Chapter Thirty One: The Auction 2

Chapter Thirty One: The Auction 2

Destiny was frantic, she had searched over a hundred thousand Cities and ancient ruins. Completely unseen by the powerful beasts and creatures living in them. She used her powerful Soul sense to search. And with heavy concentration she still hadn't found it. "It will be there." She mumbled to herself feeling like she was going crazy. Her family was in danger, the whole world of Primeway was in danger. But her Two counterparts were no help. Doom didn't even Care he actually wanted this disaster to come. And Fortune was such a pessimist, she acted like there was no hope. But there had to be hope, there had to be a way to save everyone, to stop whatever it was that was coming. Destiny was doing her absolute best to find that way instead of just sitting around waiting for the end like the others. She had gone over ancient texts, learned the history of some of the most powerful Families from millions of years ago. Looking for anything that might help anything that could in some small way protect the world. S grade heavenly treasures, Power beacons, Otherworldly knowledge. but she had come up mostly empty, only finding treasures that wouldn’t be useful against a threat the heavens couldn’t even stop. Still, after a year without rest a light did shine at the end of her tunnel. She had found a degraded hundreds of Millions of years old Journal of a dying man. He had been a powerhouse in his family and had been given a Heavenly rune in the Heavenly grade Treasure land his family owned, heavenly runes appeared on the world once every billion years or so and always with great power behind them. They usually came from a treasure land, but a few had appeared in random unsuspecting places on primeway. These Great runes were a mystery, and they seamed to be made out of the very laws of heaven unbreakable and infinitely profound. any being that found a heavenly rune, no matter how powerful they already were would always grow in folds of strength by using one. This heavenly rune mentioned in the journal Destiny had, was very unique as it was meant to be used on a person’s physical body most were to be used to make above S grade treasures as that was much more safe and stable and only one or two of the handful that had been found in the world were made for personal use. But before the man who found it could use it, A powerful Corrupted soul had mortally wounded him and taken the rune for himself. The unlucky man had survived long enough to see the Corrupted soul seal the Rune away in a Locked chest and teleport it to who knows where, then he passed away two weeks later for his wounds. The corrupted soul had then been hunted down by the Family and killed like a dog. The rune he stole was never seen again. Corrupted souls were Crazy, and insane. They acted without thought or caring, and always looked for the greatest way to cause harm. Destiny had no idea where the Crazy Channeler could have hid this Rune, but if she could find it she could try her original plan again, This time without Doom's stupid help. She could give the rune to an Acolyte of her long standing family from the past. the strongest acolyte they had, and increase his power to tremendous levels to defend the world. But Finding this rune would not be easy, she wasn’t the only being that had gone looking for it in history. Her only clue was that the corrupted soul lived in a city on the Geo Continent. So she would search every city. It might take her a hundred years, but it was all she could do. And doing something, anything, was better than doing nothing.

Doom sat in his palace, a place he had personally created inside a mountain in the Deadliest part of the Chaos continent. It was dark and gloomy, just like his soul he thought. He was never happy, never satisfied, not since that Bastard Spirit Giving Dragon had chosen him to be The Embodiment of doom After everything he'd been through. his hard life, His lonely days working to become a powerful Channeler, His death in a fight between the Gods, their fists making shock waves not even an Avatar Channeler could live through. He had almost ascended into the heavens, he only had a single year left on his acolyte contract. And then… His parted soul had been stopped from reincarnation after his death, and forced into this position. It was a horrible position, causing Doom on other men’s lives. Choosing who was to befall misfortune to keep the so called balance of the world. But after such a long time of doing it day in and day out Doom had become callus to it. He didn't care anymore, he didn't care about anything at all. But he thought maybe that could change when the Calamity struck. Maybe with his Ugly job Finished and all men doomed already, he could find some purpose some goal moving forward. He grinned maliciously, all he had to do was sit back and wait. This calamity would come all on it’s own he didn’t even have to lift a finger to help it. and after such a long time on this Forsaken World the one thing he was good at was waiting. He drank a glass of nectar leaned back in his beautiful Ash wood Throne and thought about the Life he wished he had.

