Pov: ???
----------------------------------------
I hummed a tune that I heard during my childhood. It was sweet and cheerful, after all why shouldn’t I be cheerful about my awesome luck?
“Ah it truly feels like a dream after everything that happened, that man, was truly an angel in disguise.”
I felt a smile appear on my face as I remembered that fateful moment.
“I was a drunk man with a shattered heart after I found out my wife cheated on me with one of the nobles in this wretched city, oh that witch, when I see her again, I’ll rip- ah I’m getting off track, forgive me. Where was I? Oh yes, so as I was walking home, and then a man wearing.... what was he wearing again? Anyways this man was my savior I’m telling you. At first, I ignored him and was about to shove past him but then he suddenly called out my name! Can you believe that? Someone I didn’t know, knew me!”
I shook my head as a chuckle escaped my lips.
“Curious and suspicious, I looked at him and was surprised when he told me my situation down to every little detail. I was so drunk I almost punched him right there and then! But I was stopped by some mysterious force, and I suddenly turned sober. Before I could react to the strangeness of the situation, the man pulled out a vial filled with a murky black liquid, he told me to drink it and all of my problems would be solved. I laughed so hard back then, but said why not, I had nothing to live for anymore.”
I raised my hands into the air.
“And when I drank it to the last drop, I was reborn as something greater! And I was given powers that could make kings kneel! How awesome is that?”
A hoarse laugh came out as I turned and looked at the strange creature that had fallen into my hands half an hour ago. Seeing how the creature remained unamused a scowl appeared on my face. I grabbed onto the chair’s arms where the creature was currently bound in.
“Do you not believe me like the others?!?! He has come to save me! HE IS THE TRUE RULER! HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!”
I took deep breaths to calm myself and let go.
“It seems you will need some proof creature, and I will happily oblige to doing so! I don’t need this disguise anymore as my mission is just about finished!”
My vision darkened as I thrust my index finger and ring finger into my eyes and had my thumb latch on the roof of my mouth, and then I pulled.
Pov Eclipse.
----------------------------------------
This was all so strange, I blacked out and then woke up, only finding myself in a completely different area than where I landed and for some reason, I had a ‘rope’ around me, which was weird as Silven said rope was used to tie up ‘horses’ to an object to they don’t move. But I wasn’t a horse? And even weirder was the human in front of me, it kept talking about its savior, and now it plunged its fingers into its face while keeping its creepy crescent on its face the entire time.
With a sickening noise, the human ripped off its face letting it fall to the ground with a splat showing another face but this one was pitch black with purple web that connected to 2 purple eyes. The human’s voice sounded.... strange, before it was high pitched and annoying, but now it sounded deep and broken.
“THIS IS MY GIFT! Gone are the shackles of time!”
It watched me closely for some reason before it continued talking.
“Why aren't you cowering? WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT! I AM AN APEX PREDITOR AND YOU ARE PREY SO START COWERING!”
Suddenly the human became very angry before it froze in place and muttered to itself.
“Calm down Wiliam you still have to complete his work, happy thoughts Wiliam just resurrect the last body and then you can have the creature serve under you.”
Ok I really don’t want to be with this human named Wiliam, this is way too creepy, and weird. Thankfully William went through a door, which was behind it, allowing me to move around a bit to see if I could remove the rope, but nope I was still bound to this chair.
As I had nothing to do, I looked around the dimly lit room in sheer boredom, but the dim light didn’t let me see much. Wow I’ve been constantly getting bored and restricted when I met the humans, thankfully humans were quite good at designing their rooms, so I was able to distract myself by looking at the white circle with strange symbols in front of me.

