Chapter 19

‘The environment was silent and apparently they were the only ones on the street.

As he stood up feeling pain in his arms, Oliver saw the blonde approaching while tightening the strap of the backpack that was still attached to his arm.

Noticing their surroundings, Oliver noticed that again it seemed to be a garbage alley and they were in the middle of it, there were no windows or doors facing them and at the end of the alley there was a dumpster with the lid raised, showing some bags of garbage and dumped plastic.

‘He wanted to bring me here, I feel stupid for falling for something simple like that.’

With a long sigh, Oliver shook his arm and noticed that it was sore, but there was no swelling or redness.

Upon noticing that Oliver only had a slightly injured arm, the blonde whistled in surprise and continued to smile as he said.

“You really are a tough faller, huh Oliver?” He shook his arms and twisted his torso as he continued. “Usually they pass out after the first punch.”

“Thank you for noticing, I train to be recognized, who are you again huh?”

Little by little, Oliver managed to stand up, still holding his backpack and with a pained expression, thinking to himself.

‘It was too strong for someone that size.’

Both the bat and this superhuman strength made Oliver conclude that in front of him was a relic user who was staring with a smile, looking excited.

“Don’t worry about it, you won’t remember anyway.”

"You think?"

Without wasting time, Oliver forced the zipper to open and the moment he saw Oliver touch the backpack, the blonde came forward, jumping and stomping towards Oliver.

Oliver could remove the bow with one hand and push the quiver up, leaving it visible in the backpack as he watched the stomp approach.

With the little time he had, Oliver jumped to the side and his opponent quickly passed by him, missing the blow.

The speed surprised even Oliver who saw the blonde landing on the ground, making Oliver think.

‘I won’t be able to fight like this-’

He tried to reach his cape by placing his hand behind his body towards the backpack, however, the blonde was still smiling in a low posture and turned his body to deliver a spinning kick aimed at Oliver's abdomen, who opened his eyes wide in thought.

'How fast!'

The kick was thrown, but Oliver threw his body back, retreating in an attempt to avoid the blow.

This time the blow barely missed his abdomen and made the archer frown, feeling a heavy blow even though he had only barely missed it.

Wasting no time after the kick, the blonde again advanced with his fists raised, delivering quick hooks that made Oliver squint his eyes and retreat as he tried to dodge the blows.

The blows came with speed and weight, aiming at Oliver's body and face as he moved his body as he retreated to dodge the blows that generated fear without even hitting.

All the punches were clear in Oliver's vision, but his body didn't have enough time to respond and soon a punch hit Oliver's face, which he blocked with both arms.

The blow occurred again and Oliver's arms were thrown back along with his body, the power was so great that he managed to rip Oliver's feet off the ground and throw him towards the garbage dumpster.

Being hit by another blow, the archer clenched his teeth, feeling greater damage for having hit him squarely.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

He hit his back against the dumpster and grunted in pain, realizing they were already at the end of the alley.

The blonde's blows had pressed him until they reached that point and again he saw the blonde advance with another stomp towards him.

His opponent was much faster and didn't let him grab the cape easily, so Oliver clenched his teeth with the bow in his hand and once again with little time, he threw his body to the side and did a roll, dodging the stomp. which hit the trash can, crushing it and emitting a loud metallic sound.

Some bags jumped and opened due to the impact, spilling trash next to the blonde.

Oliver positioned himself after dodging and, still crouched, placed an arrow on the string, already pulling while aiming at his opponent's arm.

The rope was released and the arrow was fired straight into the opponent's arms and ribs.

The arrow went quickly, but the blonde threw his body back, keeping his smile while he still had his foot in the dumpster.

He had dodged it easily and the projectile stuck in the wall, making Oliver look surprised, but before he could think too much, the blonde spoke with some excitement.

"Almost..."

With a frown, Oliver retracted his bow and began to run towards the street, making the blonde look surprised and withdraw his foot to then return to chasing the archer while shouting excitedly.

“Do you want everyone to see you, idiot?”

Oliver continued to run and saw the blonde getting closer and closer before they even reached the exit of the alley.

Still facing the blonde as he ran, Oliver pulled the string of his bow and saw his opponent clenching his fists, looking even more excited.

'He's faster and stronger, without the cape I can still aim, but I'm still too weak without it. Then...'

With a quick turn of his body, Oliver, who had three arrows on the same string, fired both towards the abdomen and torso of the blonde who looked surprised, but still smiled seeing the arrows being fired.

The arrows went quickly towards the blonde's torso, who quickly threw himself to the side, dodging the arrows and making Oliver look surprised.

Again he pulled out more arrows, however, as soon as he had the arrow in his hands, the blonde soon intercepted Oliver's exit, standing next to the archer with a smile as he prepared a shot.

“You’re not going to run away, you donkey.”

The kick went with power and Oliver put his bow and both arms to block, until the blow happened again.

When the kick landed, Oliver was thrown back again and continued with his eyes wide open, grunting in pain, this time feeling the hit hit his ribs.

Once again Oliver was forced to step back and saw the blonde click his tongue as he stopped at the entrance to the alley.

Oliver looked surprised and stopped next to the dumpster as he saw the blonde put both hands on his waist, showing a bored and disappointed expression as he spoke.

“I don’t think you can fight without all your accessories.” With a long sigh he said. “It’s a shame, I wanted to test all my strength against someone strong, but I’ll have to end this soon.”

This time he turned with a serious look towards Oliver who was still breathing deeply recovering, but soon saw the blonde advancing again.

With the opponent coming towards him, once again the archer placed his weapon and both arms so that he could protect himself while retreating.

The blonde frowned when he saw that Oliver just backed away, advancing as far as possible and stopping within the archer's reach, turning his body openly and striking a blow at his opponent's arms.

The blow came and Oliver was pushed back, feeling his body tremble, it seemed that once again he would go far, but soon he felt something hit his back, making a dry metal noise.

When he noticed, the archer saw that his back was against the dumpster.

However, he soon saw the blonde in front of him with his foot raised heading towards him.

Oliver's eyes widened, but slowly his expression calmed down and created strangeness in the blonde.

An impact happened and the blonde no longer saw Oliver in front of him, his leg had hit the trash can and sent waste flying everywhere and towards his face, making him instinctively protect himself.

“You’re the dumb one here.”

The voice he heard made him look for the archer, but in an instant the sound of something being pulled was heard and the blonde heard something cutting through the air.

He looked to the side and for a brief moment he could see Oliver crouched next to him, with a serious look that seemed to glow a strong green while an arrow flew quickly towards his shoulder.

The blonde was hit and thrown to the side, making a few jumps before retreating with a pained and surprised expression.

“Almost… you big-mouthed idiot.”

Soon the archer prepared another arrow and aimed, maintaining the same serious expression while the blonde lowered his head with his smile gone.

Oliver fired and saw the blonde frown as he ducked to try to dodge, Oliver looked surprised, but before the arrow hit, the blonde turned into a bat, making the arrow hit the ground and bounce towards the exit of the corridor.

Seeing the animal fly to try to escape, made Oliver pull another arrow and aim towards the creature, even with difficulty, he managed to shoot towards the animal.

However, the bat swerved in zigzags to try to escape, making the arrow pass straight as it passed through the walls of the alley, disappearing from Oliver's sight as he clicked his tongue.

‘He was strong… too strong…’