While the other Two embodiments were off wasting their time somewhere Fourtune was busy. Busy watching a youth change her entire view on the world and what was possible. She had never left his side since that night over a year ago and since then Was growing more and more jealous of this Man every day. But also more and more Akin to him and his ability to take risks even she would stark at if she was still mortal. He had such powers and luck that if the world knew he existed they wouldn't know what to believe in anymore and would scratch the word Fair play out of their dictionaries forever. Fortune thought of telling the others but scoffed at the idea entirely, if she told her counterparts who knows how those two fools would mess this beautiful life up. and she also didn't dare leave the Incredible sight she was watching unfold for even the small moment it would take to locate the others. They would have to hear about it later if she ever go the chance to tell them. Right now just thinking about the two getting involved gave her shivers. Destiny always acted when she felt Like the political world was going in a bad direction, but she was too rash to act. Not even waiting a second to use her power, and never waiting for proof that things would have an undesirable turn out before jumping in. She just couldn't help herself and wasted her power on whims and folly. Doom was no better, with his Dark sense of Humor and no heart to speak of. He tried to be as horrible at his job as he could be, purposely using his powers on nothing important, and sometimes singling out poor souls to torture with his doom Just because he was jealous of them or didn’t like them. Fortune thought both were pure breed retards. They had been given great powers and infinite lifespans, but never learned with the passage of time, or changed with the years. Fortune had used every possible moment she could to learn about the world, about the beasts and Channelers in it. About the wisdom and foolishness written down in ages past. She thought on greater moral issues, on why the universe was even here. Sometimes in disguise she would even seek out well known sages and have long talks with them about the secrets of life. She’d been doing so since time Immemorial and her wisdom was on par with any of those great sages, if not for natural talent then only because of the effort she put in. When she used Her powers, they were used to influence very pacific people, the kind that wanted to learn, The ones that prepared well, and the wise. These men and women always influenced the world in some way or another, in her opinion making it a better place by simply living on primeway. How could a wise man not make the world better if he was given the chance. There was also one other thing she looked for on human kind, the willingness to take risk. The power of fortune and good luck was almost useless on recluses and worry warts who never rolled the dice. So it would be a waste of her potential to help them. As she Watched Gabe she wondered why she had never heard of this man before or known of him. He was her type. handsome, deadly smart, and adventurous. If he had ever made it into her knowledge she would have at least done something to help his plight. Now he was already set up to become the most powerful Channeler in Primeway’s history and that was without her power helping him along. She sighed as she continued to watch Gabe’s story unfold, fully wrapped up in his life. And wishing she was the one who had so much natural luck when she was alive.

The head of the Greenwood family, Toka, was very concerned. Everything her forefathers had built up for generations was being threatened. She'd just received reports that The Burning-Heart League was doing more then the Family had first realized. All of the Greenwood family's allies, Families they had been on good terms with for Millions of years, since Toka was a little girl were pulling back from supporting them in haste. The Burning-Heart League was Threatening them, apparently with an S grade Heavenly Treasure that no’one would speak about. So far the Greenwood family didn't know what the S grade Heavenly Treasure was, or what it could do. But if it was scaring away Their allies so completely and so fast then they were in deep trouble here. Leagues like Burning-heart were Smaller then Families, but much more powerful. Having congregations of the most Talented Channelers in the world all taught by the strongest of Masters, the Channelers that were Brought up in Leagues were also often Incredibly loyal, especially those who had no family backing and were taken in as children. The Burning-Heart League itself was run by a Counsel of Diety Realm Channelers. The majority of These Channelers were strong powerful Men and women who had Grown to their full potential because the league took them in and Were contracted to stay for millennia to protect and build. If the Greenwood family was Going to Challenge them they would need the help of other Families, otherwise they would be crushed, especially after the last war had already weakened their numbers. But the other powers they would have relied on, even the other Leagues The Greenwood family were Involved with were backing out of the fray like a flock of spooked birds flying away from a loud noise. All this and the concerning actions of the Golden-Chaos family who was scouring the Farming cities in every region put all of the Greenwood higher ups on edge. And kept them all wondering if these bad omens were signaling the start of something they wouldn’t be able to finish. No’one was slaking or sleeping on the job while trying to keep the Greenwood family name above water.

