The night passed and shortly after dawn, Oliver was already up and leaving the house with a serious look, leaving his backpack on one side of his shoulder as he thought.
‘Whoever was watching me yesterday is probably a relic user.’
He took the usual route, but leaving soon so he could get to college much earlier.
The trip was very quick and he arrived at the college shortly after 6am, seeing only a few employees inside.
Oliver walked to the cafeteria and sat at a table further back, where he could have a better view of the place.
Soon he would order something to eat while he thought.
‘At some point he must come in here, morning or night, I need to find him.’
Placing his notebook on the table and lifting its screen, he opened the camera application and the screen showed images of the front of his notebook.
Having a clear view of the footage, Oliver would start recording and minimize the app so no one could see he was recording, placing his screen back on the gunman's case, focusing his eyes on the screen.
‘The gunman’s area of activity is far from here, it’s unlikely that he was the one who was watching me from the roof or even...’ Oliver’s coffee arrived and he continued to stare at the screen, still thoughtful. ‘If he moved, he arrived shortly since it hasn’t been many days since the last case.’
Oliver remembered the day before, when he felt like someone was watching him, causing him to scratch his forehead lightly as he rambled on.
‘The first user was the one who attacked me with those bandits... soon after, one started watching me in class and then I found the one on the roof. It could be that two in this case are the same person, but I'd better consider that there is a third user. They all somehow found me.’
He knew he had been careful and it didn't make sense that so many people had found him, even if it was just under a week apart.
'Somehow the first one who discovered me knew my face and sent those guys to attack me, at no point did I show my face as a vigilante, so maybe he just attacked me out of suspicion. When I didn't die, he got his answer.'
Little by little the dots began to connect in Oliver's mind and the rest of his breakfast arrived, making him raise his head, and he could see a few people entering.
For a while he saw people entering in groups and some more solitary people, but they soon joined a group while others passed by, making the cafeteria fill up little by little, until it approached class time.
‘Whoever was watching me studies here and should come in at some point, or at least leave... for that, I have a second attempt.’
When he finished, he heard the bell starting classes and some people started to get up to go to their classes and with them, Oliver got up.
He went to class as a standard part of his routine and, unlike before, he did not feel observed, not even when classes ended and he left for work.
‘It’s not like I expected him to repeat the same threat.’
Inside the radio station, time passed quickly and his working hours quickly came to an end.
Soon he hurried to return to college.
In the night class, he was again the first to enter and also the first to leave as soon as the class ended.
Oliver hurried and went to the cafeteria again, this time sitting at the exit with his back towards the gate, so he could see when people left.

It was an exhaustive plan, but less suspicious, making him guarantee images of whoever passed by.
Once again he placed the notebook and raised its screen, turning on the camera and allowing it to film the people passing by.
Throughout the night he saw some people in groups going out and a few alone people passing by with their heads down or looking at their cell phones.
Little by little the hours passed and there were only a few employees left, about to close the place, causing Oliver to pull out his notebook and close his screen.
The time was approaching 11pm and he was leaving college and heading home.
Again the trip was quick and he found himself in front of his building.
Walking up the stairs, he soon reached his room and sat under the bed, already placing the notebook on his legs while calling to get the images he had taken throughout the day.
Oliver breathed a long sigh of relief as he scratched the back of his head and thought.
‘It’s tiring and time consuming, but I still managed it in a single day.’ When his notebook turned on, he realized that the memory was almost completely full, making him smile slightly as he thought. 'We will see...'
He leaned his body forward as he placed the notebook on his own lap.
With the recordings it was possible to clearly see the faces of those entering the college and combining it with the video recorded at night allowed Oliver to see who entered and left the place.
‘I wasn’t watching everyone there, after all, it would generate suspicion. Even looking every now and then I didn't find anyone, but at least here I can get a better idea.'
There were good hours of recording, so he would adjust himself and speed up the video so he could see the flow of people.
Some time passed and Oliver saw people coming and going from college, some he knew by sight and others were new, however, none caught his attention.
For a few hours he watched and reviewed the videos, but the experience was still the same, there was nothing remarkable that could point to the use of a relic.
Even the outfits were varied enough that none of them caught his attention, making Oliver put his notebook aside as he raised his head and thought.
‘He knows how to hide well. The fact that I don't know if I'm looking for the gunman or even one of the three who knows my identity complicates me. Maybe I'm looking for the wrong pattern.' Oliver looked at his palm and saw the slight cuts that were already disappearing, making him think. 'I don't know the relic of what attacked me, it could be anything and even something that doesn't leave a mark. To tell the truth, I only know the gunman's and it shouldn't leave obvious marks, in the end I'm just taking a shot in the dark.'
His mind wandered as he tapped his finger on his knee trying to think of something that could catch the attention of a relic user while he was thinking.
‘I can carry a bow in my backpack, with a little effort it could easily carry a pistol or another object of the same size.’ Oliver frowned as he thought. ‘But was it the effect of the main weapon?’
Soon he realized that there could be a certain similarity between him and other relic users, making him think even about practices he himself did.
For a while, Oliver rambled.
'It hides too well, it doesn't stand out enough to attract the attention of even those looking for it...' Oliver's eyes widened when a thought came to his mind, causing him to pull the notebook back onto his lap as he thought. . 'Can be it.'
With the notebook on his lap, he quickly went through the recordings and stopped focusing on the groups, turning his vision only to those who were most isolated from the groups.
When he had a clear focus, he slowly noticed some similarities.
There were some who just seemed introverted, but there were some with their heads down and others who lowered their heads when they looked towards Oliver.
Seeing that some suspects had emerged, Oliver gave a slight smile.
'It should be obvious, even though he might know that I'm the guard, if he knows about my routine, he will show some level of surprise.'
Some had similar reactions, others more apparent and some more subtle, such as squinting or frowning while some stared at Oliver for a few seconds, many of the time they just seemed curious.
Even so, he would soon separate the suspects and take photos of their faces on his cell phone, just so he could memorize them.
Of the suspects, some joined groups and others continued on their way, disappearing from the camera's range, but still making Oliver smile.
'Maybe he found me by the same pattern, no... it's just a hypothesis that's not worth discussing now, what matters is.' He once again removed the notebook from his lap and pulled out his cell phone, seeing the faces of the suspects.
that had caught his attention, staring at his cell phone screen as the images reflected and made him think. ‘They don’t try to stand out and have more solitary habits to make it difficult to suspect or have more eyes on them.’
With the pattern in mind, Oliver lay down as he ran his eyes through the images he had captured, lightly pressing his cell phone as he said.
‘We’ll see tomorrow.’
