Yuuki's P.O.V.

As the pair of allosaurus chased after Hikari and Myself, I maintained a far distance from Kana and the gigantopithecus, and a medium distance between The Allosaurus, Hikari and Myself.

“Hikari-san, I'll be relying on you from here on!” I asked after we landed and avoided the initial charge from the allosaurus pair I aggravated.

“Right! I'll be sure to support Yuu-san as much as I can!”

Hikari-san pumped herself up and prepared what looked like mini cannonballs the size of marbles and used her slingshot at the direction of the allosaurus pair which created a smoke bomb and a miniature explosion!

“Woah Where'd that come from?” I never expected Hikari-san to be carrying explosives, maybe I was the one that should be supporting her in this fight!

After the mini explosions caused a smoke screen, the pair of allosaurus simply rushed Through the smoke with light burns and chars on their skin indicating they tanked through the explosions Hikari-san blasted at them, and not just that, they were also bridging our distance advantage fast!

“Okay okay! We need to go!” I panicked as Hikari-san grabbed my arm as We ran away in a diagonal direction every 12 feet in order to try to slow down the allosaurus duo by having them run in a snake-like manner.

As we maintained our distance advantage, I couldn't help but recall the last time I was in a group of four, We weren't able to properly plan out our attack. I vividly remember that herrerasaurus infestation we raided. It happened just after my first encounter with Diego. That incident impacted My relationship with both Kana and Haruka-senpai negatively Because I simply refused to acknowledge the fact that my two close friends were simply trying to help me!

But this time, I'm not letting anyone down! They voted me as the leader then I'll take the reins and guide them to victory, screw being lower levels, screw having the worst gear out of the four players present here and having the worst stats in the group! I'm here to guide my friends to victory if it's the last thing I do!

Unlike last time where I snapped at my friends and dragged Senko into a battlefield with me, now I'm coordinating our assault plan in order to win!

Looking back I noticed that Kana and the gigantopithecus were doing exactly what I planned! She was using his shoulder as leverage while she whittle down the 5 allosaurus they were fighting! She was shooting them with bullets, throwing shurikens at them and even using the gigantopithecus’ momentum in order to latch on the allosaurus back and Damage it herself, while aggravating a few of them to target her and give the Large Monke an opening to attack first!

Kana truly is an incredible person, her strength completely matched her willpower! Maybe someday I can be just as strong.

We kept running until We saw a fairly large rock near the distance. Once Hikari-san and I were a good Distance away from the pair of allosaurus it was time for Us to set our own counterattack.

“Hikari-san…”

“Yes, I know.”

I nodded as we ran opposite of each other and circled the rock, knowing the allosaurus were chasing us individually… the moment we did our U-Turn, we slide between both allosaurus legs causing them to crash into each other knocking them down!

“The plan worked! Now's our chance!” I started whittling them down with both my revolvers, constantly firing bullets at their knees and lower abdomen.

“Right!” Hikari-san used her slingshot to bombard the allosaurus pair with more of her explosive mini cannonball causing a large smoke screen to engulf the nearby area.

As the smoke cloud thickened I started multiple sets of three knives into the smoke screen knowing for a fact at least a dozen or more of them would skewer both theropods hindering them further!

Even though we managed to completely engulf both of them with the explosions and from Hikari-san's mini cannonball explosives as well as my rapid knife throw, I knew for a fact that the allosaurus wasn't going down just like that!

“Hikari-san, that's not close to being enough. Let's do our best and try to take them down one at a time.”

As much as I wanted to boast about them weakening, the Game’s beastiary says that Allosaurus has the highest amount of HP and Defense out of every theropod! Surpassing the likes of Albertosaurus, deinocheirus, sinraptor, pycnonemosaurus, Sinraptor, neovenator, megalosaurus, daspletosaurus, and ichthyovenator, with the only other theropods being able to even try taking them down in a few hits includes Sauroniops, Rugops Primus, Maip macrothorax, Mapusaurus, Meraxes Gigas, Dynamo Terror, Giganotosaurus, saurophaganax, Carcharodontosaurus, Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the murder Turkey itself, Therizinosaurus!

Allosaurus was the Lion and Honey badger of the Morrison formation and Kyoryu online did them justice by making them a bigger menace!