Gabe sat beside Seygo in the Highest Private room of the auction house blissfully unaware of all the others in the world, especially the hidden embodiment of Fortune standing in the corner with her arms crossed watching the way he held Seygo’s hand. The Room was wide and walled off from other Bidders, with a dozen seats looking out over the Balcony. The auction house was huge circle of a building, almost like a stadium. With a stage in the very center and seats stacked up around it for common folk, balconies stretched out high above those seats and were all reserved. The one Gabe was now in was even higher then most, kept only for members of the Greenwood family since this was a Grrenwood city. The entire Auction was at full capacity today as thousands of visitors from other families and leagues had Flown in just to bid on the high grade rare treasures being auctioned here. The Greenwood family had been contacted by several unnamed Channelers and craftsmen who possessed Treasures they wanted to sell, treasures that were almost never put on the open market. Rare items, and secret designs. These people were those who had a close relationship with the Greenwood family and knew they would not be cheated or pressured by such an upstanding family. The Greenwoods had not even tried to buy these treasures for themselves at a bargain but had offered to host this auction at only a small fee. A much smaller fee than other families or auctions would have charged.

Gabe held back a smile seeing some of these priceless items sell down below, they were very similar to some of the items he now owned in Sisfar's Treasure Store. Sisfar the great thief. "I hope you brought your whole life savings Gabriel, because Nothing here is going to go for less then ten thousand gold." Matthew told him, sitting a few seats to his right. It was only Him, Matthew, Seygo, and Malner in the whole room, the rest of the Family ether too young or too busy to be here. With Gabe and Seygo sitting directly in the middle the two other men sat to the Right and left a few seats away giving the couple room. "Oh I don't plan to buy anything, but Malner does." He looked at Malner who nodded with a smile. Malner was beginning to like his new master, the man was smart and daring, and had more talent then he'd ever heard of anyone else having in all his life. Gabe had shown him proof of what he could do Undeniable proof. It was Breath taking to see all those soul beasts come from one Channeler. "Then why did you even come?" Seygo said, looking at him with squinted eyes her hand still very entangled in his. Gabe smiled at her. "I knew you would come with me if I asked." She turned away quickly before she blushed again not even knowing why she asked the question anymore. He was being so open now with his advances. For months all they did was train together and talk like friends and then he comes back from His trip and is completely unafraid to declare his intentions. She wasn't prepared for it, her own actions since then were just as baffling to her, since when did she blush? Or turn away her eyes? Why couldn’t she control herself? It was beyond frustrating to her as she just stared at the auction below. Her hand being held by the cause of her stirred mind, but her body refusing to pull it away even at her command.

"I will try not to bid you Up Malner." Matthew said across the room. "But I really want that Bottled Avatar Imp essence." The Auction was selling a full list of extremely Rare treasures and beasts, but there were some that stuck out as exceptional even among the rest. These were the treasures that brought so many powerhouses to travel all the way here, and even Gabe wanted some of them. One was the Bottled Imp essence. Essence was the left over life force of a dead Best or Channeler, and was made of very Special Perfect energy without any imperfection. There were several different types of essences, Drops, Bottled, and captured. Each one was a different amount, and had a much higher potency then the last. Essence could be absorbed directly into the soul without corrupting it and would Have varied effects for different Element Channelers with different Beasts many of the effects were actually uncharted and unknown for Channelers with different beasts but all of the effects known so far would only bring great benefit to the soul. Imp essence was known in particular to be very good for Those with Demon Soul-Beasts and would increase their Demon's ability to purify Spirit energy. This could help a Channeler like Matthew to no small degree and was almost to be compared with a low form of beast strengthening pill. Gabe sent a mental message to Malner and the Bearded man smiled at Matthew. "No my friend, I have no need for the essence. Is that all you are here for?" Matthew nodded respectfully. “Yes, my family has put a few acolytes in the crowd to buy the other things they have taken note of. But none of it is important to them, especially at this point in time when they don’t feel comfortable spending too much wealth. the essence is all I want I don’t plan to bid on anything else.” Malner smiled and they all watched the auction below with great interest to see the large sums of money being swung around and the rare Treasures passing hands to all kinds of different people.

