“Its case is made of plastic, it won’t last long.” My brother told me in an attempt to dissuade me from selecting a certain gun type device. Yup, another device I want to buy is gun type device. However, right now my brother and I have different opinions while my sister is happily watching us argue. Here is the specification of the particular gun type device.

It looks so cool! I repeat it twice because it’s important. It even has a small display on one side of the barrel that shows my current status. Moreover, the pre-programmed spell is even better than what I can cast at the moment.

This spell has a high symbol count so it won’t cast instantaneously but 6-8 spell/seconds is more than enough. The feeling of shooting them from a different direction is not much different from the [Thunderbolt] spell so I was able to familiarize myself with it in no time.
Then last but not least, it’s a dual energy source device. I could use either energy from myself or from a monster core. The gun came with two spare monster core clips with a capacity of 12 small sized monster cores. The feeling of inserting and ejecting the clip made it feel like I was using a real gun.
My brother complained about it a lot, but in the end, when I put my foot down my brother gave in. It seems hierarchical order in my household was established.
The SG17 also came with belt clip holster, however, the place to put it on is already occupied by the Wakizashi so the shopkeeper exchanged it for a shoulder rig holster for free while he said ‘it’s a promotion’ but somehow I doubt that. He must be a lolicon I concluded. The feeling of drawing and holstering is smooth and satisfying. The shoulder rig holster also came with two sockets for monster core magazines. However, with my energy capacity, I might never need to use that, though. Maybe I will try to draw my gun in front of the mirror and say “You talkin’ to me?” when I am alone.
The last device I need to buy is the portable porn stash- Ahem, I mean a dimensional ring. However, they don’t have one that fits my finger size, so I have to select one from the bracelet section. The price is decided based on the size of the pocket dimension inside.

