TBE Chapter 19
Ezekiel woke up from the pinging sound in his mind which was the result of the Alarm spell being activated. He immediately spent a copper coin to purchase the most powerful battery-operated flashlight he could find at that price range in his system shopping site and turned it on.
He then opened the window to check what activated the Alarm spell and saw a massive creature outside their shack.
Ezekiel flashed the flashlight towards the creature and he saw that it was a bear that was bigger than the bear that he killed and more than likely, it was the mate of that bear that he killed and followed them either through their tracks or scents.
When the flashlight was shined on the massive bear, it gave a roar that woke up Ezekiel’s brothers.
“Don’t worry, it’s just a bear. Possibly the mate of the one I killed. I’ll kill it immediately so just go to sleep,” Ezekiel told the kids but of course, they didn’t follow his instruction and kept looking at him.
The boys stood up and peered at the window to check the bear. They both gasped when they saw how massive the bear was.
Ezekiel cast one Magic Missile and targeted the bear’s neck since he wanted to kill the bear with an intact corpse so he could sell it to the butcher at a higher price. Three glowing missiles came out of hand pointing at the bear and flew unerringly towards the bear’s neck and hit the animal.
The bear roared again but swayed. Look like the three glowing darts gave it massive damage and the animal looked like it would fall anytime soon. Ezekiel didn’t want to wait so he cast another Magic Missile slotted on his cantrip slot and three more glowing darts flew from his hand towards the bear’s neck and this time they heard the bear fall.
The three brothers went out of their shack and Ezekiel’s body was suddenly full of goosebumps at how near the bear was to their door. He was so glad that he took the time to set up the Alarm Spell.
Ezekiel stored the bear in his 4th tab space since that was the best way to determine if the bear was dead. Based on the rules that he had read, he wouldn’t be able to store any living thing inside the 4th tab space.
He cleaned the bear’s blood in the location where it fell using Prestidigitation to avoid attracting any other animals then he refreshed all the spells that he cast before sleeping to make sure that every defensive spell’s duration that they had would start from the beginning then they went back inside their shack and to their bed to go sleep. The kids were asleep immediately and Ezekiel was glad that the boys were confident enough with his power that they felt safe to sleep soundly even though they were just attacked by a massive bear.
The bear’s body almost filled his 4th tab space so he would need to dispose of the bear and the remaining boar from it. Ezekiel was tempted to purchase another cubic meter of 4th tab space but the 4th cubic meter would cost him 20 silver coins so he held off on buying it.
Ezekiel checked his experience bar and it showed that it was 60 percent till he reached level 2. He was sure that the additional experience wasn’t just him killing the bear but possibly a combination of an achievement as well like “Successfully killed the previous bear’s mate” or something like that.
The next day arrived and the three brothers ate the breakfast meal that Ezekiel cooked before which included eggs, bacon, and pancakes completed by a glass of milk spelled to taste like a chocolate milk drink. As usual, they all drank vitamins before eating, and to be honest about it, Ezekiel thought that the vitamins were not necessary anymore but since he already purchased them, might as well drink them.

After breakfast, which was around 7 in the morning, he asked Robert to go to the butcher again so they could take the huge bear away.
“Tell the butcher that the mate of the previous bear came and I killed it using traps.”
Robert just nodded and the kid ran to the village market without waiting for anything more from Ezekiel.
He and Luke went to the forest to where he could lay out the bear and the boar so the moment the butcher and his men arrived, they would be able to take the animals away immediately. While they were waiting, Ezekiel taught Luke how to play using the skipping rope. Apparently, they weren’t using the rope since they didn’t know how to use it. The problem was when Luke attempted it, the rope was too long that the kids weren’t able to successfully complete a skip but the poor kid kept trying anyway, and from the way the boy laughed he was enjoying the attempt anyway.
Soon, Ezekiel heard some noises and knew that Robert, the butcher, and his men arrived so he immediately retrieved the corpse of the bear and the boar from his 4th tab space and laid them on the ground.
Robert arrived first on the scene since the boy was running but the butcher and his men followed soon after leading a cart pulled by a horse.
Just like before when the butcher saw the huge bear they all gasped. They saw that there was even a boar missing its head beside the bear.
“How are you killing these monsters?!” The butcher finally asked looking like he couldn’t help himself.
Ezekiel just smiled and didn’t provide the burly butcher any answer.
“This time I tried to preserve the bear’s head so it should fetch more, right?”
“I’ll pay you 80 silver coins for the two animals,” The butcher said and Ezekiel simply nodded.
The butcher and his men loaded the animals into their cart and had a very difficult time since the bear was extremely heavy but soon the butcher and his men were leaving happily carrying the huge bear and the boar.
Ezekiel and his brothers then went to their shack. To celebrate, he spent 2 copper coins and purchased pizza from his system shopping site as well as a liter of soda. They enjoyed the delicious food and his younger brothers kept yelling about how delicious pizza was and he agreed with them.
Ezekiel had a problem though. The trash from the packaging of the things that he purchased from his system shopping site was beginning to accumulate so he searched for information on how to get rid of them. He didn’t want to pollute this world with items from his system and besides the items from Earth could be considered alien materials.
He found the solution. The trash bin icon in the shopping site was actually the place where he could put all the items that he purchased from the system shipping page that he wanted to discard. He would just need to drag the item from his 4th tab space to the trash bin and the item would disappear. If the item purchased was bigger than his 4th tab space, he could still mentally drag the purchased item towards the trash bin icon while his system panel was open.
Of course, he could only discard items from his system and nothing else. Looking at the current funds that he had, Ezekiel was a bit happy since he now had a total of 2 gold, 29 silver, and 20 plus copper coins.
Since his brothers looked like they were rested, Ezekiel told them that they would go inside the forest next. He told them that they could ride the magic floating thingy so they wouldn’t even get tired and the boys cheered.
Ezekiel then cast Mage Armor on all of them to make sure that they were defended from any surprises. Then he cast Tenser’s Floating Disk and the boys immediately climbed it. Then after all his spell’s cooldowns were over, he put Magic Missile on the 1st level slot and three of the cantrip slots then put Prestidigitation on the cantrip slot that was left.
When the disk was about to expire, Ezekiel swapped the Magic Missile in the 1st level slot with Tenser Floating Disk, refreshed the spell, and put the Magic Missile back again then they continued traveling.
They encountered a boar that Ezekiel immediately killed and stored in his 4th tab space. He checked his experience bar and saw that it increased to 65 percent to reach level 2. The three brothers continued traveling. When they reached the third hour, they stopped to eat and after that, Ezekiel refreshed the Mage Armors on their bodies and the Tenser Floating Disk but his time he put Magic Missile on all cantrip slots and put the Sleep spell on the 1st level slot.
Ezekiel saw that it was already around 3 in the afternoon which meant that even if they returned now, it would probably sunset before they arrived home.
While they were traveling back, Anton was ambushed by a huge snake. He was so happy that his Mage Armor blocked the snake’s attack and he killed it but because of his panic, he cast three Magic Missiles at once causing the snake to be full of holes so they just left the snake's corpse behind. The snake did earn him another 5 percent experience though and was happy that aggressive animals were giving him a huge amount of experience points. His total experience point was now 70 percent till he reached level 2.
