It was getting close to the afternoon, and even though we had Toda-kun by our side, I couldn’t help but feel like someone was secretly trailing us, I kept… looking back and scanning the area just to stay safe.

There is no way someone has already managed to create a type of equipment that can be hidden from environmental scanners right?

It took us another 40 minutes to arrive between the lush forest of “Golden Lizard Covert'' and the vast plains of “Meadow Mosaic.”

“Are we nearly there?” Toda-kun asked us as he prepared a pair of scythes.

“Yes, we’re almost there, just be sure to have your weapons out in case the dilophosaurus packs are still there,” Senko replied as he prepared he took out his “Bo Staff” and had his longbow on his back.

I also prepared my pistols and short sword as we headed to the now-ruined campsite. Looking around our campsite was rather worrying, I didn’t recall the place being more trashed, the tents were shredded, our medical supply container was cracked open, and the crate of our food was scratched and everything inside was crushed or missing.

“Someone’s been here after we left.” I thought to myself as I started investigating the bonfire that was now put out, however, we spotted that it had several burnt scraps on it

Senko started investigating the shredded tents, while Toda-kun checked the grassy area around the campsite.

“Hey Yuuki, have you found anything that we can still salvage?” Senko frustratedly asked as he kicked the torn down tent aside.

“Doesn't seem like it, the containers are empty and the other furniture we brought along were destroyed, I doubt there's anything salvageable here.”

“So you're saying we wasted all that money just to lose all our stuff…” Senko took a deep breath.

“Seems like it….”

“You two might want to come see this.”

Looking at Toda-Kun’s direction it looks like he was investigating something that was relatively far from us. Both of us had better join him before the Dilophosaurus pack came back.

“Found anything new…” Senko responded before getting silent.

“What are you two being quiet suddenly for…. Oh…. My….” I got up and walked to their direction but was also brought to silence.

There was a hole dug up and there laid several dilophosaurus carcasses. The corpses had several scratches, puncture wounds and were gutted open.

“Are those the same ones that tried to hunt us down?” Senko put his first near his jaw as if he was contemplating what could've caused those injuries.

“Senko, Poke it with a stick just to see if they're still alive.” Toda-Kun proposed to Senko.

“You do it! I'm not messing with the dead!” Senko shouted loudly at Toda-kun as he backed away slowly.

There was definitely a bigger threat in our area if it managed to take down a dilophosaurus pack.

“You two, scan the area! I doubt that we're alone here!” I demanded loudly.

The duo did as I asked and we were now scanning this place to see if there was any dinosaur or person in our general vicinity.

We continued scanning for 15 seconds and the scanners still didn't reveal anything, I refuse to believe we were alone here!

“Hey… was the grass here always this tall?” Senko suddenly asked while pointing out the grass was now almost as tall as we were.

“I don't remember them being this tall, but we better slice the grass around us just to reveal whatever is in here.

Now that Senko mentioned it, the grass in this area seemed overgrown, they were now reaching just above our chest area. Is there an in-game clock that dictates how fast grass grows?

“Well you see there hotshot I didn't pick a bladed weapon!” Senko announced as he prepared his Bo-Staff again.

“And whose fault was that?” Toda-Kun butted in while he started to chop off several tall grass with his scythes.

“Touché.” Senko rolled his eyes.

“Now is not the time to joke around, let's hurry and create a trail for us to leave.”

I unsheathed my short sword and followed Toda-Kun in slicing tall grass.

This continued for 2 minutes and it didn't seem like we were progressing, we were only able to chop the tall grass around the camp…

“Maybe the best choice was to make a break for it…” were the words that my brain was shouting to do!

I kept looking around the area trying to see if there was anything around us, I really couldn't shake the feeling of someone is here with us, the scanners say there isn't any dinosaur in this area as of now but my intuition is yelling to keep your guard up!

Looking at Senko and Toda-Kun, they didn't seem as tense as I was, the atmosphere here was suffocating, the sun wasn't even setting yet, it was just barely past afternoon, so why does it feel like we're not safe here!?

“KSHIYAAAAHHH!!”

“Yuuki behind you!!!” Senko Yelled Out as he fired an arrow past my left shoulder.

I instinctively titled my head to the right

***KKKRRRGGHHSSHH*** was what I heard as I ran towards the duo and turned my back quickly to face what Senko had shot.

“That's….!?” Toda-kun shouted as the sight of what Senko shot.

Senko had shot a Utahraptor directly on his left eye! the creature was now rapidly shaking its head trying to dislodge the arrow.

“Hm…..” as if By instinct I quickly drew both pistols I had and immediately unloaded both their magazines into the Utahraptor’s body and head.

I quickly reloaded both pistols and kicked the Utahraptor’s corpse.

“BEHIND YOU!” Toda-Kun shouted as a second Utahraptor leaped behind me!

However…. Toda threw a sickle in my direction, to which… I quickly grabbed it and parried the Utahraptor by slashing it from it's bare stomach all the way to its bottom jaw causing it to die immediately.

“Geez! Where are these guys coming from!?” Shouted Senko.

And they're only targeting me… these guys aren't wild Utahraptors at all, they're not too high level for this area! They're from…

“My oh my~! It seems you have properly dispatched my pets this time, I should sue you for animal abuse, hahaha!” A man with a long sleeved blue-green sweater, a red scarf, brown pants, a thigh garter and a black cowboy hat approached us.

“You….” I was face to face with my archenemy… ***Diego!!!***

Diego Smirked at us while clapping his hands. His red eyes glowed sharply as the wind brushed past his golden hair.

“Diego… What are you doing here?” I snapped.

“That's the bastard that attacked you!?” Senko stood beside me.

I silently nodded as Senko made a break for him with his Bo-Staff! Unfortunately….

A girl dressed as a maid jumped in the way of Senko's attack, she had tanned skin, elf ears, red eyes and long silver hair, and a massive bust to boot.

“Any enemy of Master is My enemy!” The girl coldly announced.

“Damn… her breasts are massive!”

I quickly turned my head and realized it was Toda-Kun who made the remark.

“Master, let me handle these mongrel lowlifes!” The elf girl demanded Diego run, however I wasn't about to let that happen!

I dashed to her direction and slid between her legs and got a glimpse of what's under, causing the girl to stagger from embarrassment to which I kicked Diego on the abdomen knocking him on his ass and tackled her towards Senko and Toda-Kun!

“Yuuki you Bastard!” Diego got up and pulled out a pair of sharp daggers with serrated blades.

“Let’s see how you fair a 3 v 1 then!”

“You can't run! The girl shouted but… I quickly shot her in the face causing her to respawn… hopefully she wasn't close”

“You! How dare you hurt her!”

Diego’s eyes was filled with rage and he ran towards us three!
