“Haha, now that Fumiko-san mentioned it, I plan to lose my virginity this summer as well, after all I’ve started getting close to a Ruri-chan at school. I’ll make sure to do it by the end of the summer!” Senko pridefully boasted before drinking his shot of ginger ale.

As cool as it was for Senko to get close to a girl, He is 100% lying. I overheard Ruri-san mentioning she feels awkward around him and I plan to keep that secret to my grave, unless he finds out himself without me telling him.

This guy is Johnny Hasegawa, he's a friend of ours who recently moved to Japan with his dad roughly 5 years ago, and lastly he is son of the owner of the restaurant we're at, which is the Hasegawa Rodriguez Cocina, that's right his parents runs a restaurant around the food court area of Waku Waku department store!

Which of course led to us bargaining for discounts, the restaurant is mostly open at night and serves Mexican and Japanese food and a whole lot alcoholic beverages and cocktails, it's nice to have a friend with connections.

“Come on man, did you seriously have to stop them? It was getting to the good part!” Senko, who was sitting beside me, commented on Johnny stopping Fumiko and Toda-kun's drunken quarrel.

“Yes I do, these morons need to stop fighting all the time!” Johnny smacked the back of Fumiko and Toda-kun's heads then sitting between Fumiko and Senko.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only responsible person in this friend group!

Since classes were still suspended, me and my boys decided to have a night out together and Drink some alcohol. Well they drink a lot of alcohol, I much prefer tea than anything… Someone's gotta be the sober friend that keeps everyone from getting into too much trouble… then again I end up drinking a lot myself after peer pressure sets in.

These drinking parties we hold is a bit of a mini event whenever everyone is free, we do it maybe once or twice every season.

During these gatherings we discuss our classes, what we have been up to whenever the others weren't around and whenever someone invites the other to play video games together… then again half the discussion is relegated to Fumiko-san, Toda-kun and Senko all complaining about being virgins, not having a date for festivals, parties and occasions, and Johhny-san stopping a fight between the three from engaging at all!

“Is this really all you two are gonna be talking about all night?” Toda broke his silence a second time after sipping some Whiskey Sour.

“You don't get it Toda,” Fumiko-san complained while pointing his empty mug of beer at my face. “In highschool you're supposed to lose your virginity and become a real man!” Fumiko-san complained while refilling his mug and downing a quarter of the entire mug.

“And those people peak in highschool and go on a downward spiral of being sad and lonely.” Toda interrupted Fumiko.

“As I was saying! Even if there’s no rushing it, it makes me think whenever I see people who do have girlfriends and makes me think ‘how can he?’ have a girlfriend, it does make me a little curious.” Fumiko slammed the mug annoyedly at the table.

“You make a fair point there.” Senko joined in before taking a bite out of his Taco.

“Of course I do!” Fumiko-san beamed with confidence.

“Alright man calm down, We believe you, you're gonna lose your virginity this year.” Johnny smacked Fumiko’s arm trying to calm him down.

“Oh now you're making fun of my Johnmy!? Fine! You see that chick over there!?”

Fumiko-san pointed at the girl near the counter inside the restaurant. She was roughly around my height, had short brown hair with a reddish ombre at the end, and she was wearing a black skirt and what seem like a light pink tank top.

“I'm gonna go ask her out!” Fumiko got up and walked up to her… and immediately walked back to his sit defeated. “She immediately rejected me!? HOW COULD SHE REJECT “ME” DAMN IT!!! ALL WOMEN ARE THE SAME!” Fumiko shouted his lungs out, as the girl he asked out seems to have started paying attention to what we're talking about.

And to my surprise the girl looked exactly like Haruka-senpai, the major difference was her hair is significantly shorter with a red ombre, her chest was a bit smaller and she seems more blunt that Senpai, judging by how defeated Fumiko-san is behaving.

“Come on… stop crying.” Toda gave Fumiko a headpat that immediately got swatted away!

“Yuuki!” Johnny snapped me out of my deep thoughts “How about Yuuki, You're awfully quiet all night?” Johnny asked, causing Senko and the other two to look at me expectantly.

“Yes you're the only Yuuki in the room with us, any girl plans?” Fumiko spoked.

“Nothing, It's nothing, I don't have much plans for the summer.” I tried to avoid the question however they kept being pushy about the topic.

