There were still a couple of days left until the bazaar event. The following day, Ye Tian continued his ‘practice session’ with Ma Qian and Song Han, because they still didn’t recognize who Ye Tian was. Lin Yang continued to work till late at night, and Xiang Jiao was seen cultivating while cautiously staring at Ye Tian from time to time. Extreme hatred ran deep among Ma Qian and Song Han until they got knocked out again. They had no idea why they had to have this practice session, it's more like getting bullied and beaten every single time they fought! Later that night, Lin Yang finally came home, tired and confused.
“What’s the matter with you?” Ye Tian asked.
“….Not to sure. For some reason, I don’t feel as good as I did when I started working for the family. It’s weird….” Lin Yang couldn’tanswer clearly. Even he couldn't figure out what's wrong with him.
“Why don’t you ask Ms. Wang Rong. You might have a better idea.”
“You might be right. I’ll go there when I have the time. By the way, why are these two always sleeping?”
Ye Tian did not respond but could only smile devilishly, because he didn’t want to tell the truth until the experiment was over. Xiang Jiao was on full alert focusing on his hearing, first he wanted to find out why those idiots were acting weirdly these past couple of days; second, he feared that the next person would be him being beaten. In the end, he still couldn’t find any clues.
The next morning, Ye Tian was preparing to continue his ‘beating marathon’ until Ma Qian said something after he woke up.
“Ye Tian, what happened last night? Why am I so bruised up? I can’t remember…” Ma Qian asked.
A short while later, Song Han also woke up and asked the same thing. They both touched their faces and bodies, each touch felt like a stinging pain from a bee.
“You remember me? Tschhhh…. You guys were fighting against each other.”
With the potion effect finaly worn off, his mood became dark and depressing again after the short-lived fun he had the past couple of days. His version of the forgetful potion only lasted two days. He needed to extend the duration of the potion to be really useful when the time is necessary to use it. With a new idea on his mind, the rare herbs he recently collected from the ancient fortress ruin might help in concocting stronger potions in the future, so he started experimenting again ignoring the rest of group.
Xiang Jiao, on the other hand, finally concluded that the potion was related to the memory loss of those idiots but he wasn’t 100% sure. If his guess was true, then he would be extremely disappointed at a loss opportunity to beat them. It would be one of the rare times he could only shake his head for being too passive the past couple of days. Unfortunately, Ma Qian and Song Han looked at each other with a new hatred flowing in their blood, but they didn’t dare to provoke each other at this moment.
Ling Yang continued his work as a bodyguard although there really was no protection needed. He was with Pi Pi at one of the family’s business stronghold. Pi Pi had introduced one of her managers named, Li On, a young man similar to his age who never withdrew his shady smile. Lin Yang was glad to befriend such a young man who had great ambitions to become a rich man someday. Pi Pi asked Lin Yang to help Li On with one of the projects instead of doing bodyguard duties. He was excited because he had some experiences in doing business for his family back then.
“Li On, how did you meet Pi Pi?”
“Our father knew each other since they were children, so I started working here as a manager.”
“Oh, you became a manager right away without any experience?”
“Haha, I’m confident in my abilities. By the way, can you get this done by the evening? I need to get somethings done first.”

“Hmm ok, but are you sure you don’t want to use the team’s suggestion? It’s been proven to work before.”
“No, this one will work also.”
Lin Yang didn’t mind getting told what to do. He wasn’t as cocky as he was before when he had everything. He had to work late at night again, but not because of bodyguard duties. Along the way, he met Pi Pi again with Li On sitting besides her.
“Lin Yang, what is your goal in life? What do you want to do?” Pipi asked.
“That…I’m not too sure myself. Although zoids can help me with my financial problems, I’m more focused on being happy.”
“If you don’t have big ambitions, then you will never become a great man,” Pi Pi gave a word of advice.
“Hahaha, you might be right…..” Lin Yang replied. He didn’t really know what to say with such philosophical questions about life and success.
The night ended with Lin Yang thinking deeply about his future and life, how motivation and ambition can lead to success. He felt ashamed that there were people as young as him who had much higher ambitions than him.
The next day, Ma Qian and Song Han were ordered to set up a stall at the bazaar. With Song Han, who could seamlessly talk forever, the crew believed there was no way they would be on the losing side of the negotiation. They had already chose on which armors and weapons that they would sell at this bazaar, including the old armors Ma Qian and Xiang Jiao bought recently with all the zoids they spent carelessly from the rewards of their first few missions. The armors they wore now was far superior, accompanied with additional affects, such as hiding one’s cultivation base, or increasing one’s defense that could withstand a hit from a peak infinite dao fighter.
Lin Yang came back to work as usual, but he arrived at an awkward time where Pi Pi was criticized by her parents.
“How could you lose all that money. If you don’t have the talent for business, don’t keep talking big and keep making promises that you can’t deliver.”
“It’s not my fault dad, my assistants were useless, and these partners of ours never agree to my suggestions.”
“Next time, have your younger brother to help you.”
The parents sighed. They didn’t want to criticize her too much because only they knew that despite her confident and talkative behavior, their own daughter had a low self-esteem. No one wanted to look like a fool, and afraid of being suspected as one, she would talk often and take the opportunity to impress others.
“Miss Pi Pi, are you alright,” Lin Yang asked. He tried to console her as she appeared stressful with her current responsibilities. Just at this time, Li On also appeared out of nowhere.
“Oh, Lin Yang, just the person I wanted to speak with. Have you thought about your goals?”
“Hmmm, I’ve thought about it, but haven’t conclude anything yet. Like I previously mentioned, zoids are important but not the most important for me. I want to live a happy life and if that means I have not achieved more than others, I’m okay with it.”
“Well, I’m only trying to help you. It’s your life,” she said looking disappointed. Li On, on the hand, still had that shady smile on his face.
“Sister, how about we have him help us with one of our projects,” Li on said to Pi Pi. He regarded her as a sister although there is no blood relation between them.
“How about you? What’s your goal?” Lin Yang suddenly asked.
“Mine? My goal is to help my dad and mom, so that they can retire well,” Pi Pi replied.
“And how are you going to do that?”
“I’m not sure. Do you have any ideas? I’m trying to get my partners to listen to me but they never agree with my suggestions.”
“Well, I guess it takes some time for them to acknowledge you. Have you proposed your plan to them in details and provide some solutions to their concerns?”
“No, I just know the goal. I have my assistants and managers come up with the plan.”
“I think you should get more involved with the plans. Give them more ideas on what your vision is like so they can understand how to come up with a better plan.”
“No, I don’t agree, their job is to get things done. No excuses. But every time they come up with a plan, I’m disappointed with their lack of ability and results.”
Lin Yang had no more words to say. He didn’t want to get involved in such matter as the new guy in the block. Meanwhile, he could see Li On was still smiling and giving Pi Pi a boost of confidence through his way of talking. Lin Yang left the scene and continued doing his job by himself. For whatever reason, he started becoming uncomfortable, especially having Li On and Pi Pi asking him questions about life and ambitions, and in many ways, he could sense that they were mocking him at times.
