The first day of the bazaar immediately heated up with Song Han and Ma Qian almost getting into fights with the customers. Song Han was by far the worst with his lack of negotiation skills, but makes it up with his ability to bullshit.
“You’re crazy setting up prices this high.” one customer said.
“What? Screw you cheap ass! This golden armor cost more than your pitiful life,” Song Han retaliated.
“All of our items have been appraised by the guild, and the quality of most of our products are rated four out of five stars,” Ma Qian explained with a more diplomatic tone, giving customers more assurance to the credibility of their products.
“Pschhhh, your asking price is too high!”
“Fine then, I’ll offer you 199,999 zoids.”
“What? You only gave me a one zoid discount, cheapskate.”
“Suck it whore! If you want to wear an amazing armor, you need to be amazing yourself. Go back and suck on your dad’s titties or…..Man up and pay up!”
Song Han was truly excessive with his words never backing down from any negotiation. His way of negotiation was a double-edge sword. Some customers would give in and pay, other times he would be making enemies without realizing it. Ma Qian was a bit more passive with his approach, but from time to time, excitement got the better of him which intensified the situation at times in dealing with tough customers.
An elder of the guild who was in charge of the bazaar, stood behind the scene shaking his head at these two new young vendors that he’s never seen before.
“Wang Rong, do you know these two?”
“Yes elder, they are within the same group with Ye Tian.
“Ye Tian! Really?”
“It’s true. I’ve registered both of them personally. Although their behavior are a bit excessive, their talents are among the best I’ve seen.”
“Hmmmm, for every family clan, there are always a few members that most people are embarrassed to have,” the elder sighed. No family is perfect. There is always that black sheep, or an outcast, or a bad apple within every family clan or sects that he has seen.
By now, most of the important elders of the guild knew who Ye Tian was, who became the only SS rank member in this era. His identity was only disclosed to trusted and loyal members of the guild. And the fact that Ye Tian was evaluated by the chief and the grand elders made it more acceptable for the other elders. No one would doubt their judgment. After watching a recorded film of his exam, they genuinely admitted that Ye Tian's skills were like in the legends told in every tales. Even some of the grand elders have watched all the films of his companions, such as Xiang Jiao, Ma Qian, and Lin Yang, nodding in approval of their amazing talents and abilities. They felt Ye Tian’s group would become a very powerful force, and hopefully a powerful ally in the near future.
Back at the bazaar, Song Han finally met his match during a negotiation. The customer rarely cursed, but his responses were so unique, it put Song Han on the edge constantly. Both were sweating like crazy after a heated negotiation with neither giving up their offer. The problem eventually couldn’t be solved because their negotiation jumped from one topic to another and never came back to the original negotiation.
“You hairy bastard. If you weren’t so hairy I would’ve introduced you to some women…. Or maybe you like men better?” the customer argued.
“What? Just because I like both doesn’t mean shit. Pschhhh…..Unlike YOUUUUU, I don’t discriminate!”
“heh,” the customer snorted.
“hehhhh,” Song Han countered with a longer-lasting snort.
“hehhhhhhhh.”
“hehhhhhhhhhhhhhh.”
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
“hehhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHH”
‘HEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,” Song Han gave it his all with his last snor. His entire face turned red, lacking oxygen from his last snort, and desperately grasping for another breath.
The customer leaned on one of the tables, sweat was dripping all over his face with the look of shame. He finally couldn’t outdo such a childish act, as he quickly left the scene in embarrassment. After winning the battle, Song Han was quite proud of himself even though he was breathing really hard. Ma Qian didn’t bother to pay attention to him as he was busy negotiating prices with other customers.
“I will give you a fair price, 95,000,” Ma Qian whispered to one of the customers.
“Too expensive, how about 70,000?”
“What? You crazy? I won’t have anything to eat if I sell it to you at this price.”
The customer was about to leave until Ma Qian made another offer again, showing a face of that look defeated.
