame salamanders.
