Well, this is no chapter, Retriever isekai is still in between-volumes-hiatus yadda yadda, this is an announcement for another dog-related comedy of mine. This work inhabits a similar niche as Retriever isekai, but is less unapologetically mocking of the reader. If you liked Retrievermisekai and you tolerate card games, you will probably enjoy Deck of Dogs.

In it we follow Mauro, a Magic The Gathering Player that got Isekaied by traditional means. However, he finds himself in no traditional isekai: he is alone in a monstruous and deformed amalgamation of rooms and halls, His guide there is a Giant Schnauzer that inhabits a card, and a goddess that is fond of furry emojis forces him (and everyone else trapped in this world) to play card games to eat.

The card game is full of referential humor, Mauro is taking his situation in a way similar to Walter (Except way less villainous), and there's no Heart of the Cards bullshit: Mauro will lose and lose and lose almost as much as he wins, due to the nature of card games. If anything else needs to be said, i eventually plan to include cards referencing retriever isekai.

So, if you need a fix of absurd dog-related humor, give it a try. There are pugs. Tons of pugs. Each more deformed than the other.