Some of The other notable Treasures on the list that Gabe was planning to try and get were a Golden Sun pebble, a treasure that When touched to Someone's soul would create a permanent Soul rune that would allow them to enslave one extra Beast with their mind. Enslaving beasts was extremely difficult and took Mental power, each beast you enslaved added to the mental power it took to keep them under control the more powerful the beast the more mental energy it took. Most if not all Master Chanelers had at least one Enslaved beast as a trump card, which was usually kept in a Special made pouch and hidden on their being for dangerous situations. The slave Rune was a difficult Thing to both Draw and brake, but plenty of Masters did it. No beast stronger then the Channeler could be enslaved however, so they were only ever a help in an even fight, or in a pinch. Sometimes they were just used as fodder for a speedy get away.

Another treasure they were auctioning off was a Dark Inferno Candle. This was the candle that would allow a dark element channeler to Gain the highest Form of Dark fire, Dark Inferno Fire. It was extremely rare and desirable, as Dark inferno fire was Many times stronger then all other forms of Dark fire, and was necessary for a talented Darkness Element Channeler to become a true master of his craft. There were plenty of Channelers who had come from many different places just for this Treasure. Since usually when one of these rare candles was found it was kept by the family that owned the treasure land and not put for sale at all. Where this one had come from no’one knew, but it was a boon for Gabe. Less than a year ago he had wondered what he could do with a more powerful Dark flame candle. And now that he had the money to find out one was delivered to his door step post haste. If he bought nothing else from this auction, this candle would be his. The entire bag of money Malner held with him was staked on it.

This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it

The other handful of Notable Treasures that Gabe wouldn’t mind having but wasn’t too concerned about were a High grade Giant's tear less than the one Gabe owned now but still worth a mint and rare to see auctioned up just for money, now that he had two servants with him another Giant’s tear would come in handy. also Rare Poison move Seal that when devoured would instantly teach a high level poison Move without any training, this one was valued the least among the top treasures here even though it was a good find simply because the poison element got no respect from other Channelers.

Gabe also had his eye on the Second fright Orb that would amplify a Fear channelers channeling strength ten fold when he Absorbed its energy into his fear element soul beast. Gabe wanted all of the Treasures, but would allow Matthew to Buy the Imp essence, and maybe let the Giant’s tear go as well since he did already have two and they would not be as useful for Colin and Malner as they were for him. The rest of the Rare treasures on the list were mostly uninteresting to him. He already had enough to last him a millennia, but none the less he Mentally told Malner to buy some overpriced Fire channeling pills when rare and unique pills were being sold on stage a few dozen in a batch. Malner looked confused for a second since Gabe was not a fire Channeler and then realized who they were for, he thought of all the pills he’d used to cultivate already, the ones Sisfar had given him and knew that the contract didn’t call for any more to be bought for him. These were simply gifts. He looked around at the others in the room who didn’t know that Malner was spending Gabes money and thought it only natural he would buy these pills and laughed at their ignorance. In his mind Gabe was solidified as a benevolent master unlike any other. A true saint. If Gabe knew what Malner was thinking just because of these simple pills, he would really be in awe at how simple minded his new servant was, and feel even worse about using the man for his own gain instead of setting him free. But Malner wasn’t simple minded, he was just acutely aware of how awful a master could be to their servant. He knew it was not always the case to have a horrible master, but in his relationship with Gabe Malner held none of the power, he was forced by his own foolish contract to do and say whatever Gabe commanded. Without compliant. he was utterly under Gabe’s thumb. And yet… he didn’t feel like he was. The way Gabe acted, the small talks they had… he Felt less and less a slave every day with Gabe. And more and more like a human being. It was the exact opposite with Sisfar. Where he felt less and less humane as the years went by. With Gabe he actually felt like he could breath and not be punished for it. To those who have had nothing, a small piece of gold is worth more than the world. Gabe was by no means perfect, but he was a Light Malner needed on a spiritual level. Deep in his soul he felt a connection to another human being for the first time since he signed away his life. That connection could by no means be moved or tampered with easily, Gabe was now fixed as a savior in his heart because Malner needed a savior. He needed a hero. His life was only now becoming something worth living and Gabe was the the reason. In any case Malner decided to talk all these fellings over with his soul beast Sann later. That rabbit always kept a clearer head about things and kept Malner from jumping in without thinking which he was prone to do from the start.

