Stage Act 7.5: A Wolf Leaves The Gang

A young man was in the middle of a meeting, a meeting between his father and his band of knights.

"And that's all, it's a very simple job and I trust you can get it done?" The grey-haired, Duke asked.

All the men nodded, all, but one. That man was Elliot Wolfgang.

"Son, do you have something of matter to say?" The Duke asked.

"I just don't see this as necessary, it's underhanded." The Duke laughed and so did the men.

"Come on Elliot, when did you start caring about that stuff? Honestly, I didn't even know you knew the meaning of the word!" The Duke put his arm around Elliot's neck.

"Come on, son, this is very important to your old man. You'll do it for me, won't ya? I'll even let you have that woman after you're done." Elliot was used to this, he knew his father very well.

"Do what you will, but count me out." But this time it was different, Elliot walked out of the room while his ears were being attacked by the angry yells of his father.

As he walked the halls of the castle, he bumped into a young man holding some papers.

"Huh, Elliot? Is that you?" It was the person he used to admire the most, the person who was there for him when his father treated him like shit as a child.

"Klaus?" It was his childhood best friend, Klaus R. Klein.

"What are you doing here?" Klaus had grown much taller than the last time they met, he was almost the same height as Elliot and his dark red hair had grown longer too, it went all the way down to his shoulders.

"I just got done with a meeting, so what are you doing here?"

"I just got transferred here and so I'm on delivering duty." Elliot smiled as he recalled all the memories they had together.

"Um delivering these is the last thing I have to do today… so if you have some time, would you like to get a drink?" Elliot, who had petrol duty that day decided that he would just have someone else fill in for him.

"Yeah, I'm all free." Klaus smiled at this and ran off quickly and then came back empty-handed.

"That was fast?"

"The captain wasn't in his office, so I just left them at the door."

"Is it fine to just leave them there?"

"Yeah, the captain couldn't care less about those documents." And so they left the castle and went to a local tavern, where they drank and caught up about what the other was up to.

Klaus had become a knight and was recently transferred to work at the castle.

Elliot was very drunk, but Klaus was able to hold his drink pretty well and soon Elliot started to ramble about his father's plans. Even though he knew Klaus was a part of the opposition that opposed his father, he didn't care. He had enough of his father.

"If you don't agree with what they're going to do then just stop it?"

"Look, I'm not saying this because I'm a part of the Klein family, I honestly could care less of that stuff. But I'm saying this because you'll regret not doing anything about it."

"What can I do? My father is already close to becoming the high minister, this'll probably be the last push he needs."

"This is just sad. The Elliot I knew would've done everything he could to oppose his father!" While Klaus wasn't as drunk as Elliot, he was still a bit tipsy and so he was a little loud.

"People change, Klaus. I've been worn down throughout the years, especially when you left!" They were both being very loud and so Klaus suggested they leave.

They grabbed one last bottle of wine and left for an inn. When they arrived and they collapsed in a room.
