To relax his frayed nerves which were on edge from both the forty nine hour mixing of the inferno pill and also the fact of what the pill could do, Gabe spent the next three days Cultivating. The only side affect he discovered from he experiment was a raging headache that only lasted 24 hours and a soreness all over his body that felt both itchy and burning at the dame time. It also started to fade within his three days of meditation. In his Cultivation he watched as the streams of perfect spirit energy flowing from his beasts had increased by 50% after eating just that one pill. And he considered where he was heading. Was he really becoming this powerful? Would he make it? Who had given him the Heavenly rune? Or the Gold Fairy dust? Why did he always feel like someone was watching him? He'd been moving so fast lately that he hadn't looked back at what had already happened. All he knew was that someone had set him down this path, and whoever it was had really given him something powerful. Maybe it was one of his ancestors who had long ago ascended, or perhaps a Heavenly being. He wasn't sure where to go from here, but he knew that he wouldn't stop working hard to grow in power if not for his mystery benefactor then for himself, for too long he had been the weak one always at a disadvantage, now He wouldn't waste one single drop of time to gain more power and surpass himself, as every second was a second he could use what he'd been given. A second chance. And he wouldn't let fear stop him from reaching any goal he set his mind to.
At the end of the third Day Gabe felt energy tear through his body and his soul began to light up a bright white. He grinned he was passing into the Apprentice realm. He was finally starting to reach the level of power he should be at already with his age and previous talent. As the bright energy passed and Gabe felt his strength increase glowing runes appeared on his forearm next to his others. His eyes widened when he saw them. Something was deeply wrong… There was ten of them! Ten! It wasn’t right. He only had nine soul beasts that could give him beast traits. And Sisfar… That ment... he looked at Sisfar. The ship in a bottle was growing, flowing with power. When he stopped he was huge. About the size of two wagons stacked on top of eachother. "It seams I'm no longer just a Haunted object." Sisfar said, sounding very happy. In his mind, he was becoming useful, and right now that was exactly what he needed to be or it would be vary dangerous for him later. Gabe took a while to read over the runes. Most again were physical attributes, four strength runes more powerful then the last batch that probably made him as strong as someone half a realm above him, these were actually quality traits and stacked on top of each other they were powerful and would grow with him as well. Plus his other strength traits... he was now looking at becoming an absolute power house in his realm. He also got a Smelling trait that increased his sense of smell by an astounding amount, that one was from the hell hound. This one might seam useless but it was far from it. He now had Two speed traits that he smiled about just looking at. Speed was very important, if he'd had this speed when he chased the thug in the wilderness he wouldn't have had to use his Nexus wasp. These two speed traits would make him a monster with both power and speed. No’one would be able to prepare for him, he would strike like lightning and leave a boom like thunder. The last three all caught his attention. One was the Dark death Boar's Death cloud. A powerful ability he,d seen when he fought the monster. He was excited about trying it out, it might be powerful enough to effect someone much stronger then him, and be a key weapon in his arsenal. Another trait was double summon, truly a one in a thousand trait he’d only seen one other time in his life. It allowed him to summon two of his Nexus wasps at the same time. This was a good strong ability that could really help him in a pinch. Sadly though he was pretty sure it would go away if he ever kicked out his Nexus wasp since it was bound to just one beast. The last one was from Sisfar and was a rune he couldn't interpret by sight which was rare, he used all of his rune knowledge to try and grasp it’s meaning. It had to do with a “grand lie.” and allowed a demon to deceive a great power… whatever that meant. It took Gabe a full hour and a half to understand what it was actually for. And when he did he cursed seven times. this ability out shown all the others in power and usefulness. Gabe looked up at Sisfar again. "that can’t be it." He blurted. Was it even possible? Sisfar turned to him. "What?" He asked a bit worried if something was wrong he could be a dead demon in seconds. Gabriel took a moment before answering, stumbling out the words as he spoke. "You... y..you have the ability to brake a spirit contract?" He couldn't believe it. This trait was called "Hell's greatest lie." And claimed to allow him to break any spirit contract he made with little to no repercussions. He'd never heard of such a thing in all his life. Maybe it was lying to him, to test it would put his life in danger though. And meant he'd have to lie. Sisfar spoke after a short time of silence. "You can't mean you gained that trait." He said with shock. Gabe nodded. "It says I can lie on a spirit Contract." Sisfar shook his bottle from side to side. "Son of Bastard… I didn't see that coming. Of all the traits of a Demon you got that one." Gabe frowned. "You mean you can break spirit contracts?" Sisfar grunted in his dark hollow voice. "It's an ability only demons get after they pass into the Avatar realm." Gabe's were as wide as grapefruits, and he felt like he should just leave them that way. "You were an Avatar Realm Demon?!!" The Avatar realm is the second highest Realm any being can have. It comes just before the deity realm when you ascend. Sisfar had bragged about his power before but Gabe had never imagined he was an Avatar Realm. "Yes, I've told you I was the strongest demon for thirty thousand miles of the Yellow belly mountains. Before some nut job Angel comes all the way from the Celestial Continent to Spar with me." Sisfar spoke with spite at the memory. "But you never told me you were an Avatar realm." Gabe looked back down at the rune on his soul's right forearm. Spirit contracts were powered by heavenly laws. To brake a Heavenly law took unthinkable amounts of power it just couldn’t be done, this rune was a lie. "Even being so strong, how could you wield something like this." Gabe asked. Sisfar sighed. "It's not that hard, I don't think you understand what it does. It doesn't actually brake the Heavenly laws binding the contract. Instead it tricks them. Makes the contract null and void from the very beginning. Like crossing your fingers, it looks like you agreed to the deal but you really didn't." Gabe didn't quite understand but if what he was hearing was correct then he could only imagine the things he could do with this. He thought about it for a long time before he decided it might be possible. The heavenly laws were a complete mystery to everyone on primeway, who was to say there weren’t loop holes in those laws. Still no’one on this world would believe him if he told them.