“Okay, okay fine, 90,000. That’s the lowest I can go.”
“Deal.”
Ma Qian lost 5,000 but the estimated value by the appraiser was actually at 80,000 zoids. Ripping people off gave Ma Qian a sense of joy considering that he had to be with Song Han the whole day. They still planned on beating each other, as this was on their revenge to-do list instigated by Ye Tian. The first night of the bazaar ended lively, especially for Song Han and Ma Qian. They ended up selling quite a few treasures, but they had to give the zoids card to the guild until the bazaar ended for safekeeping and to audit all the transactions.
Back inside the cave, everyone was surprised when Xiang Jiao asked Ye Tian for a practice session, in which only he could attack and Ye Tian could never counter him back. Using his newly learned skill, an image of a huge demon appeared above Xiang Jiao roaring towards Ye Tian, but it easily was blown away by Ye Tian’s aura. However, when the head of the demon was destroyed, another image of a crimson chain appeared. It has been hiding within the demon's head, ready to strike at any moment. Although Ye Tian was surprised by the hidden attack, he quickly retreated. The chain didn’t stop after its first attack missed its target, instead, continuing to chase after Ye Tian.
Suddenly, twin water dragons appeared, surrounding Ye Tian's fist as it moved to strike back at the chain.
“Invade.”
The twin dragons started eating the chain rapidly until it nearly reached the summoner of the chain, Xiang Jiao, before disappearing into thin air. The destruction of th demons head and the crimson chain affected Xiang Jiao's Qi, causing him to spit out blood. Although he lost, it gave him some useful insights. He knew he still needed to strengthen the demon's image attack that could viciously penetrate the opponent’s defensive layers. His hidden chains also needed to strike faster when the demon image can no longer do further damage. He went back to his cultivating pose, recalling every detail of what had happened during the practice session that could further his insights to this new skill he learned.
Wang Rong visited the cave that night. She told Ye Tian that there will be a huge competition at the peak of the legendary mountain near the Min kingdom. Many of the noble families and famous sects will come from all over the world to seek experience, where the winner could take an extremely rare magical treasure. The competition was held every 100 years with the winner taking a priceless treasure, that's why most people called this mountain the “treasure mountain.”
“Ye Tian, since this competition has a limit age of 25 and under, I think you guys will have a good chance of winning the magical treasure. Even though we don't know what kind of magical treasure it will offer, past winners have considered their treasure as a life-changing experienced that will benefit their cultivation greatly.
“Who controls the mountain?”
“This…we don’t know. We assumed it’s a mysterious existence. Even past winners have never met its owner. Whenever the event is coming soon, invitation cards are sent throughout the world to powerful families, sects, kingdoms, and empires.”
“If the treasures are so heaven-defying, why didn’t powerful figures and their kingdoms tried to control the mountain instead?”
“Hahaha, severa armiesl have tried to invade the mountain…… but all of them were wiped out.”
“When does it start?”
“A couple of days after the bazaar event, I will bring you there if you’re interested.”
“Hmmmm, alright I’ll let you know when the time comes.”
Before Wang Rong left, Lin Yang came home just in time to ask her about the Cen family.
“Ms. Wang Rong, I did not quite understand what you mean back then about the Cen family.”
“Lin Yang, I have only heard things about them from my colleagues. One thing for certain is that the family has a very high turnover rate. Many of their bodyguards or employees ended up quitting for various reasons. Just be more cautious.”
After Wang Rong left, Ma Qian told Lin Yang to relax.
“Lin Yang, just quit man. We’re going to make lots of zoids from selling these treasures at the bazaar. We’ve already sold quite a few in the first day.”
“I’ll try to give it a couple more days just to be sure.”
“Pschhh, just trying to help you out. You look like crap ever since you started working for that family.”
“Hahaha, look who’s talking. You didn’t fare any better getting your ass kicked.”
“You…. damn punk! I was just trying to help, you baby face brat!”