As The Auction continued for about three hours of high price wares, treasures both found and man made, and items one rarely saw for sale, finely it stared to get to the cream of its crop, the reasons everyone was here. The Man selling on the stage was a Pretty boy type, with a delicate Fancy Tunic and an Insincere smile. He flipped his long hair out of his face and looked around at the potential buyers "Alright ladies and gentlemen, next on our List is the Valuable And Precious Death's glow poison seal. We're gonna start the bidding at Fifty thousand Gold rings!!" Gabe watched carefully, leaning forward in his seat, this item could teach him a poison Martial move in a second that would take years to learn without it. The bid went up to a hundred thousand Gold rings in the next five minutes of bidding and then flattened out, it was a very low price especially with the Crowd riled up and ready to buy, everyone was chomping at the bit to get the items they came here for. Gabe sent a mental message to Malner. Who rose out of his seat immediately and yelled out down to the stage. "One hundred and Fifty Thousand!!!" The Entire house looked up at him with raised eyebrows. That was an unnecessary bid he likely could have gotten it with just an increase of ten thousand, no’one here wanted to overpay for a Poison treasure. Malner was marked in everyone’s mind as too eager a bidder and too rich for his own good. Not to mention he was likely a poison channeler which turned the lip of many in here. But Gabe had too much money in his hands to care about over bidding, and he had gotten that money far too easily to worry about where it went. Plus he was playing a bit of a game, and wanted the rest of those Treasures that were coming up for bid.. The Seal was sold to him almost immediately no’one fighting him over it. It was attitudes like these that caused many Poison Channelers to be recluses, and to buy their treasures in secret. Gabe would laugh about people’s stupid prejudice if it hadn’t caused so much pain in so many Channeler’s lives over the years. There were even Poison Channeler coalitions and leagues made just to try and keep Poison Channelers from being hunted down like dogs. How ridicules. maybe if Gabe Hadn’t been raised in the Hellvine family he would feel the same way about it as others, but in the Hellvine family Poison Channelers were openly considered very honorable, and not to be feared. A few notable ones had even become the family head in the past. Just because there were evil legends about them didn’t mean they were a different race. The prejudice against them was unnatural.

Matthew and Seygo looked at Malner with wide eyes after seeing his bid, they hadn't thought the man was such a big spender, a hundred and fifty thousand Gold rings was a small fortune and he had blown it on a treasure he couldn’t even use for himself since he was a fire element Channeler. They thought he must have a special someone who he intended it for, surly only a girl could pry a man’s pockets open so far. Malner ignored their stares and sat back in his seat waiting for more orders while watching the auction with a smile. The Next Treasure was the Bottled Imp essence and the Crowd stirred when it was revealed, this could be invaluable for Matthew so Gabe stayed only a spectator as Matthew went into a bidding war with the over a dozen other Channelers. "Ninety thousand!" He shouted, but the bid slipped up to Two hundred thousand before he could even Shout again. "Three hundred thousand!!" He yelled before it could slide over his budget. The Greenwood family had deep pockets, especially for Wonderkinds like Matthew, but even his pockets were limited. His Great uncle had given him Two hundred and fifty thousand for the Treasure, and combined with what he had and his Allowed credit with his League and Family his limit came up to around three hundred and ten thousand Gold Rings with about a few thousand more if he really needed to ask for a loan from his friends or something. Quite a sum for a channeler his age to throw around, even a Wonderkind of a major power. But there were dozens of other high Channelers from other families that were older and wanted the Essence just as badly. They were realms older and much richer if only because of their long time saving up. Essence was a difficult thing to gather, and only masters of the Class could gather more then a drop of it from a thousand killed beasts. To have Avatar realm Best essence was almost attune to a Heavenly treasure so this bottle was enough to pack the auction all on it’s own. "I need it for my Breakthrough into the Elder realm!" One man shouted with a desperate voice, the breakthrough to the elder realm was one of the most difficult, as the Spirit energy it took was a thousand fold more then you would have needed to gather before. "Four hundred thousand!" The Auction house went dead quiet, but not by choice, apparently this man was well known there was a lot of whispering after his statement but no bidding. Gabe hadn't seen him, but from the price he gave he must have also been from quite a powerful Family. Matthew cursed under his breath and smiled with a defeated sigh this price was way over his budget and the Greenwood family was already in a tight spot loaning him what they already had. The auctioneer gave a final call and seeing Matthew’s deflated look Gabe Mental messaged Malner. Whoever this other guy was, he was crazy if he thought he was rich enough to win against Gabe’s fortune. Gabe could buy every treasure in this place six times over and still have enough money to buy some of the actual people as well. Malner immediately yelled out. "Five hundred thousand!!!" his voice loud and clear, Silance fell again as everyone recognized the same Voice that had paid too much for the seal. Matthew looked at the man with confusion and Shock, Seygo let out a whistle. "Dam Gabe, your friend's got some deep pockets even for a Totum Realm Channeler." She whispered in his ear. Gabe just smiled back at her. "He's a bit eccentric when it comes to spending, but somehow he never runs out of money. I have a running theory that he’s a pickpocket but at least he’s never taken from me." Seygo giggled. “That’s because your pockets are already empty.” Gabe pouted but didn’t rebut it. And The Treasure was sold when no other bids went up. No’one Came here to spend half a million gold on a single treasure. That kind of money was only thrown around in private deals between families or by the powerhouses of the world behind closed doors. If something was going to be publicly sold it couldn’t be something worth too much or thieves were sure to follow the money. No matter how powerful your backing, there was always someone willing to steel from you. Unless of course you were a Hellvine, nobody took form the family with a thousand enemies. This auction walked the line on just how priceless a public auction could go, and from the stream of curse words sounding from a disgruntled Channeler, Gabe felt like it may have crossed it. He made note to leave the city as quickly as possible after this was over. Whoever this man was, he didn’t seam to care about reputation.

