* Hoouuuuuuuu!!!!
* Damn it, why don't you die?!
By a demon! I just killed this brute bull's partner. Still, when I wanted to give the final blow to this other one, I got a damn power up pulled out of my ass as if I was the protagonist of an anime or manga. It's not that I'm against this. I can understand one going crazy and going into a fight with no thought of having your bones broken or using a technique that gives you power in exchange for your life, or at the very least having trained or starting to experience the changes after being in a desperate situation.
But out of nowhere, evolving or pulling out a new power just because you can doesn't make any damn sense! Even though I experienced an evolution of my ability, at least I was fighting desperately against hundreds of goblins and even came close to dying several times!
You just watched your partner die, and out of nowhere, your power of friendship was activated! What do you think you are, Goku?! But even in the series, you can see how he trains to his limits!
* HOOOUUUUUU!!!!
The evolved brute bull again performs his charge against me while his horns are on fire. The evolution of this brute bull changed some small things like his hooves and horns are surrounded by flames, while his muscular body takes a darker shade.
* HOOOUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!
* Stop mooing, you fucking bull!
Possession!
I use "flake" and transform it into my lizard version to increase my own defence because it's the best option against a monster with the fire element.
So I get into a draw position, hoping that I can cut its head with a heavy slash which I don't see very likely, but I have to try. Once he is in my attack zone, I unleash my ability.
Heavy Slash!
I put all my strength into this attack, hoping I could cut his head in half, but the only thing I managed to do was leave a wound that made him bleed. Fortunately, the blow of my sword made his head rise and stop momentarily. I take the opportunity to run and hide in some nearby trees.
* HOUUUUU!!!!!!
The evolved bull moos and begins to generate a fireball between its horns, so I quickly grab the bag with Kawaii to protect it.
A fireball passes over me and the trees around me when I do this. The fire starts to spread because I have no choice but to use another sponge bomb to avoid a forest fire, but I have to get away from this place before I do that.
I crawl on the burnt ground to avoid the smoke from harming Kawaii, and the evolved bull doesn't see me.
Once I'm close enough, I place Kawaii in his respective spot and pull out a sponge bomb, aiming for a place where I can put out the fire and draw the evolved bull's attention.
* FOR THE KRUSTY KRAB!
* .... Yeah... I'll never get used to that.
The sponge bomb screams in the sky and then explodes and releases the water inside. During that process, the evolved bull turns its head in the direction of the sky while I take a moment to run in its direction and perform an ambush.
So I run as fast as I can; when I'm 5 meters away, the bull turns his head and sees me as I'm running in his direction. Still, the bull takes a few seconds to react due to that surprise, which I take advantage of to slide and get closer to his jaw.
The evolved bull reacts and raises its front legs to crush me with its weight, but it is already too late.
I thrust my sword into the thin part of its jaw, and it manages to pierce its head, but that's not the end of it.
Heavy slash!
I activate the heavy slash skill, which manages to destroy part of his brain, which causes the rest of his body to tremble for a few seconds and then fall to the ground as if it were a bag of cement.
[You have hunted elemental brute bull].
So it's the evolved form of the brute bull. I must admit that its defensive power increased considerably. Still, I felt that its magic and strength didn't increase that much. Maybe its evolution was only intended to increase defence and decrease mana consumption?

If I find another pair of bulls, I'd better avoid them because I don't want to face a brute bull that evolves by the power of love and friendship. Let's keep on exploring.
...
2 hours passed since the fight, and I finally managed to hunt another 28 bulls and get another stat boost, which increased (HP/MP/Stamina +10 - Strength+2).
The reason why it took so long is that I had bad luck. The first thing was that there were not many bulls nearby, so I had no choice but to go deeper into the forest to find them. The second thing was that many pairs of bulls forced me to look for other bulls.
The other reason was that while I was fighting with the bulls and cutting off their heads, I practised my reflexes and coordination. As soon as I made the cut on their head, I would quickly jump back to try to dodge their charge, which didn't always work, and I had to use my sword to support the charge.
But all that effort was worth it because now I have a 50% chance of cutting his head and dodging his charge, it's not much, but at least I save myself the trouble of drinking 1-2 potions each time. I was already getting tired of going to the bathroom every now and then.
In any case, it's already getting dark, and I'm far away from the city, so I'll have to spend the night outside. I should look for a safe and easy place to defend, like a cave or a big tree. Luckily there's a mountain a few meters from here. Maybe there's a cave.
Having said all that, I start to climb the mountain hoping to find one.