The Channeler tests were only two weeks away now and the entire city was prepared for them. Over a hundred thousand participants would be fighting over the span of a month, and only the top one hundred would get prizes. Most Channeler tests cost money to even sign up for, making sure the family didn't lose any money. But the Golden-Chaos Family had decided to make it a free for all. They were one of the most powerful Families on the north continent, just as strong as the Hellvine family house. Gabe would need to figure out how to change his mark first though, if he tried to sign up now they would reject him as an embryo, and a useless one at that since he was so old. But he was an Apprentice Realm Channeler now. And it wouldn't be long before he passed up Colin who was only a few stages above him. Gabe thought about what was wrong with his Mark for days as he channeled his Perfect spirit energy into weak treasures he was going to sell. He had to be touching the object to channel His Perfect spirit energy into it or it would become impure when it touched the air and the other Spirit energy around, and not just any object could be purified like this. Whatever was wrong with his Mark was caused by the Heavenly rune. There was no other reason as Channeler marks were bonded by heavenly laws, and couldn't be changed. They would always reveal the true power of the Channeler, unless an illusion or hiding was placed over them. Maybe that was what was happening, maybe he had a powerful illusion over his mark and power level, perhaps it was placed there by whoever gave him the heavenly rune, or perhaps it was the heavenly runes doing on its own. He smiled, in ether case it wasn't broken, He'd simply have to take the illusion off. Or maybe a Powerful enough Channeler could see through it. Illusions weren't perfect, depending on their power they couldn't hide something form everyone. There were those who had powerful Soul-Beast Vision traits that would allow them to see through almost any illusion.
Gabe wondered though how he could take the illusion off, and if he did would he be able to put it back? After all it had come in handy so far. Not many people paid attention to embryo level Channelers, and one his age would be seen as exceptionally weak. Most Channelers with average talent passed the embryo Realm by nine or ten years old. Depending of course when they first bonded with their Beast. Most of which did so by seven or eight. When he finished poring power into a Poison blade, and felt it turn into a mid quality sword. He took his hands off of it and looked at his mark. He'd spent a week on that blade and hopefully would get a decent price as it's poison could probably now kill a champion level Channeler. The rune circle on his hand still looked faded and had the rune for nine in the middle. He pushed his mind into it looking for some kind of illusion. Sometimes even when you couldn't see through the illusion you could still sense there was one there. But he found Nothing, not even a sign. It looked broken, like his mark just didn't work anymore. But how could that be? did the Heavenly rune really change his soul that much? That his own mark couldn't recognize his power? Gabe projected his soul into his mark and pushed his senses around the room. The mark and the room were tied together. What he found was surprising. He had already been aware that he now had room to hold another Soul beast, which brought up his count to eleven. But he hadn't paid attention much to the size of the beast he could hold. Each person was born with a limit to the Power level his Soul beast could be at the start, and that limit could only grow when he grew in power. It was a catch twenty two as Soul-Beasts were permanent so even though his Room had grown a channeler couldn't just go out and bond with a more powerful beast. Gabe didn't have that problem, and was very excited to see that his power limit had gone up an entire Realm. He could Hold Totem beasts.... if he ever got the chance to bond with something that powerful as totem was only a rank below Avatar. Such a creature would not be so easy to encounter, or capture.
He also found a layer of thick Energy around the boundaries of his Soul room. This Energy was like nothing he'd ever felt before and seamed to be a part of his very soul, just like his soul room was. When he focused on it he felt like he could control it. He exerted his will over it and it reacted by thickening. It was now almost twice as thick, and felt stronger. Suddenly he felt exhausted, as though it had taken all his energy to do that. To see if there was any change Gabe left his soul room and opened his eyes. He coughed as he saw what it had done. His mark now was even more faded, and had a six rune in the middle instead of a Nine. Fortunately Colin was still in meditation across the room on the bed, because if he had seen that he would have freaked. Gabe almost couldn't believe it. He rushed back into his soul room and made the energy thin down which was much easier than making it thicker. Suddenly power flowed into him like he'd never felt before. He realized this energy Wall had been holding back or using up some of his power. Once the wall was paper thin he left his Soul room and checked again. All he could do was grin. He'd be able to enter the Competition now. His Channeler's mark had a large ten rune on it. And gave off the aura of a Tyke Realm artist.