“I know! Let's separate them from each other and handle them separately! Let's each go into a different side of the forest to at least hinder their mobility, while doing that lets make sure the other isn't that far so we can aid each other easily!” Hikari-san voiced her enthusiasm for her plan!

Hikari-san may not look like it but she's very intelligent when it comes to strategy. A great leader must listen to his teammates and Work together for a greater achievement and that's exactly what I'm about to do!

“Right, activate your voice call and let's make sure to come back in one piece!”

Hikari-san and I jumped away from each other as both of the allosaurus rushed out of the smoke cloud, skewered by knives on each side and completely burned skin. Hikari-san and I ran for the forest but made sure to be within 30 meters of each other.

“Yuu-san sure you stay safe!” Hikari-san voiced the call as she disappeared from sight.

“Don’t worry about me, I'll be sure to lead us to victory.”

With Hikari-san on her own, I was left to myself to stay alive and win this, hopefully Kana and Toda are doing well on their own.

I ran a fair distance, prepared my revolvers and fired at the Allosaurus underbelly which shrugged them off as it effortlessly crashed through several trees, knocking them down.

I fired my grappling gun to a tree branch just In front of the allosaurus and immediately retracted it, zipping me extremely fast towards the allosaurus.

“This is it!” I immediately kicked its jaw open and threw a set of three daggers down its throat along with unloading an entire magazine in its mouth just to make sure internal bleeding set in before I got zipped behind it.

I was able to land on a tree branch where I then unsheathed my katana and leaped on its back, stabbing it right on the spine.

The impact however caused the allosaurus to go berserk! It started running through several trees, where we both took impacts from its branches, trunks and other falling debris

“Jeez! How durable are you!!?” I grunted as several branches struck my gut, face and arms.

“Yuu-san, are you okay over there!?” Hikari shouted through voice call.

“Hikari-san? you're still there!?” I held on to my Katana forcing it deeper down the allosaurus back while making sure to not fall off.

“Yes I Am! The voice call told me, You're getting too far to co-” the voice call got cut off!

Damn it! I forced myself to stand up and dodge all the incoming branches while tanking all the trunks that the allosaurus kept rushing through!

“I've had it… I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!” I held tightly on the katana and ejected myself In Front of the allosaurus with the katana in hand.

I rushed towards the allosaurus, Sliding beneath it and sliced its gut open before sheathing it back. Looking at my health bar I was only in 60% health

“Did my body adjust to all the damage I accumulated all this time?” I panted as I looked back at the Allosaurus I killed, its gut splattered on the forest floor.

Noticing that my hands were completely covered in blood made me realize how terrifying the game can be… but that didn't matter, I have to get back Hikari-san and the others.

“That's enough resting…” I tried standing up.

“My~ My~ you sure look like you are in a pickle.” a familiar voice called out to me.

“Show yourself” As if snapping back to reality I got up and prepared my katana and revolver.

“Oh come on now, that's no way to talk to a friend.” A familiar boy with a cowboy hat walked out from behind a tree along with a pair of Utahraptors by his side…

“Diego… were you following me in order to get a chance to have Toda-kun join your stupid Clan?”

Diego simply grinned, his arms were in his pockets, he was completely relaxed… as if no malice to be sensed.

Even if he wasn't here intending to pick a fight, this situation is extremely unfavorable for me. I just finished fighting an allosaurus that I had to weaken severely with Hikari-san’s help before I could even try to kill it alone. Now I'm surrounded by Diego and his two pets!?

“I'm asking you a question, What do you want?” I remained on guard.

“Oh~ nothing much~! Oh my you dropped your balls!”

“I beg your pardo-”

“Take this!” Diego Immediately threw what looked like a grenade at my feet which immediately released a thick pink smoke.

Gasping for air I held my breath trying to back away… however I didn't feel any harm coming, but instead I got healed back to full health and full strength… wait no, It's like I've gotten way stronger overall!

“Now we're even, Yuuki Rin,” Diego smirked.

Hearing him call out my name like that, was something that shook me to my very core! How did this guy know my name!?

“How did you…”

“Simple, You're Sakura-san’s close friend.”

“Sakura-san? You mean Haruka-Senpai? How did you know our names!?” I sheathed my katana back.