“Nothing serious, He Who eats lunch with Sakura, Haruka-Senpai more than three times a week at the cafeteria, and HANGS OUT WITH HER AFTER SCHOOL!” Fumiko-san pointed a fork at my face. “Explain yourself you filthy criminal! How come you, among all the other boys, are hanging out with the campus queen!”

“Why are we talking about girls again?”

“Because it's summer, probably.” Johnny laughed while taking a shot of CHEAP-BOOZE™️

“How envious, how can you be so close with such beautiful girls one by one? Teach me the secret!” Toda bowed drunkenly.

If you'd think this was an ego boost you'd be wrong, it's a flat out annoyance since their breaching privacy between myself and Haruka-senpai.

“If there really is a secret like that, I would rather you tell me.” Fumiko-san finally backed away and drank more beer.

“Damn it, what’s the difference between me and Yuuki!!” Toda angrily berated himself.

With a snap of a taco bite, Senko broke his silence. “Come on, leave the guy alone, he only wants to enjoy his own happiness!” Senko calmly answered on my behalf, he knew that my relationship with Haruka-Senpai barely progressed since he stalled for me! “Although, They're right, Yuuki, Yuuki's been getting quite popular at the campus lately.” Senko continued his little speech.

“Since when did you switched to their side!” I kicked his foot.

“Am I wrong? For the past two months, Yuuki and Haruka-senpai tends to meet up before the school open up, they walk to their classes together and share lunch during recess and walks home together.”

“That barely says anything about my popularity though!” I responded to Senko.

“You're wrong, because whenever Yuuki, is busy with studying, being friend zoned by Haruka-Senpai, or minding his business, I tend to hear a lot good gossip from the other girls at the school saying things like “Rin-Kun’s hair looks so cute lately!” “Yuuki from that class has been hanging out with Haruka-Senpai a lot… I wish I was in her place!” “How come Rin-san only pays attention to Haruka-Senpai? “DAMN IT ALL!! Why does Yuuki get all the attention!” Fumiko-san grumbled to himself.

“Or maybe, Yuuki wasn't popular at all, But starting around summer vacation of last year, his popularity started to increase, and by fall of last year, he was already quite popular among the girls in the class or even school, While not the most popular, he probably had a good standing with the girls thanks to his kindness and friendliness, I’m sure.” Johnny spoke up trying to process the chaos that just ensued.

“That might be the case, Johnmy.” Senko responded.

“Can we please move on from discussing my love life?” I pleaded.

“No! Not until you spit out your magic on how you're seducing The campus queen, Sakura, Haruka-Senpai!” Fumiko angrily whined.

“Seducing…?” Was all I could respond to him.

What do you mean seducing my cousin?” The girl who Fumiko-san asked out approached me directly at our table. “Spill it out.” Seeing her up close she is the splitting image of Haruka-Senpai.

“It's nothing don't mind us-” I tried to respond before getting cut off.

“Answer me! What right do you five have to talk about my cousin!

“C-cousin?” Senko and I said in unison.

“Yes, I'm her cousin, Michi Sakura.” Michi-san placed her hand on her hip.

So she's the cousin Haruka-Senpai’s been talking about since we were kids? I looked at Johnny, Fumiko and Toda all whom seemed to have suddenly gone quiet. These bastards can't even defend me!?

“W-well you see…” I tried to answer her.

“You see, Yuuki here is Madly in love with your cousin, they hang out all the time before, during and after school classes!” Senko yapped.

“Well you see…. I uh.. he's right…” I admitted it out loud.

“I see… you're the Yuuki that Haruka Onee-san told me about.”

“Umm.. please don't take this the wrong way Michi-san, I don't intend to hurt Haruka-senpai so please don't tell her anything.” I got up my seat and bowed hoping to appease her.

“And that is??” Senko asked.

“You’re gonna be tested to see if you're truly worthy of my cousin, by taking me out on a few dates.” Michi-san gave me a headpat.

“I- um… ”

“HE'S GONNA WHAT!?” Toda and Fumiko asked in a surprised tone, then Fumiko collapsed on the table as his soul seemed to have left his body through his mouth…

I looked back at Michi-san, her face had no semblance of lies, she was dead serious.

“Alright…. I accept.”
