Ye Tian was holding onto his broken ribcage while waking soulessly. Where he intended to go, no one knew, not even himself. One thing that kept him draggin his feet, was the fact that something caused him to be in a world of his own, thinking intensely about something only he probably knw about. His blood didn't stop, it continued to drip leaving a trail of blood wherever he passed by.
Bummm!
Just at the corner of the intersection of a small street, Ye Tian bumped into someone. The fact that he never looked ahead wherever he was going was only the partial cause of this. The specific area was indeed a place where blindsided could occur for anyone. Who he bumbed into, he wouldn't know, but looking up ahead momentarily, he could see the most mesmerizing young woman he's ever seen. She also seemed to be around the same age as Ye Tian. Her beautiful face matched with the white gown she wore, embroidered with purple patterns of flames. A sheet of cloth was covering her head form the rain.
The young woman stepped a few steps backwards caused by the impact, while looking at Ye Tian. She could clearly see Ye Tian was bloodied and obviously in a really bad condition. Ye Tian just looked at her for a breath of time without apologizing before continuing walking ahead soullessly. Just as he was about to walk past her, the young woman’s interspatial ring blinked a few times. Some items came out of the ring where she whispered a little spell that caused the items to fly and stick onto Ye Tian's back. Ye Tian was throughouly distracted the whole time without noticing something was on his back as he continued limping forward.
The young woman stared at Ye Tian’s back with sorrowful eyes. It almost seemed like she knew what happened. She did not know why she kept staring at him, but the moment Ye Tian disappeared, the young woman also closed her eyes for a moment before walking again towards the opposite direction.
Ye Tian did not go back to Internal Healing Garden or to his home. Along the way, he found a shelter where he sat down with his head down. It was not until the next morning where he finally raised his head. His eyes was burning filled with determination, it almost felt like he gained enlightenment on the road he should walk next. Although he was walking soullessly after the humiliation the Xi clan gave him, he had a lot on his mind, such as the battle that happened in the village, his father and mother dying in front of him, the children, and his sisters. He found some solutions to some of his problems but not all of them. This frustration was not something he could solve with ease, but he knew he needed to initate his plan soon.
PLOPPP!
Something fell. He searched around and found there were some nice looking stuff behind him. He didn’t bother to look at it further and put all the stuff inside his interspatial ring. The little spell whispered by that young lady eventually worned off, causing the items to drop.
In the morning, the market was bustling with plenty of vendors and buyers. The market was big and it would take a few hours to see through all the stores. Ye Tian was able to buy some scrolls and ingredients along the way. He found a little street that was mostly empty, which he thought would be one of the exit areas from the market. He went through the little street and saw something eye-catching. It was a sign that wrote “Forgetfulness Potion.” He pondered for a while and asked the vendor lady if this potion is the real deal.
“Try it yourself if you don’t believe me,” the vendor lady smiled wickedly.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
“How can you guarantee that this potion work without trying it myself?”
“Try it on somebody else.” the lady shrugged.
Ye Tian was a bit indecisive and was about to leave, until the lady spoke again.
“The potion effects last for 10 years. After that it’s up to the person whether he can remember anything or not. But I guarantee when the person takes this potion, they won’t remember a thing. In fact, this potion is powerful enough to alter someone's memories. If it doesn’t work, come back here and I will offer you my most valuable treasure for free,” the old lady offered.
“What’s your most valuable treasure?,” Ye Tian countered with some intrigued now. Free stuff was always intriguing.
“A sword. A long time ago, a demon held this sword, massacaring hundreds of thousands of people in a war, and those who had died by this sword, their souls would be refined to enhance the sword. With the boost in strength, it could probably kill an immortal by now,” the old lady proudly said.
However, Ye Tian wasn't interested in a blood-sucking weapon, fearing that someday he would also become a blood-sucking demon if he couldn't control the sword.
“How about I choose for myself?,” Ye Tian offered.
“Go ahead and choose. You don’t know what’s good in front of your eyes,” the lady complained.
Ye Tian carefully scanned throughout the store and found a black outfit. He asked, “What is this?”
“Not too sure, but my ancestors told me a legendary thief wore this before he was killed. I assumed it’s something really good, but nobody has figured out what exactly this outfit does.”
Ye Tian always had a really sharp instinct, and he felt this outfit could be a great help to him someday. He decided to gamble not afraid of choosing the wrong stuff.
“I choose this outfit.” Ye Tian said.
“Hahaha, that outfit has been with my ancestors and nobody could figure out what it does. I think it’s just a regular outfit. Whatever, I can give that to you now as long as you pay for these potions.”
Ye Tian glady acceptd the offer and left. With Ye Tian already in a far distance, the oldy lady quietly whispered, “The person who uses this potion on someone else, then that person will be cursed throughout his life! Hehehe.”
After exiting the market area, Ye Tian traveled throught many areas. He was observing the people, the buildings, and the conditions of each area and marked a few dots in his map. He did this throughout the whole day until late evening. The map now had several dots but what was it for?
Ye Tian went back to the shelter to draw up his plan. He needed to execute the plan as soon as possible before trouble comes again. He knew that young master Xi wouldn’t let this issue go. A spoiled brat always gets his way and won’t stop at anything to achieve his goals. This was the first lesson he learned after coming out to the real word without the villagers protection.
Ye Tian also created some healing potion and a couple of poison from the ingredients he bought earlier. He took one of the healing potion before he resumed to cultivating.
Some time passed by, Ye Tian finally remembered the stuff he stored inside his storage ring earlier and took it out. It turned out that these "stuffs" were actually high grade healing potion! He tried to remember where he got this from, but only an image of a young woman appeared in his mind. He concluded that these potions came from her, but unfortunately he never got a clear look of the young woman’s face. Nevertheless, he was thankful that there were still kind-hearted people in this city. He reminded himself that if they were to meet again, he would return these potions and thank her for her generosity.
The healing potion worked overtime and improved Ye Tian’s condition to 90%. Only the broken rib cage needed some time to heal. He could’ve used the high grade healing potion, but he decided not to use it in case of emergency. His eyes shined with signs of hope as tomorrow would be the day his plan would be initiated!