Which prompted a blue box to appear for an odd reason.
System Notice Seen a complete Ritual circle for summoning undead, skill [Summon Undead] learnt 1 / 4. complete three more objectives to learn this skill. Quest generated.
Weird, I guess I know this is a ritual circle now, I wonder what this skill is, since I don’t know what undead even are.
A couple minutes later, Wiliam comes back with another human thrown over its shoulder, there was blood dripping from the human, weird, but Wiliam is weirder, so I won't question the other human.
Wiliam then roughly dropped the human in the middle of the ‘ritual circle’, stepped back, and pulled out a brown worn out book.
That’s when I noticed more oddities. The human on the ground was missing its head for an odd reason, I thought humans needed heads? And Wiliam hands seemed to have gone through a change as its fingers ended in black tips that constantly dripped a purple substance which disappeared mid-air.
“raeh ym llac dna yebo em, evig ruoy ydob ot em dna thgif rof em dna i lliw leuf ruoy htaednu litnu uoy era ton dedeen.”
Wiliam started talking all weirdly, not surprising, but whatever he said seemed to work as the ritual circle started glowing.
“esir ho esir erutaerc fo htaed, emoceb ym thgink! I llac uoy ot dia em sseldaeh thgink!”
Following the weird words, darkness seemed to flow out of Wiliam and into the circle, causing it to turn darker by the second. The human in the middle of the circle started floating, and once it reached a certain point, it froze and turned upright, prompting the darkness to exit the circle and fly into the human.
The human convulsed and started transforming, its already white skin turned pure white, and the blood started flowing upwards forming an ever growing orb. Once the blood stopped coming, the orb stilled and I noticed it was slightly smaller than me, but that may be due to the distance. Suddenly more darkness came from Wiliam which looked like a river that flew through the air.
I watched as Wiliam drank a blue liquid that somehow was floating mid-air, which didn’t seem as surprising as what just happened, but then the situation turned more confusing as the flowing darkness suddenly turned into a solid and flew into the human causing it to be pushed around for a bit before it seemed to get used to the force and stayed still for the rest of the solid darkness ramming into it. After a bit I noticed that the human looked like it just put on armor that looked a bit like Jack’s but didn’t have all those sharp bits, it looked smooth.
After the armor finished encasing the headless human, the blood orb above it flew down and connected to both of its shoulders and spread downwards turning into a cloak without the top part. A sword appeared in front of the human, and it reached out and grabbed the sword forcefully and fell back down to the ground into a kneeling position with the red cloak surrounding the human. The ritual circle lost its glow, and the blue box came back.

I heard Wiliam making a strange sound as it raised its arms into the air.
“Yes, YES! Finally, I have completed my mission! Now, time to raise the city! Headless Knight, take the creature and bring it to the room with the other undead.”
The Headless Knight shifted its body towards me and stood up while freeing up its arm and putting the sword on its hip. It moved its hand quickly towards me, but stopped when it almost touched me. It seemed Wiliam noticed as he angrily said.
“What are you doing? IM TELLING YOU TO DO SOMETHING SO DO IT!”
Oh, I really hate your voice
That seemed to break the knight out of its frozen stance, and it moved its arm away from me and untied the rope before picking me up gently, its armored hand was cold which wasn’t surprising, but it was uncomfortable.
We then started moving away from the light and into the darkness.

I feel so useless right now, while the 3 guild leaders are out there looking for the Necromancer, I’m just wandering around with a broken arm doing absolutely nothing. I quietly sighed to myself as I passed by two veterans talking excitedly about something random.
“... seen that. I even snuck an [Appraisal] at it and it didn’t even show its species name, can you imagine that? I never knew they allowed creatures like that in the city!”
Heh that sounds like Eclipse, oh since I have free time now, I might as well go back to Eclipse-
That thought stopped at once when the one of the vets described something about the creature.
“Did you see the blood though? It was grey and translucent, first time seeing that color of blood-”
The vet was not able to finish as I grabbed onto his shoulder with the majority of my strength, I felt my surroundings blur as all of my attention focused on the man.
“Did the creature have 6 legs, 2 wings and it was white and black?”
The startled vet gulped and answered my question with fear in his eyes.
“Y-yes m-ma'am.”
I heard someone speak loudly beside the vet, the other vet probably, but I completely ignored him.
“Where exactly.”
“U-uh, right outside the m-mercenary guild, the a-apothecary Wiliam Bright took the c-creature with him.”
I let go of the vet and started sprinting towards the apothecaries shop as I remember who Wiliam was, when I first started my work, I used to go to Wiliam to buy potions, but he was a creep and sold his potions for an outrageous price, so I stopped going there.
I don’t know why Eclipse was taken by him, or why it was bleeding, but all I know is that if Wiliam took Eclipse for not good reasons, I was going to put him in a world of pain.
Don’t worry Eclipse I’m coming.