“Sister Pristia, do I need to buy something else for school?” I require more information to plan my budget correctly.
“Hmm, your clothes are already pretty enough, and the daily necessity will be provided by the school.” Wait sister! There is something I don’t understand here. Are you expecting me to fight monsters in these clothes?
“W-Would it be fine? Won’t I need something ... more robust?” I have to change the word in the middle of the sentence because of my sister's facial expression which is I'm really weak against. Will I develop immunity against her tears in the future?
“It’s fine, Kuro. These clothes have a self-repair function. Or do you want to have more of them?” What? They are indestructible curse items after all?!
Before she dragged me to the clothing store, I hurriedly bought a 4 cubic meter dimensional bracelet while I heard a *tch* from behind. I heard that, my sister!
The bracelet material has the feeling of anodized aluminum. It has light blue-green color with a matte surface. The center of it has a shallow straight line groove. Once I wear it, I could felt like there was an invisible space I could reach with my new insubstantial hand.... No, the insubstantial tentacle that popped up from nowhere. I tested it by depositing and withdrawing the gun and the sword I bought a few times without a problem. The energy drain from the bracelet is negligible. However, the process takes several seconds to complete.
We got almost an hour until 6 PM so we decide to have a mock battle to help to familiarize me with the devices and help them to understand my capabilities better. Before we start, my brother applied some kind of white and sticky gooey liquid that smells like a squid on my Wakizashi edge while my sister also does the same on her twin ... one handed axes? Is that what they call a Tomahawk? ... Sister, you're ruining your image. At least use a rapier or something!
“Only use the training bullet spell. Don’t use any dragon shouts and try to avoid hitting any vital spot with close combat devices. The fight ends if one of us gets hit. Is that right?” I confirmed the rules again. Both of them nodded.
The first fight is between my brother and me. We stand about 20 meters apart, and my sister gave the signal. My brother used two different handguns. One of them is the S225 which is the model that I was using when trying the gun type device. The other one is an expensive looking big shiny silver handgun which I don’t remember the specifications of but if I recall correctly it has the highest gain among all student grade equipment. So I should focus on dodging the bullets rather than trying to block it.
The fight began with the both of us running around in a zigzag fashion to avoid incoming spells from both sides. It’s a good thing that my Wakizashi has a wide interference field because even though it couldn't block the incoming spells the field area still served as an early warning. A few milliseconds of early detection are not much, but the muscle memory of my new body could react just in time. To make matters worse most of the incoming spells came from my blind spot. While more than half of them could be blocked by my interference field, I had to consciously block them.
In a few seconds, I managed to dodge and slashed away more than 10 bullets while firing back with my gun in rapid succession. Most of my bullets were blocked by something, but it’s alright because that's what I was hoping for. I know that I have more magic energy than my brother so if I can drain his energy then it will be my win. While we are fighting, I try to move closer to him, but my brother smartly moved away with a well-placed spell to slow me down and retreat strategically. It’s annoying, but I have to be patient. Time is on my side.
Several seconds later, he dropped both of his guns and draws another two out. Oi! Don’t tell me he has monster core powered devices as a spare! Even as we're fighting in the hail of bullets, I could swear that he was smirking at me. Calm down me, even if he has more energy, my strategy will still work. All his attacks need energy while I can conserve the energy by just dodging and blocking with my sword.
Soon after that, it has become a battle of attrition. I try to force him to use more energy by getting closer to him and firing at him repeatedly. After he had replaced the second sets of additional clips, he gave up. My gun is hot to the touch if fight drew on any longer it might've overheated.
“I should prepare some faster spells to fight you with next time.” My brother said picking up all of his equipment. Yup, if his spells were any faster than they were then I would have been in trouble. I already had a lot of close calls in this fight. Only 2.4 meter of early detection is not much compared to the spells that travel as fast as bullets, even with my new body’s superhuman reflexes. However, if I could use dragon shouts, it would be a different matter.
The fighting with my sister is easier but still kept me on edge. I never knew that an ax fighter could be this agile. Her dynamic fighting style and how she keeps changing her holds of the axes almost hooked my Wakizashi away. The interference field that was supposed to cover her when she came close was pushed back to have the border to somewhere between my sister and me. Is this because her interference field and mine are counteracting each other? Nevertheless, with my perks, superior strength, speed and dynamic vision I could still hold my ground with only one Wakizashi.
The sparks generated by the clashing between our weapons are flying everywhere. I doubt that the white sticky, gooey liquid that applied beforehand would save us from the direct impact of our weapons. At the moment when I got distracted from the jiggling of her boobs, my Wakizashi slipped between her axes and hit her collarbone directly. Oops. My sister flew back around 4 meters and was lying down on the floor.
“Are you alright, Pristia?!” I panicked and ran to her.
“It’s ok. I jumped back in time. Kuro-chan is so strong! It was like fighting a master swordsman!” I don’t know how strong a master swordsman is and I don’t care about it because right now I’m trying to check her for injuries and I found a big bruise on her collarbone. I tried to cast [Heal Other] on her, but it felt like my spell was blocked by something. Maybe it’s her interference field so I stop casting because it might waste her energy blocking my recovery spell. Several long seconds later my sister moves her hand to heal herself, and the bruise disappeared in a matter of seconds.
“Shh... It’s ok. It’s ok” Is what my sister said while hugging me. Once I realized that there were tears on my cheeks, I couldn’t stop the tears from pouring out anymore. Looking back on this event I felt that I was oversensitive somehow. It’s almost like I cried every day after I got this new body. Maybe it’s some kind of hormone thing.
“Uhu.. *hic*, I’m sorry, *hic*, I’m sowy” I kept saying this in my sister’s arms while having difficulty breathing, I sobbed convulsively while my tears fell down ... no pouring down to be precise. I almost killed her so I promised myself not to get distracted while fighting again.
My brother was surprised when I burst into tears. After a while, he walked over to us and gave me his handkerchief. The men of my family are so gentlemanly. I wiped my tears and blew my nose into it then tossed it back to my brother. However, my brother received it with a strained face. If he doesn’t want me to use it he shouldn’t give it to me in the first place, right? What a difficult to understand brother.