10 minutes later I reach the top of the mountain, to my good luck there is a cave, it's not very big, but it's big enough to sleep in, which is good enough for me. But the most important thing is still missing: the bed and something to keep the wild monsters away.
I have no choice but to buy a sleeping bag and some kind of repellent from the "αβΩ SYSTEM."
* "SISTEMA αβΩ" looking for a sleeping bag.
The "αβΩ SYSTEM" starts the item search, which only takes a second, curiously, there is only one item of this kind, and it costs 10 silver. Hence, with no other choice, I buy it immediately.
[Basic sleeping bag 12H]
[Description: A green camouflage sleeping bag to sleep outdoors, after 12 hours, it starts to disintegrate, which is good for the environment, taking care of nature's stinky pig].
Once the sleeping bag is purchased, I buy the monster repellent, but this one is much more expensive than I thought and costs 2 gold coins.
[Bottle to repel monsters rank C-]
[Description: A bottle which releases a scent that affects the sense of smell of monsters of rank C- and below and forces them to move away for 12 hours, it smells like piña colada... don't drink it].
This Bottle to repel monsters is smaller than I thought, only 7 centimetres long and filled with a light green liquid. When I removed the cork from the Bottle, it released a green gas that smelled like piña colada, but that forced Kawaii to hold his nose, so I quickly closed it again.
I placed the sleeping bag in the cave and buried the Bottle outside. That way, it doesn't take up space in my inventory, and if I want to use it, I just have to enter the cave and pull the cork out of the Bottle to release the gas inside.
Now that I have a safe resting place, it's time to find out where these rays are.
While I was hunting, I also had to take detours to avoid the bulls with a partner, which caused me to wander farther than usual, so I had no idea where I was.
So I pull out the map and check how far I am from the city.
Looking at the map, I see that I'm almost in the middle of the forest. Suppose I want to get back to Fanfer. In that case, it will take about 30 minutes flying, walking maybe an hour, it's in these situations where an amount is necessary, but it's a long time before my dinosaur egg hatches.
* Well, let's eat first and then go out and hunt that elusive fox.
That said, I took out my food and started eating. I gave Kawaii about 30 safron herbs, which I bought from the "αβΩ SYSTEM" as I have no idea if she is full or not, it's like her stomach is bottomless.
...
Once we finish our meal, I take out the reading glasses, and I go out to go deeper into the forest.
While I'm going down the mountain, I also leave some traces to remember where my shelter is and not to get lost because I have no idea where I have to go to find the crystal fox, I might find it wandering in the forest, or it might be in some subway cave. Hence, it's better to be prepared.
Now what I wonder is where is the fox? If I remember well, its elements are light/ice, so it may be somewhere where it is cold or maybe a place where there is enough light, so now I head towards the lake area, as it is the only place where this monster maybe. If I do not find it here, I will have to look in the nearby mountains and see if there is one.
I search for the crystal fox in the surrounding area, keeping an eye out for any other monsters lurking around, as I have no idea what I might encounter.
As I creep through the bush, I see a firefly, an insect/light attribute monster that has the shape of a firefly with a dull yellow body. Its antennae are green, while the light it gives off is blue with snow-white tones. If I remember correctly, it has the ability of night vision and blinding light. It is not a strong monster, but it is annoying when fighting. If you are not prepared, it can easily blind you and leave you vulnerable to the attacks of other monsters.
But, even so, I think I could hunt it... no... it's better not to do it, it's not because I can't, but because I can't carry the body of this one in the inventory, and if I kill it and leave its corpse, it may attract other stronger monsters, for the moment I'm limited to hunt at most C-rank monsters.
But when I get my new sword and seal the life devourer, I will have no problem facing these monsters. Who knows, maybe I can even face C+ rank monsters without difficulty.
...
It has been 3 hours since I started searching for the crystal fox. So far, I have not found any trace of it. In the lake I found nothing and in the mountains less, maybe it is in an area that is not visible, like a hidden grotto, but if so, where is it?
Or maybe this fox is from another continent. While it was being transported, it escaped and began to explore the surroundings. Maybe that is why it has not found any.
If so, it must be somewhere where it is cold, or its temperature is low enough. It is possible that it has made a den and is hiding there.
That said, it's time to check the lower area of the surrounding mountains.
...
* There it is!
After 1 hour of searching exhaustively and thoroughly, I found a burrow in a mountain hidden by some bushes. If I wasn't checking the lower part of the mountain, I wouldn't have found this entrance.
Now I need to perform an important step: to make sure that the fox is inside and prevent it from escaping. I will use the two blinding grenades that I have left. If everything goes well, I can seal the fox without much trouble and escape.
Otherwise, I will have to develop another way to catch it.
