***** Vol.4 Chap.47 Rescued *****
Dr. Rehoton and Dr. Subrahim quietly opened the door. Making sure the coast was clear and with JB in tow, they sneaked out of the back of the hotel and sped away into the traffic.
Once they are out of the DC traffic and crossed the bridge into Virginia, Dr. Rehoton turned to JB.
“I am sorry, but for your protection, we must put you to sleep for the journey as well. I hope you understand.”
Annoyed but knowing this was inevitable, she waved her hand and watched as Dr. Rehoton soaked a gauze from a bottle and handed it to her.
“One sniff and you will be asleep.”
Resigned, she put that up to her nose and was out in no time.
At the next exit, they turned the car around and headed North to New Jersey facing the DC traffic once again.
It was way after midnight when they got close to the PPTSB Headquarters out in the woods.

As usual, they slowed down when approaching the entrance gate of the grounds.
“Strange, no one is manning the gate.” Dr. Rehoton remarked.
“Something did not feel right.” Dr. Subrahim responded.
“Keep on driving.”
They continue to worm their way through the winding road up the hill.
As soon as they rounded the last corner, there in front of them, their entire headquarters was ablaze in fire.
Shocked beyond words, they stopped the car and came out to investigate.
Almost instantly, they were met with a round of gunfire and fell instantly.
A grinning Dr. Schmidtiz poked his face out of the woods and yelled, “All clear.”
Slowly, he waltzed out of the trees to the car. After kicking the two fell men out of the way, he motioned a gunman to take the wheels while he himself attended to JB who was still sleeping soundly at the back seat.
He patted JB on the head.
“You have done very well, JB, in leading us to their headquarters. You had no idea we put a trace inside your shoe so that you can lead us right to their hidden facilities.”
He grasped her hands and patted them again. Gently, he took JB’s pulse and vitals and ascertained that she was unharmed.
“You had done great service to us today. How should we reward you?” A rhetorical question. “But we have one last job for you. So, sleep well till we arrived at our headquarters.”
He then turned to the gunmen, “Let’s go to the nearest community airport.”
Pulling out his cell phone, he gave instructions to the waiting pilot to pick them up at the community airport.
As they drove off, another shadowy figure near the entrance gate nodded and sent a mysterious text on the cell phone.