The next item was a the Giant's tear. Gabe messaged Malner at the very beginning. And the man stood up quickly. "four hundred thousand!!!" He shouted. The Crowd all looked up at the the man who was buying all the precious treasures, no'one knew him and his level and Realm was hidden to all those below him meaning he was a powerful Channeler. As only those above Totem Realm could hide their Marks In Such away that absolutely no Signature was being seen without a treasure to seal it. The price he'd just shouted was about a hundred thousand too high, and he seamed so anxious to get this piece. Many didn't want to incur his wrath and just left it be not knowing who would be so rich, but Others were very displeased with his Attitude no matter how wealthy he was. "five hundred thousand!!!" Someone shouted. The Crowd gasped at the outrageous price from the Disgruntled Channeler who'd lost the Last bid, a giant’s tear was truly a worthy treasure no’one could scoff at. But it wasn’t like it was a heavenly quality one. And to normal people with only one or two soul beasts it wasn’t nearly the boon it was to Gabe.. Gabe smiled and told Malner to Grinn his head off where everyone could see it. They all watched, expecting him to bid again. But his grin revealed the truth. The Man leading the auction was very thrown off by the whole thing, stumbleing over his words for a second but finally gave the bid to the disgruntled Master realm Channeler. Gabe hadn’t planed on angering this same man again, he just wanted to throw the crowd off, and keep them from up bidding him in spite. But oh well, he was thankful the Greenwood family owned this city and he was traveling with their wonderkind. A viscous and uncaring angry roar of Fury sounded through the House, not a soul in the place moved or eve coughed when the aura of hate and spit flooded the room. The man Cursed before yelling up at Malner. "Who are you!!! What family are you with!!" He had just blown over half the money he had on a Treasure worth much less then that, not to mention he had missed out on what he came to this auction to get in the first place. But even with most people assuming that was why he was angry, everyone agreed he was heavily over reacting, no’one was happy with the eager newbie, but they liked this prick even less now. Malner, who had been enjoying this auction ever since Gabe had him buy that Essence For Matthew, and those pills for himself, just smiled down at the well dressed middle aged man. "What family are you with!!?" He called back his voice neither angry or weak, obeying Gabe's instructions to the letter. His master always seamed to have something up his sleeve, so it was best to just go along with him and have faith. "I am Bullzan of the Day-vine Family." The man said with an arrogant tone. The Day-vine Family was the second most powerful Family on the Chaos continent, and Had possession of the Dragon Treasure land. This Treasure land was well known for Being the best Treasure land on The Chaos continent. It sat directly in the middle of the continent, and produced Heavenly Treasures More often then any other treasure land, It also gave off the purest spirit energy any treasure land could give and was the absolute best place to cultivate hands down. There had been many wars over It since it was discovered untold Years ago, but the Day-vine Family had out done all the other families contending for it, by making contracts with Dozens of smaller Families and having them fight with them for Treasure rights. The smaller Families had been Invaluable and had over the years Grown into much larger families with the rights to also visit the Dragon Treasure lands, it was a powerful coalition that few could stand up against. "I congratulate you on winning the bid for that beautiful giant’s tear Bullzan, but My family Would not be pleased to hear I used their name so Flauntingly. Please understand, and accept my apology. as a gift I’ll have a server send you a drink on me." Gabe had Malner sit back down. Everyone could understand Malner’s reluctance to use his family name, it would be a disaster for a single Channeler to get his entire family on the bad side of the Day-vine family. But still it was very cowardly… as expected of a poison Channeler.