“Is it not obvious yet~? you may call me Takeda-senpai~ I found out when Sakura-san mentioned the game back at the clubroom” Diego said as he stepped on the allosaurus’ corpse while putting his hand on his hip.

This guy's my Senior… well he did have the same hair and eyes but… why did he make himself shorter? Nevermind that I can't show any weaknesses.

“What's the catch?” I sternly asked.

“The catch?” Diego raised an eyebrow

I simply nodded trying to process why he just healed me.

“It's quite simple Rin-san, I'm a double agent within the Enrico Clan, My goal is to take them down.” Diego Stepped away from the allosaurus corpse.

“A double agent? You personally went after me when I was alone!” I snapped at him.

“My apologies, You see, I had to do that as a red herring in order to fool the Clan’s higher-ups just so they wouldn't suspect a thing from my team,” Diego explained.

“And why is that?” I asked while crossing my arms together.

“You see that caravan you foiled, was planned to fail from the moment they were transferred back to one of the clan’s base camps, we rigged the cages to open up when the People transferring them reaches at least 20 meters away and let the Neovenators clean up the camp, after which My team and I would destroy the camp's evidences. But the little stunt you two pulled got me demoted causing me to lose several privileges to use to take them down myself.”

“And why are you turning to me then?”

“It's quite simple, I'm here to recruit you and your friends to take them down either from within or guns blazing whichever suits your fancy.”

“What makes you think I would just agree to join you?” I finally relaxed.

“Well if you must know, the Enrico Clan's plan is to slowly mutate and weaponize the many dinosaurs and other creatures in the game, it would just ruin the fun for everyone else, Is that a good enough reason for you~?”

“It is… and before I accept anything from you, I have one last question.” I looked him dead in the eye.

“What is that supposed to be?”

“The question is… Where's your maid?”

“My maid? Hahaha… that's truly unexpected from you, well you must know~ she's currently working part time at BurGirl Shack! Now then Do we have a deal?” Diego reached out his hand.

“We do.” I shook his hand.

“Well that's all the time I can give~ Let us meet later Rin-san” Diego walked back to his Utahraptors.

“Right…”

“Oh, and one more thing, please try to hide your feelings from Sakura-san a bit better next time, your envy towards Toru was very obvious~ Bye bye~” Diego and His pair of Utahraptors walked off.

Could I really trust him despite him personally hunting me down even if it's all a ploy to throw suspicion away from his team's failure?

Well right now it didn't matter whatsoever, I need to get back to the others.

With my newly healed and powered up body, I tried sensing where everyone was… I immediately knew Hikari-san was near the direction of the mess The Allosaurus made.

“Its like whatever Diego did Made my power skyrocket.”

I dashed through the torn apart forest and Immediately spotted Hikari-san rapidly jumping between tree branches pelting the allosaurus she was fighting with explosive mini cannonballs. The allosaurus looked like it was completely charged and injured and at the brink of collapse!

“She's really doing well alone… wait!” I spotted that she was about to leap on a loose branch and could fall down towards the allosaurus. “I'm not letting her die!”

I dashed, quickly bridging the gap between me and the allosa when… Hikari-san fell as expected, plummeting to the ground and the allosaurus was about to eat her alive when… the allosaurus got knocked on its ass and the girl with short black hair and red eyes saved Hikari-san, carrying her like a princess, It was Black Luna.

“Now's your chance, Ryuki-kun.” Black Luna landed on her feet and placed Hikari-san on the smooth rock.

“Right!” channeling all my strength I dashed through the remaining trees and as I was about to collide with the allosaurus that was struggling to get up… I unsheathed my katana when a massive slash was heard, I landed on my feet and sheathed it back as the allosaurus head fell to the ground.

“Ara~ I didn't know Ryuki-kun was that strong on his own~” Black Luna placed her hand on her hips.

“It's a long story…” I explained what happened before she saved me and after I left the cave.

“I see~ Allosaurus are no good to fight 4 to 9, But don't worry, I'll be there to help?” Black Luna nodded In a motherly way.

“Thank you for saving me!” Hikari-san happily bowed.

“Ara~ aren't you just a precious one, Well then shall we go?”

“Yeah!” Hikari-san and I enthusiastically accepted.