Bullzan became increasingly furious with Malner's calm Smiling attitude and Cursed at the top of his lungs, he realy wasn't doing his family's reputation any good. The auction house was tolerating his Actions because of his family name, but sent a server to ask him to calm down. He ignored the woman. "I'm going to kill you!" He finally shouted. "I'm going to pry that Essence from your Cold dead fingers!!!" Gabe was in awe at how this was getting out of hand. It was only an innocent auction, and this city belonged to the Greenwood family to try and start a fight here was like slapping them in the face,. The auctioneer snapped his head towards the man at that. "The Auction house does not allow threats! Cease and desist sir or I'll have you removed." The man snarled back at him. "You won't Kick me out!! Or I'll kill you too!!" At this point the man was not showing any respect at all to the Greenwood name. The auctioneer held a hard expression though his eyes showed deep worry. "That's it! Please escort mister Bullzan out of the Auction!" He said and immediately three high Level Avatar Realm Channelers flew down to his balcony and began to lead the man out by the arms. Bullzan cursed and swore all the way, and the crowd began to chat and whisper among each other as he left. The scene would not be good for the man, the highest Families didn't like their reputation to be smeared by anyone, not even their own. This would be a disgrace that would most likely not go unpunished for the man not to mention the shame of being out done at the auction by an unknown. Being escorted out of an Auction was a disgrace for anyone, and openly shouting threats at a respected Totum Channeler who sat with the hosting family was even worse. "Aghhmm!" The Auctioneer called for everyone's attention. "The next item is the Dark inferno Candle." He held up a black candle that cast a shadow on everything around it for fifteen feet, just robbing all the light in the room like a vortex. It was bigger then his fore arm a huge size for a candle and it would burn for a Thirty hour Meditation session. "We'll start with a bid for Eighty thousand Gold rings. A little low ut I suspect it wont stay that way." Gabe had Malner stand again and immediately bid Two hundred thousand the moment the man was done talking. Someone whistled, another bidder rose the price to two hundred and fifty. Malner laughed really loudly, causing everyone to be unsettled. “four hundred thousand!!!” he shouted boldly. That price was right on the money of where people estimated the bidding would stop. The crowd stayed hushed, no'one wanting to get burned like Bullzan had and no’one sure they could out do this man anymore, his pockets seamed to be endless, if he wasn’t sitting in a place of honor they wouldn’t believe he was actually good for it. Even those who were displeased with Malner, and those who had come Pacificly for this candle stayed quiet, it was almost unnatural. but when playing with such life changing amounts of money one couldn’t be careless, and everyone in the hall was not feeling at all comfortable. Gabe grinned as the candle was given to him for a bit less than he thought he would have to offer. even Seygo and Matthew were tense now the scene of Gabe’s friend blowing money on everything freezing up their minds, Gabe and Malner were the only Two here that didn’t feel the slightest bit bothered. Then the last Treasure he wanted went up on the stage, the Golden Sun pebble. It started at the same eighty Thousand rings. And was worth about two hundred and fifty. Malner bid the flat two hundred And fifty. And no’one bid after him. Gabe just smiled at the silence. This would be his last purchase, the other high value items were ether something he already had, or something he didn’t need. Several felt like shouting and cursing at the mystery buyer, as they had come all this way for some of those Treasures he had snatched up, but didn't do more then glare as they didn't want to make a scene like that Other man. Some made notes to discover who this mysterious bidder was, his high Seat meant that he was on good terms with the Greenwood family. As the Greenwood family owned both the city and the Auction house, and reserved the highest seats for their own family and Honored guests. The Auction continued for another hour after Malner stopped bidding and everyone sighed with relief, the big shot had finely run out of money.
